The hotel is gorgeous, all the walkways are surrounded by beautiful trees. It is a safe place, with good security. Trust me, you will appreciate their support with all The Beach Boys. Z hotel has the reputation of being one of the most beautiful hotels in Nungwi, therefore it attracts a lot of them. Menu, full of varieties. Could easily spend a week there and keep discovering new dishes. The room was beautiful, spacious and with a big closet (much needed!) The housekeeping team comes twice a day: once in the morning and they come back during dinner time to set the room. The outdoor is just outstanding. View on the beach with a breathtaking sunset. The pool is also great, perfect temperature and amazing view. 3 restaurants at 3 different levels… You can easily keep yourself busy there with yoga classes, gym and a reading room. Hakuna matata The service is so so slow… there must be an issue in the organization: a lot of miscommunication. If you’re starving, please anticipate and order one hour before :) There seems to be only 3 waiters at any time of the day. No drinks on the beach / pool before 11 am… even WATER! For the price we pay, I think the service should be faster. Luggages : when we checked in, we got a nice tour of the hotel. We were expecting for the luggages to be delivered in the meantime in the room, as told, We had to wait for 45 extra minutes. We are not blaming at all the staff, as they are receiving specific instructions. The management should review the team’s deployment over the many wonderful services.

Food, view, facilities.

This is probably being pedantic, but the place would look so much better: t's a shame the tiles in the infinity pool were a muddy brown colour, which made the water look dirty and not really in keeping with the beautiful aesthetics rest of the hotel and the colours of the sea. But that's just my opinion.

Facilities, staff , cleanliness

There is no private beach as described in the advertising- the beach is public , noisy and many people try to persuade you to buy products and activities to an extent sometimes we rather avoids the beach at all. Food was very good - cocktails excellent- but the service was not stable - sometimes we got orders very fast and sometimes they needed reminders .

I loved how friendly and accommodating the staff were. The views are spectacular and the hotel was very clean.

“Beach boys” hounding you on the beach area right behind the hotel made it hard to fully enjoy it. Also, the flies at the restaurant are quite unpleasant. I’m not sure the hotel can do much about the last point though.

Beautiful location, beach front. Ambience was chilled and relaxed, nice decor in premises, great comfy bed. View from room was lovely, enjoyed from comfortable balcony. Staff were generally super helpful and friendly, especially the security guards(excellent)room staff and guys attending to food and drink on beach/pool.Well equipped gym with great air con and view. Good location for walking into village.Ate in sexy fish and roof tops, delicious and reasonably priced in both.”, recommend the crab starter on cashew crumb-devine! Wi Fi was best I’d come across on Zanzibar.

Couple of staff on reception were pushy on tip leaving, to point of being rude.

The hotel vibe was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The infinity pool was great and the lounges were comfortable. The breakfast at Sexy Fish had a broad selection of delicious food, whilst overlooking the crystal blue ocean. Great location. The beach was lovely.

There were many people wanting to sell you wares on the beach and even people begging which was not ideal. Also, there were a number of food and beverage selctions that were not available on the Cinnamon Menu which was a little disappointing and the service for drinks whilst watching the sunset was slow.

This hotel is just out of this world - excellent. There was not a single thing I did not like. The room was exceptionally nice, comfortable, decent size, with 2 times a day cleaning service. I loved the pool, accessibility to the beach (max 100m), the wide variety of food in the restaurant, the drinks, the service, the views from the room and from the restaurant/s, the hotels vibes, the garden around and lovely staff & hospitality. I was looking for a nice & safe place to stay while travelling solo, and this place just simply exceeded all my expectations. Surely will come back!

There was nothing I did not like. Maybe just a recommendation for the future, if an all inclusive package can be included into the offers would be nice - not sure if the hotel is already providing, I wasn't able to find that option on bookings.

It was a beautiful hotel and the view was amazing. I don’t think there was any hotel which had a better view. From the pool you look out over the beach and sea, which you can also see from the two restaurants and roof bar. We ate in both cinnamon and sexy fish and enjoyed both meals. At sexy fish we even got to eat on the beach, when we requested this we expected an extra cost but there wasn’t one! We also enjoyed drinks at the bar, the pina colada was very tasty! It’s also worth mentioning that breakfast is nice too as you order hot food to your table but can also pick some continental food from a buffet too. It was really yummy. I also had a really nice hot stone massage too. We stayed in October and the hotel was not at full capacity, so lots of space at the pool and to get last minute bookings for the restaurant and massage.

The staff very slow, the beach is not private full of people, no privacy, few sun chairs not enough for everyone, no wind On the beach and AC not working properly.

Beautiful, modern hotel along a very lively beach. I liked that the hotel was connected to other properties along a path so you could have access to stores and other restaurants. The Z hotel staff was very nice and accommodating with the exception of one person that I reference below. The director of activities named Saleh gifted me a bottle of champagne for my birthday which was a very nice gesture.

I had a poor interaction with a staff member there and the facility didn’t seem to know how to handle it. There was a manager of the restaurant ‘Sexy Fish’ named Ajit who I found to be racially insensitive towards me and that unfortunately put a damper on my stay.
