Ideal for me as a solo traveller. Room was clean with good facilities and well looked after by housekeeping staff. Accept comments I’ve seen about room space being on small side which would probably be more of an issue for couples. For me, I’m organised and make best use of space so not an issue at all. Staff were friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my swim in the pool bar area as the weather for me was exceptionally hot for an October visit. A very short walk down West Street took me to the Gautrain station which allowed me to make easy and efficient excursions out to Pretoria and when I left to go to OR Tambo International to rent a car for my trip up to Kruger. I was solo so chose to eat out all of my stay and there were many excellent restaurants, cafés and bars at the very modern and nearby Nelson Mandela Square and shopping mall.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. The view from my room was beautiful and the staff, especially the front desk manager is such a people's person, welcoming and kind. He made our stay comfortable.

I had dinner at the 5th floor restaurant which was amazing and told the staff it was my birthday... usually hotels and restaurants would prepare a small treat/dessert/ even just regular plain ice cream to say happy birthday but there was nothing done. A small gesture like this would make a guest feel special. This is what sets hotels apart from airbnb's and guesthouses, it's having that human interaction throughout your stay as opposed to a self check-in, navigating your stay without seeing any staff until your checkout.

A great breakfast, small but cosy rooms, great view from the restaurant/bar, stuff was very good and they even helped retrieving a lost item of ours, its right beside the Mandela square so actually pretty good for who wants to do some shopping.

Couldn't have access to the pool during the night time, that was the time we where actually at the hotel, and was hard getting the network running in one of the TVs of our rooms, would be cool if we could at least stream from our devices to the TV, there was a conflict between the booking app and another one the hotel uses, so we almost got charged twice.

The interior decoration style. I have been staying here many times, and every-time it feels so welcoming . The staff is amazing , we are as if family The hotel is made special by the special individuals . Reception unfortunately is nit the same The doormen are very helpful . I returned with a broken foot in a moonboot and crutches . I was treated as a VIP guest . they are very caring. awesome people

The only irritable situation is the room keycards that does not work for the period of your stay So often you have to go back to reception to request activation of the card.

Staff were friendly. Location suited me perfectly.

Extremely irritating check-in and payment process. I got a message urging me to register ahead of time and then pay. That was a massive waste of time. The auto registration doesn't work at all. Nor does the auto checkout. It lets you go through the whole process of entering personal information etc and then says to wait for a response and then crashes. The staff were not helpful about that - they probably know that this is an issue but there's nothing they can do about it. It added about 20 mins to my check in and 10 mins to check out. They then tried to make me pay twice, and that wasted more time showing them my bank account - that I had paid then they found it (I think it is a system issue, not staff issue)

Let's start with my arrival. I was at the self check in machines when a wonderful lady (I think she was the front office Manager) called Nirushka came to me to introduce herself and welcome me to the hotel. I have stayed there many times and she had seen my name on the guest list so she ensured that my visit was excellent as usual. This hotel never ceases to impress me with wonderful food and service, a prime location and exceptional value for money. I always seem to be allocated a room on the top floor, with amazing views of Sandton. The decor is breathtaking. everything about this boutique hotel is awesome!

I cannot think of anything which needs to be improved

Reception staff, easy access and provided me with two keys instead of one like other facilities

I was asked to cancel my by Rafiki property/ apartment and Bookingcom will refund me. This has not happened. I wonder why are we ripped off because the property do not respond to your message, bookingcom doesn’t give you a platform to raise this complaints. This is 2nd incident. I think I need to publish this on social media for people to know that when you asked to cancel and you book somewhere else , this is scam. Rafiki and bookingcom took my money and ran

Food spacious rooms are very quiet and the free coffee from the awesome coffee machines in the hallway is a big plus.

One thing that is very very concerning - why are there no phones in the rooms? If one of the guests has a medical emergency how do they contact reception for help?? Such a beautiful hotel almost perfect but no phones in the rooms. Very concerning ... I hope Management will take note of this ....

I recently stayed at Hotel Sky, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, with stunning views that added to the charm. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure all my needs were met. The hotel offers excellent facilities, but the only downside was the poor Wi-Fi connection, which was a bit frustrating. If they improve that, it would be flawless. Otherwise, I highly recommend it for a great stay!

The poor wifi signal in the rooms

The hotel is safe, much nearer to Nelson Mandela Square, and very much affordable . We were in need of bar fridge, Restaurant Staff gave us Ice bucket on Friday and on Saturday for R15

1. The Tv in Room 302 can't turn ON with a Remote Control..., it needs to be turned ON manually. 2. Air conditioner in Room 302 doesn't work and the bed is positioned next to the window, the Room was freezing Cold...
