The hotel is gigantic, there are three swimming pools and they also provide ( breakfast, half board, full board). I book half board ( breakfast and dinner) since I was out during the day doing activities. The Italian chef is very friendly and makes the best fresh pasta. The location is right by the beach. Royal beach in Nungwi is perfect for swimming. It’s the best beach I’ve seen in Zanzibar and I’ve been to many beaches during my stay there. I would definitely stay there again.

The rooms need massive improvement. It is very old and dim. Rooms need to be upgraded.

The hotel is generally very nice. I had dinner only once (buffet) and it was great, with lots of options.

Breakfast was a bit poor. Not so many options. Beach boys are way too annoying. They should be limited to a specific area only as they keep chasing you during your stay, which affects your intention to relax.

My Blue is the perfect place for relax. The infinity pool over the sea is paradisiac, the restaurant has a wonderful view on the beach (actually it is on the beach), the staff is so kind, the food is good. I read many reviews saying that the breakfast doesn't offer varierty, but this isn't true, there are so many different foods.

Everything is very slow, but this is aligned with Zanzibar mantra "pole-pole". Usually people come here to relax, so it's ok, but there are situations, for example of you have excursions, when you can't wait 1/2 h (after reminders) just for a plate of fruits and some water. Also, we chosed the mini suite, paying extra money, but unless you're beach front, it doesn't make a huge difference with the normal room. Also, the room was completely dark :/

The hotel is located in the most beautiful area of Zanibar, the beach was beautiful and non-tidal. The journey from Zanzibar town takes a bit over 1 hour and only the last 3 kilometers are bumpy and non-bitumen. The hotel is beautiful and has African feel to it. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is plenty of staff working at the hotel and they are all very friendly and helpful. In the evenings, there is enterntainment: African dances, acrobatics, etc (except for Sundays). The hotel has two swimming pools and a private beach with many umbrellas (no need to wake up early and book it). There are plenty of vegetarian options served.

The Internet is very good at the beach, but patchy in the rooms. The food was fine, considering how many guests the place has and that the food was served from chafing dishes but I would like it more if it is more local. It served mostly Europaen food with only a few African options which were much tastier. Also, be careful with water and juices as they have addition of ice and we had stomach issues for some time. Always request bottled water. If you want to go to the ocean, you need to cross the public beach and there are many locals there trying to sell things. They are very friendly though and the hotel security is watching in case you need anything. But is gets a bit tiring after some time.

Amazing sea and beach, great that we could check out at twelve and still use the beach facilities in the afternoon. Location is great, less crowded than kendwa and less hustle from the Masai and beach boys. Prices are faire. The resort is pretty and well kept, especially the gardens, not too big nor crowded. Room was spacious and had a nice balcony.

A four star resort that doesn’t even leave two bottles of water in the room?! And, there is no decent real coffee at breakfast, just mono doses of instant coffee! Apart from the environmental concerns that such behaviour raises, it’s such a poor offer! Even guesthouses would have better options!

Territory is very beautiful during day and very nicely lighted at night. Beach - awesome, clean sand, no sea urchins to step in. Very small tides, can swim at any time (unlike in other places on zanzi). The hotel is located in a relatively crowded area with many hotels and it is easy to walk far along the beach to see and visit other places (restaurants, shops). After such walking we felt like we chose the best hotel for us in the area! The hotel offers evening cultural programm (dinner at beach and dance/music show) twice a week - very nice! Food was good as well.

We felt limited selection of drinks at bar. Locals around the beach may be someties annoying with their offers.

- instant coffee - loud entertainment at night is audible and a little disturbing if you just want to relax on your terrace although it finishes quite early so not a huge deal breaker Really nothing else to complain about. It was a lovely stay

This property is about 750m from Numgwi’s restaurants. Even during high tide it is easily accessible via a path connecting the different hotels along the beach. The hotel offers a relaxing sandy beach area with sun beds and umbrellas which is secured from people walking past. There is a diving shop on the premises and also a variety of watersport that can be booked. Perfect sunsets

My check-in during the night was not smooth. I didn't get any information about the hotel at the time. The sunset tour organised at the hotel was horrible, crowded, and not fun at all.

The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, with pancakes, waffles, and omelets freshly prepared right in front of you. The rooms were kept spotless — extremely tidy and impeccably clean. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews, and I say this as someone with very high standards when it comes to cleanliness. From check-in onwards, everything was clearly explained. The resort provides excellent options for tours, including personalized ones, and the spa was a wonderful experience. Like in most resorts, if you want the best sunbeds in prime spots on the beach, you need to get there early. While there are plenty of sunbeds available overall, the most desirable spots do go quickly. The staff was truly amazing — warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They made our stay feel special, and I’m very grateful to all of them for that. The check-out process was also easy and transparent, with all charges (dinners, drinks, coffees, etc.) clearly summarized. Overall, we had a great stay. Highly recommended!
