The Spa (pool & steam room); the bed, THE STAFF - ALL REALLY FRIENDLY & EFFECIENT - especially ELLA on Checking in; AND MATT afterwards, & ON Checking out! AND BEFORE ALL THAT, MR SHAUN THYSSE, Manager, on allocating us one of our two FAVOURITE Rooms! Also, the lady on Reception in the Spa (on Saturday 29th March, and Monday, 31st March) - who is having her third baby in September: EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY and a DELIGHT to deal with! The bidet in our said favourite needs to be made operational - attached to its hot and cold water supply - PLEASE!

Very clean and modern facility, pool areas was nice although extremely busy when we attended so was hard to enjoy.

Breakfast was the most awful experience of the whole stay I’ve been here a couple of times now and the breakfast is very disappointing, the quality is ok but there only ever seems to be one chef on who cannot keep up with demand, when I arrived for breakfast it was quite yet at three items had ran out, when one was topped up another was ran out, I ended up grabbing a few bits that they had and gave up after three attempts to get my self a full breakfast, this to be honest let the whole stay down and would look to go else were next time solely for this reason as this is the second time I’ve experienced this at breakfast

Clean, Modern, very large bedroom, liked that it was a double bed and 2 singles, no sofa bed which is nice. Great location with lots around, staff were great in the bar / restaurant area, very good food

Just needed some TLC in the room and doors. Didn’t like the self check in when a staff member is trying to make small talk. Either do it and be helpful or don’t distract when trying to understand what you’re doing

Bacon was overcooked and very greasy, other than that breakfast was brilliant, the swimming pool was nice but the jacuzzi. Could do with a little touch up on the tiles outside tiles missing and grubby! Had to change our band for the lockers 4 times as didn’t work, staff very helpfull and polite, would stay again, bathroom in the room had mould around the shampoo holder and around the bath silicone! Few cobwebs in the bedroom , but overhaul was pleased with the hotel,

Check in was very easy. staff were on hand to help with queries and issues. I have stayed at the hotel many times and knew what to expect; it didn;t disappoint. The staff everywhere was welcoming and always had a smile and greeting. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Plenty of tables. I saw one member of staff assinting a guest on crutches pick the items and deliver it to the table. Excellent. An excellent venue for get togethers and conventions. They can cope.

The only downside was hat the lighting in the room was restricted to individual kights. Even with the blinds raised the room is dark. I would like more salads and non-fatty foods in the bar menu,

Sack the rude rotund guy on reception with brown hair and glasses, never known anyone in a hotel so rude arguing and snapping at me saying i had no booking even after i showed him the email confirmation. Wanted to smack him one.

Also trying to order food at busy bar and being told needed to download the pointless app, and person at bar saying cant do it without. Will not be back.

Most comfortable bed I think I have slept in for a long time! Good food in the restaurant , efficient service , and decent breakfast. We only booked 2 hours before arrival and were very impressed with the size of the room for the price :)

Nothing to dislike , but if I were to mention anything negative , would only be minor things noticed in the room of showing signs of wear and tear ; cracked sink Room 267 , a few stains on carpet and curtains but it must be hard to keep on top of these things when busy .

Went to visit my sister in Swindon overnight so sister told me to book Village inn for the night as I was going to Poole the next day

I didn't like the receptionist the greeted me as soon I walked in the hotel I thought she was abrupt as it was the first time I had been to the hotel she also ask were I parked which is were the staff parked but I found a space as I have arthritis in the knees and have trouble walking she says that my car could get scratch so said that I should parked in the main car park

It was a lovely hotel. Lovely facilities. It's very warm and inviting. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable. Easy access to WiFi. There are plenty of plug sockets. Nice to have an iron in the room. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. I thought it was well worth the money and not expensive at all, compared to other places I've stayed at. I will definitely be staying here again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

For us the Village is ideally located to visit family in and around the area, especially at Christmas as it acts as a great base. Starbucks and restaurant onsite which is also great. Book a Club room and you get gym/pool access.

Hotel is a little dated now and the bathrooms really show this. Also the hotel is quite dark, mainly due to the striped wallpaper and dark furniture. They could do with a lick of paint and even a change of light bulbs would make a difference. Personally I’d like to see a coffee machine rather than kettle but the Starbucks downstairs covers this 😄 Our room we struggled to get cold (yes cold) water and we could not switch the air con off which was very loud but everything else was fab.
