Comfy bed, great shower and little toiletries and complimentary biscuits and hot chocolate. Lady on reception in the morning was lovely.

There were a few bugs in the room and also some stains on walls where I imagine other bugs had been squashed etc. Button missing on the toilet button and also the shower screen didn't stop the water going everywhere, the room got quite wet. A brighter light by the mirror would have been better than a warm light. Wasn't quite sure what to do for breakfast we were left stood around before someone came to tell us to help ourselves and no clear instructions about how to check out again left stood for a little bit. None of this affected our stay to the point where we wouldn't come back, we would recommend this hotel and come back again.

The service was exceptional. We visited relatives and returned late on a Sunday evening. Raunds is a small village location and restaurants /hotel kitchen had all closed. We're diabetic and needed to eat. The night reception ordered a takaway on her mobile for us baught it to our room with a clollegue on trays with hot tea. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully seroundings lovely bathroom and such comfy beds tasteful decor more than satisfactory breakfast we will defiately return. 💕

There wasn't a thing I didn't like

Very comfortable bed. Maybe the room could have had slightly better ventilation, but not a problem. Very easy check-in and nice and quiet. Wifi worked well, no problem with a work video call. Cooked breakfast excellent.

Only one gripe (as someone just in the diabetic range) - at breakfast all cereals were packs with added sugar, and the yogurts were 25% sugar, with no plain or low fat option available.

The bed was very comfy. Staff were very helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was superb. Facilities were good with plenty of tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Toiletries were provided. The room was lovely and warm.

There was an awful smell in the bathroom. Drains were clearly an issue and the smell hit you when you walked in the room. the bathroom door had to be shut and a window left open.

Shower flooded over the entrance to the en suite so my feet got wet when I went back in. Some chairs in the restaurant were a bit stained and needed cleaning. Room a bit pink (decor).

lovely spacious and clean room , comfortable bed , lovely gardens. All staff were a credit to the hotel welcoming and efficient. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious , we just couldn’t fault our two night break. the sunshine also helped us enjoy the lovely outdoor bar area.

Only 2 things Couldn't turn radiator off so got pretty hot Double bed kept pulling apart (2 singles pushed together) so that was a pain.

We have used this hotel several times this year. It is the perfect base whilst visiting my father who lives in the village. The rooms were exceptional this time. Not sure if they have been recently renovated. Friends and family joined us for Sunday lunch and we sat in the main house lounge area afterwards which was nice for us all to chat and relax after a delicious lunch. Breakfast is amazing an sets us up for the day. Everywhere is beautiful and clean, gardens are kept lovely. All in all if you like home comforts with a bit more this is the place to stay
