We stayed for two nights! It's a small chique boutique hotel right in front Gregory Lake. They only have a few rooms which made the stay very unique. Rooms a huge and beds are spacious. They bring you a hot water bottle before nighttime which was really cozy. The staff was very lovely and forthcoming without being indiscreet or intrusive! They arranged a driver to bring us to Horton Plains at 5 am and provided us with a Picknick to go which was just perfect! They even went beyond and above and served us tea beforehand. They don't do buffets just menu a la carte en demand and they use a lot of vegetables from their own garden, which we found very environmentally friendly. Bathrooms were the best in Sri Lanka, hot water from a solar system, very clean (European standard clean). They have a selection of loose teas you can brew in your room which was very unique. Perfect pick for a stay in Nuwara Eliya!

We had the lucky experience of staying 2 nights in the W15 Lake Gregory. It is a boutique hotel and a perfect escape if you're looking for peace and tranquility. Given the smaller set up compared to most hotels, the hospitality is uncomparable. There is always someone available, very welcoming and with smiles. A standout 10/10 experience, that I would highly recommend to anyone is the cooking class! My partner and I had chef Mano teaching us how to cook local dishes. Outside of the cooking class, when we first arrived the team helped us with our laundry and shared what types of activities we could do in the vacinity. In the two days we've: - Cycled around the lake, it's a perfect 5km loop. It's a lovely jog too. - There's a swimming pool as part of the hotel to cool off. - Rented a speed boat on the lake, there's a fair amount of birds for those that like to take pictures of local wildlife. - Horse Riding, there are loads of horses in the vicinity that you can pet. - Board games, badminton raquets etc.

My recent stay at W15 in Nuwara Eliya was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The attention to detail in every corner of W15 truly stood out—everything from the plush bedding to the serene ambiance made it feel like a home away from home. What elevated our stay even further was the incredible staff, particularly Raj Madhushanka and Shimal. Raj went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, always with a genuine kindness and professionalism that made us feel so welcomed. Shimal’s cheerful demeanor and helpful recommendations for local spots to visit added a special touch to our trip—we couldn’t have asked for better guidance! Their dedication and warmth are a testament to the outstanding service at W15. The food was another highlight—every dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine with a modern twist. Whether it was sipping tea on the terrace or unwinding by the fireplace, every moment at W15 felt like pure bliss. If you’re looking for a perfect getaway in Nuwara Eliya, W15 is an absolute gem. Bedding could be rehauled. The bed wasnt the most comfortable, but I am sure it will be solved soon.

The place is absolutely beautiful very nice view calm environment, beautiful gardens. We ate at the hotel and they really do have an amazing chef locally grown vegetables. My husband had lamb. I had fish. We were just in paradise then came the bad surprise, the rooms are lovely With great pillows. Nice bathroom items, good quality tea, and coffee. We enjoyed all the beautiful furniture, but there is one big but : The bed ! Thank you to the staff that were all really nice.

The bed ! It was really worn out and the mattress was deformed . I just couldn’t sleep and feel sore. I did suggest to the owner that they buy new mattresses ASAP. Then it would be perfect .

Wow, what a nice spot to spend an afternoon and evening. Great for a little getaway. From the moment we arrived we felt like special guests. We had a lovely walk around Lake Gregory (cut through the mariner restaurant in front) and enjoyed the selection of fresh tea leaf pot of tea in the room as well as the lovely toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the pool was very nice to spend the afternoon in. Dinner was nice and the meals were reasonable priced. Breakfast out the front was a great way to start the morning. They organised a transfer to Nano Oya for us for a reasonabke amount. This was our best stay in Sri Lanka but also the most we spent, so this was also expected.

The curry at dinner could have more flavour and they really needed some background music in the dining room, it's was very starkly echoey. We were initially double charged, but they did refund the second amount after about 10 days. The military base and temple behind the property were very noisy in the morning so don't expect a sleep in. I had to hang a sarong over the door to try and block the light, they need a blind.

A luxurious little hotel, right on the shores of the lake. We had two rooms overlooking the lake and had a little shared terrace in front (rear rooms may be different). Gorgeous, comfy beds, and the best bathrooms on our trip! We had a fabulous breakfast every day. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The location was perfect - away from the bustle of the town, but within walking distance of the sites and some relaxed restaurants. Lovely hikes in the hills, and nearby the many tea plantations, and the racecourse.

The rooms are not very soundproof.

Absolutely one of the most heavenly places I stayed in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect, and you can walk around the lake and also get your meals served on the gardens overlooking it. The staff were wonderful, and the food was amazing! Wish I had stayed longer.

Nothing I didn’t like! Only comment would be a fan in the bathroom would be good. As someone who likes a hot shower it gets very steamy and the only way to get air in is to open the window but that means people can see in!

Beautiful property, the garden is stunning (& gardener is really lovely). Sri Lankan breakfast was a favourite, as was the coffee. Welcome drink the best we've had. Turndown was very nice, with a little hot water being placed in the bed, it's much cooler being in the mountains. On us admiring the real wood fire our butler set up a table and chairs directly in front to have our pre dinner drinks which was very nice.

The bedrooms doors are largely fogged/obscured glass, very pretty but somewhat lack privacy and allow alot of light in forcing later nights until lights in the corridor are turned off and very early mornings. We were in the back of the property which unfortunately has a property at the camp with a very loud call to prayer just before 5am (when we were there). This lasts at least 45minutes and we couldn't sleep through it There was then alot of general kitchen/staff noise from 6am. Despite the very comfy beds, we left the property feeling very tired. Final note is most property's include taxes and charges. Unfortunately this didn't and wasn't particularly clear in the booking, adding about an unexpected extra 30% to our bill

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff were so accommodating and friendly from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean, had all amenities and was beautifully designed. The front garden to which we had access from our rooms was a lovely place to relax in the evening. We had our evening meal in the hotel because we thought it would be extra special because of how luxury the place was when we arrived and we were right. The food was superb. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful as well. Due to the area having a cooler climate to other parts of the island they even provided us with a hot water bottle before bed. The room also had a superb tea selection. I will most definitely be recommending this accommodation to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
