A very different experience from your usual hotels. The hotel provides traditional vibes, where the guest areas are all covered in tatami flooring, so guests are expected to remove their shoes when entering guest areas. Slippers can be requested from the reception. Hotel also has its own onsen bath and sauna within the hotel. For those who prefer privacy, there is a wooden tub in the room itself, where the hot spring water is piped into the tub. Got the double room, which is the standard size for a hotel room. Staff was able to converse well in English and were very helpful with requests. The hotel provides free probiotics drinks in the morning and free ice cream and half sized ramen at night. You can refuel after a soak in the onsen. The hotel is a little out of the way from the train station, but there is a tram station within 2 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers free round trip tram tickets, which can be requested from the reception, making it even more accessible.

I booked this hotel because my friend enjoys onsen, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The entire hotel is tatami (traditonal Japanese flooring), so you leave your shoes in the shoe lockers near the front desks. The hot springs were so nice- the staff give everyone information on how to properly use the facilities, so don't worry if you aren't super knowledgeable. The front desk also has patches to cover small/medium sized tattoos- if you are unable to cover your tattoos you are not allowed in the the hot springs. There was also free ice cream for after your bath. Breakfast was also great. All around, I highly recommend this hotel of you don't mind being a bit away from the station.

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan. The hotel offered great perks including public and private onsen in your own room, free noodles, popsicles and ice cream bars at a certain time, awesome massage chairs, free tram tickets, etc. The room was beautiful and spacious where I had room to leave my checked luggage opened and still have room to walk around. I was solo travelling and this was the hotel I chose to splurge on for two days and it was definitely worth it! I actually wished I stayed here the whole time I was in Toyama. I loved that everyone walks around the hotel in the cute pjs and slippers they provide you and everything was so clean. I need to come back here!!

The only thing I could think of was the wifi. It did cut in and out for a few seconds like 2-3x.

Location is convenient by around 10 minutes tram or taxi and there’s quite a no. Of restaurants around the hotels so easy to find a decent restaurant for dining Although situated in the centre of city, it provides hot springs both indoor and outdoor which is not common. The room is just a standard size of typical Japan but they put a lot of small touch like the bathroom is a private Onsen style which is really good They also provide complementary snacks like jelly, drink, ice pops and ramen at night. The breakfast buffet is also amazing provides wide variety of options and food is of good quality. Staff and services are also friendly and attentive. Overall, the hotel is well above average par of a 3-star hotel. It’s an impressive and wonderful stay and will definitely try their hotels in other cities.

Onsens, though often very busy. Location, good a/c, nice Japanese shower tub with spa water. Comfortable mattress.

Whilst liking the Japanese concept I got tired of walking around on compressed tatami mats and the shoe taking on and off was difficult, not enough Western height seats. The height of bed, chair and stool too low for comfort. The pillows were standard Dormy Inn bags of mortar. The worst in 2 whole weeks of travel excepting same at Dormy Inn Osaka.

The location is great with a shopping mall next to it and many cafes, food carts and restaurants nearby. It is also within walking distance to many popular places such as the Glass Art Museum and Matsukawa River. The rooms were quiet at night despite being at the center of the city. The breakfast variety wasn't that wide but was still sufficient for us. And they provided us with many local dishes which we highly appreciated.

Love the tatami design and I’m always a fan of the ramen! Also great that they provide tattoo seal for small tattoos to enter their onsen. On my departure date, I waited at the nearby bus stop for the bus to the airport which did not arrive. I returned to the hotel for help and it turned out that the bus schedule had changed and the hotel was not aware and Google Maps was not updated as well. The reception (Watanabe san?) was super kind to accompany me across the street to the bus stop to recheck the timings and ensured I could take the next bus.

Tip: request for free tram tickets from the counter during check in (only provided aft we requested for it. It's part of nagano tourism promo) Nice breakfast buffet (but was refused entry initially.. got to show them the booking.com booking info before they let us in.. kinda unpleasant as we hold up the queue for a couple of mins)

We are a family of four and stayed in two double rooms for two nights. We were actually not looking for an Onsen hotel (which is what the hotel is), just for a nice place to stay in Toyama, after visiting Kanazawa and before setting out to the Tateyama-Kurobe alpine route. The hotel was clean and nice. Staff were friendly, Tatami rooms gave good atmosphere. Treats were a nice surprise: free ramen after 9 pm, free probiotics and sweet snacks at other hours, free tram rides. We didn’t get to use all these bonuses (and I’m the only one who tried the onsen downstairs) but they were very nice. Rooms were a little bit too small and not very comfy. There is a lot wooden onsen bath inside the room. Very close to the glass museum.

Small rooms are not very convenient. Beds weren’t very convenient either. No Netflix, YouTube availability and they charge for VOD. Not very close to the Toyama/Dentetsu station.

They offer a wonderful variety of pools, a sauna, a steam room, and a pool connected to open air. The thoughtful amenities, from shoes and bath cloths to complimentary ice cream, add a delightful touch to the overall experience. The onsen was a perfect gift at the right time, especially after several days of travel and while preparing for the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route. The accommodations are compact but comfortable, and they don’t detract from the exceptional onsen experience.
