The staff is so nice and helpfull. All are Englishspeaking. I was in a dorm with aircon, and it's on. They don't cut it off all the time! They have a restaurant on 5th floor where you can have all your meals. And it's not very expensive. You can live here without leaving if you want. 5th floor also has a common room where you can hang out, read some of the books they have, drink a beer or two, and enjoy talking to other guests. It's about hospitality and this place has it all. And for me.. it's walking distance to Intramuros and all the museums in there. Or a short ride in a taxi. 5 min. walk from a very big shoppingmall. Oh. . free drinkingwater. Just bring your own bottle :-) And hot water to if you want it for coffee or what ever. Do I have to say more? I will be back.

I really liked this place. I had the basic single room, and it's not for everyone, but you don't come here for the rooms.. It was just like budget accommodation was in the Philippines 30 years ago, as basic as they come, yet so likeable. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Upstairs is this incredibly nice and airy terrace bar, with a basic restaurant. Indoor and outdoor sitting area, and designated smoking area. You can finish your day with a cold one, with this superb view of all the skyscrapers with 5 star hotels. Back in the days there were so many hotels like this all over the Philippines...and I hope I'll find more of them. They have sadly disappeared from many parts of South East Asia. The WiFi is excellent, and I was happy when I discovered that in the Philippines they take payment for rooms online, so you don't have to chase ATMs all the time.

It was nothing I didn't like, but I think they would benefit A LOT from fixing the check in time on Booking.com!!! 10.00-12.00, it says, (which means 12 noon), and check out from 00.00 to (which means midnight). NO, you don't have just a 2 h window to check in. You can check in ANY time. It's staffed 24h. You can arrive here very late from any international flight, any bus, any ferry, and no need to worry about delays. This is important to know, as many of us have been travelling in Europe or other countries (even Taiwan), where check in time is EXTREMELY strict, and cut off times ARE taken seriously, and if they are just arriving in the Philippines, they think that it's the case here as well. Just book, pay and turn up any time.

My 2nd time here. I returned after having travelled around Luzon for 3 weeks, and this time I appreciated it even more than when I first arrived in Manila. I took the cheapest room I could find, and yes, it was the old style rock bottom basic type, but that's perfectly fine...because the rooftop is a Godsend in the Philippines, especially if you like to....and have a few cold ones and some food, all at the same place. Got stuck here for some extra days due to a typhoon. What better place to get stuck! Excellent WiFi which worked right through the typhoon.

Price- Affordable for solo traveler like me Location- close to the mall and transportation Staff- kind,attentive and very accommodating Room- clean and AC function very well. I will definitely go back here next time.

Wonderful owner Edgar Allen Paul, experienced welcoming decent character who got a lot of tips what to see/eat/to be careful about and in a nutshell of and has a response to almost every question. Rooftop bar&restaurant with great vues/drinks and lunch meals :) Looking for a place close to Rizzal Park/Intramuros & Binondo China town - well this a sensible place to stay. Shopping centre/Pedro Gil Station in walking distance, same as attractions (+-30min)

The hostel has a good location in Manila, there are lots of sights as well as the Robinsons mall accessible by walk. Also, there is a bar/restaurant and a very bice common area with games, instruments and books on the last floor. The room was clean, too.

In the dorm with fans only it gets very very hot. Also, not every bed has a curtain which is a bit unfair for the customers. There was always someone on the reception, even though the staff was not superfriendly.

Good location in Malate/Ermita close to public transport LRT stops, jeepneys, shopping centre, supermarket, restaurant and shops. Hot water in the showers Good Wi-Fi and A/C, the shared kitchen is decently equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Lockers are pretty small and so there is not much space to store or place your belongings, no privacy curtain in the upper bunk beds. Sometimes it can get a bit noisy at night time as there is a loud music bar nearby.

The staff was really nice and helpful, the room was very clean, the other guests were also very courteous and didn't make any noise. The hostel is situated near many businesses and restaurants. The hostel also had a restaurant and laundry if you really don't want to leave the structure.

The area of Manila the hostel is situated in isn't the best, you won't get mugged on the streets because there are a lot of guards in front of the shops and other hotels but you will find beggars. As per usual being cautious is recommended for a big city such as this.

A very decent hostel at a good location. The room is clean, each bed has power sockets and a curtain for privacy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to everything one may need.. Nice rooftop with a view and a chill atmosphere. Great choice for solo and budget travelers

the property is very clean from bed to comfort room, even tho your sharing with a lot of people but still they always make sure that the room and comfort room is not look messy and always look clean. everyday they pull out the trash from the garbage. the staff is very helpful and accommodating. i love the filipino food they serve. the property is very accessible of what you need. and i meet a lot of people there who stay which is very friendly. so i suggest you book here and i cant wait to go back on this hostel after 2 years.
