The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, The bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a reasonable choice - although for a dairy allergic person having butter as the only choice of spread for my toast did mean that I had plain toast with my very nice sausage, tomato and egg, along with the excellent coffee. Non the less I had a very relaxing stay and was made to feel thoroughly welcome throughout. I will most definately stay there again, when I am next working in the area.

There wasn't anything that I actively disliked. Lack of choice of non dairy products for breakfast meant I had to be a little inventive and change my breakfasting habits ( but change can be a good thing) and it did not spoil my stay one iota.

The hotel has been updated and the room we had was lovely and very big, a huge bed and tv and well decorated with nice bedding. The lounge and bar have also been decorated and newly furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was plentiful, cooked and continental. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

The outside of the hotel is still needing work done on it, but don’t let that put you off as inside is lovely. Didn’t like having to pay for parking.

the property was beautiful and the room was lovely and a good size, with a full size TV and hot drink facilities, good size bed and comfy. good size bathroom, great shower. the breakfast was lovely with a great choice. and good price for all. on site parking and only £5 for 24hrs which was good. they provided plates and cutlery for us when we brought in a takeaway. The staff were great, very accommodating for us arriving so late and just very welcoming in general.

the only down side I would say was the breakfast and tea were not as hot as we would have liked but tasted lovely and the yogurts ans water bottles provided were not chilled but when I asked for an ice cold jug of water they provided it no question. Shame they don’t do an evening meal as they have the space and it would make the trip extra special.

Easy access, just off the A14. Good car park, no parking fee anymore. Neat and tidy interior. Exterior looks a bit different as the ivy has been removed. Good clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds. No noise could be heard from adjoining rooms. Some road traffic, but didn't disturb us. Superb breakfast. Not a 5star hotel, but that wasn't what we wanted.

No evening meals, but they recommended the Woolpack Inn, which was a 5min walk away over the bridge across the River Nene. Really good food and value for money.

I loved the freshly cooked breakfast. The hotel restaurant and bar where set lovely and spacious so you had plenty of room. The rooms themselves were also quite spacious with very big tv's

Unfortunately when watching TV some of the channels weren't getting a strong enough signal so you couldn't watch them. Also due to the building layout while the rooms had plenty of light via windows there was no real view at the back of the building.

Had a very friendly and welcoming reception from the manager who also had a great sense of humour. The room was lovely and clean and beds and pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully tiled and seemed to be newly refurbished. There was a nice bar and the manager opened it up specially for us after a latish night party. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful. We were allowed to check out of our room in our own time and in no hurry at no extra cost. I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort and friendliness.

I honestly cannot think of anything. My friend and I were extremely pleased all round.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the pillows were great too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The recently refurbishment is very nice. The proximity to the beautiful surroundings was great.

The extremely hot weather made it uncomfortable in the room, prior to our arrival the dark curtains had been closed to help keep out the heat, so they had done their utmost to help, although a fan was provided the bedroom window wasn't an opener, so it took a while for the fan to pull cool air from the bathroom. If it wasn't for the weather I wouldn't have anything to say here! I would definitely return.

Main entrance/lobby/reception/staircase very impressive upon arrival. Immaculately clean. Friendly staff. Double superior room was larger than expected. Very clean and recently redecorated to high standard. Plenty of sockets around the room (with USB chargers). Huge bed very comfortable! Nice to have coffee/side tables and chairs too. Also huge walk in wardrobe! En-suite was very good size with large deep corner bath with electric shower over. High ceilings and plenty of light. Plenty of towels supplied. Biscuits with tea/coffee was nice touch. Huge smart flat screen TV. Plenty of parking. Overall the room puts most premium hotels to shame and I would definitely stay again!!

Rooms on front of building suffer from the road noise and, as there is no air con, opening windows is unavoidable if you don't want to cook, so the road noise is a pain as it is a busy road. Even with the old sash windows closed it's loud enough to be distracting. A room at the rear would be better I imagine. Not very fair they charge £5 for parking as this should be free to guests.

Appearances can be deceptive - when I arrived the exterior of the hotel looked tired. However upon entering reception it was like walking into another world, with a polished marble floor and attractive decoration. The young lady on reception was very efficient and helpful, advising me of a small restaurant just across the street. I mentioned the change of appearance from inside to out, and she advised me that the interior had just been refurbished. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, whilst the bathroom was equally so, with the option of either a bath or a power shower. There was a fenced off seating area outside the main entrance, where one could enjoy a drink from the bar on a warm summer's evening.

Not a dislike, but by freshening up the exterior it would be more attractive to any passing possible clientele.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful Room, a good size. En-suite very good. Wish I’d had time to eat there. The food looked and smelt very inviting.

I’d say, don’t judge a book by its cover. Quite disappointed when a drove into the car park. Pleased when I went inside.Great welcome. Comfortable. Felt I’d like to go back when I would have time to enjoy a meal and a drink. Thank you.
