We were met with a lovely warm welcome from the hosts and this friendliness was extended throughout our stay. The house was lovely and warm (particularly welcome on such a cold night) and very comfortable. The little "extras" in the room and the public were very much appreciated. We ill definitely return to explore the area more fully and would love to be able to stay at Ardwyn House again. Although they do not offer evening meals it was only a short walk to the local restaurants. The breakfast that was provided was extremely nice.

The location was excellent, very peaceful and private.Tbe room was well appointed with some.lovely decrative touches in keeping with the houses period.The bathroom and shower were excellent. Downstairs the public rooms were very comfortable.Roger and Katie and their family are excellent hosts giving us a warm welcome which made us feel at home straight away. .A lovely stay with the added charm of an eccentric pet duck,escape artist chickens and other pets added to.the ambience. ere

We pre- ordered pancakes for breakfast..they were perfect 👌. Breakfast choice was very good. The home made lemon drizzle cake was unbelievably light and delicious on the evening of our arrival. Room was perfect, bed so comfortable and the bath was deep and luxury after a day of driving. Good WiFi, lovely breakfast room and a library with comfy chairs, snooker table, honesty bar and loads of books and some games too AND perfect hosts!

Nothing not to like!

We received a very warm welcome from Katie and Roger and were soon offered tea and cake which was just what we needed after a rather rainy journey, Ardwyn House is full of character and beautifully decorated in the art deco style. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a magnificent bathroom. After a good (and peaceful ) night's sleep we had an excellent cooked breakfast and had a chat with our hosts about how they had come to buy the house and the work they had done on it - clearly a labour of love.

This is a wonderful place to stay - the kind of country house we particularly like and consequently there was nothing about it that we didn't like.

The old building and garden was magnificent. Room were great, felt like returning to a magical past. Hosts were great, had lovely chats. On arrival lovely lemon cake and coffee yummy treat. Sleep was good on a comfy bed. Breakfast was was amazing, set us up for the day. 100% return back here, location was brilliant. Good local pubs food a walks and a good village shop. Little pod in garden is a gem to sit and watch the country side

Nothing met all our needs plus more

We were welcomed by our hosts, Roger and Katie, with delicious home-made cake and cups of tea. Our room and bed were comfortable and clean, with an excellent en suite shower. The house is full of character with an interesting history and the location is peaceful, with lovely views out towards the hills. The atmosphere was very relaxing and breakfast was very good indeed. Good quality in every way.

Excellent, friendly and really comfortable. If you're thinking about it.. just book it, I'm sure you won't regret it. Roger and co were friendly, helpful to the point of posting back a wash bag left behind and offering a lift locally when my train was cancelled. Superb service.

Absolutely nothing. My only regret was that I didn't get to sample the breakfast as I had to rush off due to a cancelled train. Will be back to try it.

Situated in a great little town, with good facilities e.g. pubs, pub grub, resturant etc. Locals were very welcoming. Ideal base for exploring Powys. The b&b is a lovely house situated 5 min walk from the centre of town. The photos are very truthful, and should the weather not be very pleasant, then there is plenty to relax with at the house. The hosts are lovely people, and very attentive, ( should you require that). Nothing is too much trouble. Very professional, yet maintaining a relaxed stay. Very good breakfasts were had. Most enjoyable stay. Well done.

beautiful property in a lovely location. Roger, the owner, looked after us really well, giving us delicious cake and tea all day as we sat and read next tot the fire. Our room was spotless and beautifully furnished. The bathroom had an incredible roll top bath which we loved! Breakfast was exceptionL too highly recommend Ardwyn, it os a very special place

What a gem! This B & B was excellent. Great location with easy walk into the town. The hosts were amazing, cake on arrival, friendly but not intrusive. Good parking space. Comfortable bedroom ( and bed) with large bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide time window for it so we were not rushed.

Could not fault with this place, everything was spot on!
