The room was great, comfortable and well provided. I did not manage to get around to breakfast, but dinner was always perfect. The guest services (room service, laundry etc.) are also faultless. As for the location, even for myself (having to walk with a stick and stopping frequently) it was perfect for my needs. Easy access to the Sandton Mall, shops and banks, plus the bonus of similarly easy access to Mandela Square and the various restaurant choices there. I will be back next year........

Everything is well thought out—from the comfort of the bed to the quality of the bathroom fittings. One of the standout experiences was breakfast. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were unmatched. The waiters and waitresses were exceptionally well-trained, attentive without being intrusive, and consistently professional. Their uniforms and appearance spoke volumes about the hotel's investment in staff and brand presentation. From the front desk to the restaurant, the staff’s smart, stylish attire and warm smiles reflected a team that takes pride in excellence. The complimentary shuttle service to the Gautrain station was a great added bonus. The drivers were punctual, courteous, and incredibly professional, making transfers stress-free and enjoyable. We were swiftly collected from the airport by the hotels transport, which made for.an excellent transition when arriving on a later flight. The staff in the sun side of the hotel were excellent and super accommodating. They made our family feel welcome and as though nothing was too much effort. We had travelled for medical treatment, so not having anything else to worry about made all the difference. Thank you, we will be back again very soon. We also loved the connected rooms!

There didn't seem to be a power outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer or the like. Perhaps this is for safety, so not a turn off, just something we aren't used to.

Overall we had a really nice stay. The plus points were the quiet rooms with comfy beds and nice breakfast included. Some of the staff were super friendly including the concierge (lady) and the breakfast staff. We also made use of the gym and sat around the pool

Some of the staff like the receptionists were just not that friendly at all and seemed just really cold. We also found that although the hotel professes to be 5* there was a lot of little annoyances like our bathroom light flickering non stop and the hairdryer not working. There isn’t much to do in the area either unless you like luxury shops with nobody in them!

Lastly, the overall aesthetics of the property were just perfect. The interiors were elegant yet inviting, and there were thoughtful touches everywhere, creating a sense of warmth and sophistication. In summary, this stay combined exceptional food, pristine cleanliness, a prime location near Sandton, and delightful aesthetics. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

However, one issue did impact my stay: the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it was consistently unreliable, frequently dropping out. As someone who needed to work remotely, this posed significant challenges, and I ended up relying on tethering from my mobile phone, which incurred an additional cost. For a property of this caliber, a stable and fast internet connection should be a given, especially for business travelers.

Breakfast : Superb amount of choice of cold buffet and hot dishes. Very nicely presented - everything tasted good We ate out on the deck which is a nice setting and I liked the fire pit and heaters Supper at the San restaurant : liked the choice ,ethos and quality of the food very helpful friendly waitress Room: elegant, super comfortable bed, with everything we needed around us including a UK plug !

The only thing that we can comment on but it was situational as it was a public holiday morning and the breakfast venue was really full and busy and the staff were under pressure to accommodate everyone and see to service but they did their best under the circumstances

We liked everything about this hotel. The room was large, clean and the bed was so comfortable. The shower was large and water pressure was excellent. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. The daily breakfast was excellent with lots of cold and hot options available. There was onsite secure parking at a reasonable cost. The Hotel is connected to Sandton City shopping centre which was great as we had access to lots of restaurants and grocery stores.

Could not fault this hotel.

Very nice location, short drive to the airport and the mall is really just an elevator away. Life saving when travelling with two women. Staff was very helpfull, by mistake I parked at the Towers and my room was booked at Sun, they just walked us through the buildings and helped us to settle at easy. Very clean and comfortable.

Bar, restaurant and deck kind of share the same space, but with different menus which is a bit confusing. You can order from any of the menus, but depending on the space you are they give you just the menu for that particular space. So, look up at Google the menus before reaching the restaurant or bar or deck.

Excellent location, great facilities for both business and leisure. Great architectural design. Helpful doormen, best hospitality touch point we experienced. Great a la carte breakfast options

Only one blight in our experience - a rude waitress in the San Restaurant at breakfast who gave us overtly differential treatment to a Caucasian family and when confronted on why they weren't subject to the same security checks that we were, she made up an obvious lie which she was immediately exposed on but doubled down with another lie. The shift supervisor did damage control and all was otherwise well.

Fantastic Experience. Every staff member we had dealings with from Front Desk, Restaurant , Lounge, Pub, Concierge, Housekeeping, Maintenance,Valet Parking, Doorman, shoe cleaner as well as the supervisors and management gave us excellent and friendly service. They are a credit to the Southern Sun Group. The only issue we had was with the air con in the room that did not swivel and it blew straight at you if you sat in the lounge area of our room. A very minor issue.
