The hotel is beautifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style, with stunning architecture, colorful tiles, and intricate woodwork that really makes it feel like a palace. The location is perfect - right in the middle of the old Medina, close to everything: shops, cafés, and key sights like the Kasbah and the port. Despite being in a lively area, the hotel itself is very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They helped with recommendations, directions, and made sure everything was comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and had an authentic charm. I especially appreciated the rooftop terrace - perfect for breakfast or sunset views. Overall, I highly recommend Palais Zahia if you're looking for a culturally rich and comfortable stay in Tangier. I’d definitely return!
The room was very small.

An oasis of calm and grandeur in the medina. Lovely spaces to relax in, eat, take mint tea or just enjoy the view. There is a Hammam below the hotel, I didn't use it as I only had 1 night here, but was given a tour. The staff are smiley and very helpful. The breakfast was tasty, and the log fire was warming and welcoming in January. The room had air conditioning. The decor is amazing, so many photographic opportunities throughout and gorgeous terraces to lounge in, 1 with a sea view. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and a huge bed, there is a safe and a mini fridge. I loved my stay, though too short.
The fridge buzzed, I should have unplugged it, and I couldn't get the air conditioning just right, too chilly or too hot, so I didn't get a great night's sleep. But otherwise, there are no negatives to report. Great place to stay

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but comfortable. We had 2 twins, and had enough space to move around. The bathroom was a bit tight for me, but im a big girl. I was still able to work with it. The atmosphere is amazing. I loved our breakfast each morning. flat breads, olives, tomatoes, omelets, fresh orange juice. we also ate in the top floor restaurant for dinner and tea. amazing views from the roof top. A great place to enjoy the sunset. The hotel also helped us arrange transportation to Chefchaouen, with a fantastic driver. I enjoyed being able to escape the busy Medina and enter into a peaceful place. Thank you for taking care of us so well!
The provided shampoo did not work for my hair type. But that's a me problem. I usually bring bar shampoo but I forgot this time. Not a big deal.

The ambience of the hotel the minute you walk through the front doors is very ornate and courful. A mint tea welcome drink in The beautiful foyer of the hotel was a nice bonus…the location was near some lovely restaurants and close to the entrance to the Medina..staff very helpful and friendly, especially in the breakfast area..nice breakfast with ample restocking and omelette made to order
Our room was very dark, curtains were off the track. Our room overlooked a kitchen/restaurant and it was very loud and noisy until about 2am the first night we were there,

The room was very comfortable, the hotel was beautiful and the location was great. We had help with our luggage which was very appreciated, especially since you can't drive in the medina. Everyone was very helpful and patient.
The breakfast was alright. Not the best I have had in other establishment. I would also make note that for people with food intolerances or restrictions, it could be quite difficult (If you are Celiac or Gluten Intolerant, it is very difficult, as most offerings are heavy in bread and pastries).

Staff was great- always asking how you were and what they could do for you- service was excellent. The breakfast was great- wonderful breads and cheeses and fruits and juices and eggs and coffee and Nutella and .................... We also had dinner in their restaurant with live music every evening- had the fish and couscous and chicken tanginess and vegetables. The dessert tiramisu and custard were wonderful. We loved the special tea that the staff made for us when we arrived. The rooms were very clean and the staff organized our room beautifully! They made their guests feel special! The views from the top lounge are incredible and the spa is super!
Liked everything!

On arrival, we were treated to tea for two in the restaurant. The rooms were ready soon after. Lovely, clean rooms in a traditional Riad setting. My wife was most impressed with the bathroom. The location is perfect in Little Socco in the Kasbah of the old medina. Right in the centre of everything. Staff at this hotel are very professional, kind, polite and helpful. At night you can hear the live musician playing traditional music in the restaurant from the comfort of your room. Very atmospheric and pleasant. Breakfast is a buffet and taken in the restaurant. It is of excellent quality. It rained heavily on our second day but staff were on hand to lend us a hairdryer and we dried out on the sofas next to the restaurant. Very kind to lend us this.

The property was very clean, the decor was welcoming and traditional. The entire staff was outstanding and made our stay memorable. We want to do a shout out to: Soukaina, she made sure all our needs were taken care of through out our stay. Soukaina is efficient, knowledgeable and warm, her beautiful smile made us feel at home. She arranged our tours with “Magid” tour guide extraordinaire! Who can be describe as a combination of Google (so very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and general information of the area) and a cup of tea (warm and friendly).
The room was a bit too crowded…3 chairs, a desk and a coffee table. We did not have water one evening.

Nice riad pretending to be among the elite ones. In some ways it succeeds, in some others it doesn't, it probably depends on how much you pay for your stay. The staff is overall very nice and the buffet breakfast is great. The terrace is superb, enjoying the welcome tea there was an amazing experience
Our room had only one small window which faced the inner of the riad, which we didn't open much. Staff could be more on top of things. For example, upon our arrival they said they would bring our luggage to our room, we took the welcome tea and waited 30 mins. In the end we went downstairs and took our luggage ourselves.

A Hidden Gem of Authentic Moroccan Hospitality! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful riad, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a serene oasis filled with the charm and warmth of traditional Moroccan culture. The riad's architecture is stunning, with intricate tile work, vibrant colors, and traditional Moroccan craftsmanship that exudes authenticity. The central restaurant, with its tranquil fountain and lush greenery, provided the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace, where I could take in breathtaking views of the city Tanger. The fresh orange juice, homemade pastries, fresh mint tea, arabica espresso's, and variety of other Moroccan delicacies were a delightful way to start the day. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the ornate lamps to the handwoven rugs. The comfortable beds and luxurious linens made for a restful night's sleep, and the air was filled with the subtle scent of rosewater. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. They provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants and even organized a private tour of the medina and other places for me. Their genuine hospitality and kindness made me feel like a cherished guest and a part of the family . Overall, this riad is a perfect blend of authenticity, comfort, and hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the true essence of Morocco in the city of Tangier I can't wait to return! Pro tip: For all the public parkings nearby in Tangier Tip the car parking staff beforehand for an extra eye on your car. Be generous with the local people and this city will treat you well.
That I had to continue and leave this riad behind .
