Well located hotel in central historic precinct. “Raffles at a fraction of the price” - they share history. Do the heritage tour with Jean to appreciate the location. Preferably with high tea beforehand - that’s superb and includes local flavours presented beautifully. Walk to marina, Canning Hill, lots of shops. And MRT station right across the road when your feet get tired. Lots of food options on three levels downstairs - find the Portuguese tart shop on B2.

The breakfast was VERY good. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and had many breakfast but this one was indeed great. It might sound like a small detail but a hotel serving fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries and strawberries), I think I never seen that!! The quality and variety of the food was excellent. Recommend it 100%. Also the staff was very service minded and extremely nice. Specially since we had two small kids, they made an effort to make us all feel welcome. Thank you!

The baby crib was a bit "out dated", I think this could use an upgrade. Would be nice to also have a blanket with the crib. The black out curtains did not really make the room very dark, I think it could be solved pretty easily, but it made light enter just by the bed where you lie your head, a bit annoying.

Stop looking for the perfect hotel in Singapore because you have just found it! My husband and I were blown away by this fabulous hotel!. All the staff from the bellboy, check-in, cleaners and restaurant staff were extremely polite and friendly. We stayed in a beautiful Heritage room, which was clean and very spacious. The hotel food was DELICIOUS! I have never seen so much variety at breakfast and brunch, I have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world, so I say this with certainty. The hotel is within walking distance of all the attractions and the train station is a 5 minute walk if you want to explore further. The Management should be proud of their staff and what they have accomplished as this hotel is truly a guests dream.

Location is perfect. Rooms are very clean. Staff is nice.

More amenities could be provided in the room and the speed of service could be faster. Also, quality of phone line when calling reception was not good.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The management team is highly professional and attentive, ensuring every guest feels valued and well cared for. The reception staff was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making check-in and check-out seamless and pleasant. They were always ready to assist with a smile, adding a personal touch to the stay. The restaurant staff deserves special recognition for their outstanding service and culinary expertise. Every meal was a delight, and their attention to detail and warm hospitality made dining a highlight of my visit. Overall, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel offers an extraordinary level of service, making it a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Singapore. Looking forward to returning!

Located in the city center, the hotel is a historical building. Very much closed to the metro, so overall excellent in location. Service matches 5 stars hotel. Breakfast is fantastic, with choices of traditional Singaporean food (Chinese/Indian etc.) as well as "western" choices. You can get some honey from a hive at breakfast which is quite interesting experience. Room is spacious and with a terrace. Comparing with other 5 star hotels and the overall price in Singapore, I consider the price to be relatively fair. They also provide extra complementary bottled water upon asking, which is handy.

Due to the fact that the building is historical, the room is kinda old and you can see it from the floor. I don't consider the interior to be modern, though you can live comfortably.

A wonderful property with a lot of classic touches. The hotel is not very large (150 rooms) so it has a lot of personal touches. They upgraded me from a deluxe room to a Heritage room, which has an enclosed balcony, which I put to full use because that's where they put the desk. High end and tastefully done. Surprisingly - free minibar. Lovely and polite staff, just what you expect from a Kempinsky. Also very conveniently located, and the City Hall station is just a couple of minutes away.

The only negative I would say is that the breakfast didn't have any halal meat options, and in fact some of the staff weren't sure how to answer the questions. Overall, 9 out of 10.

Booking.com gave me a good deal where a free upgrade was included. After that the Hotel gave me the option to further upgrade the room at a nominal charge. That made all the difference. Good sized room with all the amenities. Comfortable bed. Personalised check-in and check-out unlike several business hotels in Singapore where you have to do everything yourself.

The wardrobe and minibar areas had lighting that didn't go off, so it was not dark enough in the room. The balcony had upholstery which was not geared for the rains, so I couldn't use the balcony at all, because the seats were always wet!

Excellent Hotel location in walking distance to bus station and plenty other areas of concern. Excellent breakfast options with above and beyond standards customer services by all morning staff.

Check-in process and waiting time in order to enter our room was a little more prolonged than usual due to unavailability of room and our early check-in. Something we had informed in advance the Hotel reception, but without any mitigation plan in action. Hotel’s small lobby could also not serve the purpose of waiting for couple of hours after a long 12-hours trip to reach Singapore.

Staff was superb in their interaction right from the word go, hats off to David Head of Security for guiding us thru NDP dry runs, places of interest and our interests based on our length of stay. Front desk and concierge perfect and so was the hotel staff and housekeeping - there were actually people of all age groups working from young to seniors Being veg options were always going to be limited in breakfast spread however the staff ensured to take care of details without being asked - Stayed for 3 nights

There was nothing not to like - everything was perfect
