The staff were welcoming and very friendly, especially Farah who was one of the wait staff in the restaurant. We had a garden room with a bath as well as a shower. I can imagine it would have been lovely in the summer. The bed was comfy and the room was a good size. Good breakfast and nice restaurant, but limited menu.
The coffee was dreadful. Both the coffee that was available in the bedroom and also in the restaurant. Nothing spoils a nice dinner than awful coffee from a machine at the end of the meal. We did speak to the staff about it and they agreed. It a small thing, but when you are staying for a few days it was a shame, but really the only thing we could complain about.

I stayed for a friend’s wedding in which I was the MOH so stayed the night before & night of the wedding. The staff were AMAZING!!! From front of house, bar staff, the manager & cleaning team- nothing was too much to ask & they were so friendly at all times- even when our bridal party mixed up all of our room keys more than once & had to get them reset. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean & the beds were so comfy!! Black out curtains made for the perfect post wedding lie in before a wonderful breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing- it was all wonderful!

The warmth and helpfulness of all the the staff from our welcome and throughout our 5 night stay. In particular I would like to mention Kareema, Stefan and Maddie who all went out of their way to be of assistance. The food was spectacular on both nights we ate in the hotel. We chose not to breakfast as we wanted to checkout the options where we were travelling to each day. However we were really impressed with the welcome pack of various juices in our fridge and the selection of pods for our espresso machine each blend of coffee accompanied with a description of its origins and characteristics. I would certainly recommend that you do as we did and get a fresh jug of milk to keep in the fridge, The coffee experience was much better as a result. Can't wait for a return trip. By the way everyone in our wedding party just raved about how good their stay was.
Everything was first class including the most relaxing lounge anyone could have expected.

My favourite hotel in Surrey! I had a day or 2 leave from work, so treated myself to here. I could not ask for more - swam in the outdoor lido, sipped on an elderflower beverage on the beautiful lawned garden, which has a backdrop setting to the beautiful Surrey (AONB), took a hike to the Boxhill viewing point and enjoyed the amazing landscape.. The hotel also makes the best Parmesan and Truffle chips - absolutely delicious!!!
None. The hotel staff were incredibly busy with a wedding and a few seminars. But if there was a lag, they went out of there way to the fulfil the request. Thank you 😊

Staff at reception were very accommodating… answered all of our many questions very willingly and politely. We were upgraded to a ‘privilege’ room, which had an extremely useful minibar, and was very comfortable.
There were lots of families with children, but apart from the pool, there didn’t seem much for them to do in the hotel. A games room, or even an outside table tennis table would be a nice addition. Also, there are apparently no family rooms… one child can be accommodated in a double room, but a family of four would apparently require two double rooms. Food was a little expensive (£14 for breakfast) and the little we did order from the bar took an age to be served.

The location was excellent - just off the A24, but there was no road noise in the room. I was pleased to find that the parking was free for hotel guests. Our room was very comfortable, and we particularly liked the little 'conservatory' with seats in it which opened on to the garden. We absolutely loved the outdoor swimming pool - large, the perfect temperature, changing and shower facilities beside the pool, and Box Hill behind it. The bar area was very comfortable and we had a good burger and chips and tried the local beer. It's an easy walk from the hotel to the stepping stones over the river, and there are lots of other walking routes from here. We would stay here again.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. A bit more lighting might have been helpful after dark while crossing the garden to our room.

The staff could not do enough for us. They were friendly, approachable, and attentive to the details of our needs. They went out of their way to see that our needs were met. We were grateful to be able to order a late meal, giving us time to relax and freshen up before eating, as we had had a busy day at Hampton Court Palace Flower Festival. They even took care of our dog, providing water and treats. The check out time of noon meant that we were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine and a dip in the pool before leaving.
When I went to have a bath, I ran it first before using the loo and preparing my things. But when I went to get in it, most of the lovely hot water had drained away! I had to run some more- which went against the grain- and then had to keep my foot on the plug to stop it from draining away again. I bathed quickly and then used the shower, which was OK, but not power, which I would have expected for the price. Room 117. My husband then said to me, 'I'm looking forward to a nice long soak in the bath.' It was then that I had to tell him what had happened to me. Not so relaxing.

Location is great for walks around Boxhill if that's what you need. Hotel was lovely. Room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was buffet so you can eat as much as you like! It was brilliant and lots of choice. Near to a train station as well and a local cafe. It is a trek up to the top of Boxhill but so worth it. Staff were great. No issues at all.
Parking- plenty of space but we paid 10.00 for an overnight stay. Room - we had doors that open onto the garden. However, they were a little old and needed an overhaul (peeling paint etc). Shame as the room was lovely and looked newly refurnished.

A warm welcome from the receptionist. Lovely attentive staff Balcony with the room. Nice size bedroom, with fridge, iron/board, range of teas, coffees, buscuits, comfy bed. Beautiful garden and outside space. Friendly bar staff. The outdoor pool Looked fantastic Great location for Box Hill and for the golf course Couldn’t stay for breakfast or dinner, but menus looked fab
The room was a little bit musty - maybe needs airing before guests arrive. We were disappointed we couldn’t access the pool until July 1 (bad weather anyway, but I would have swam in the rain)

Food was good and there was plenty of it. Room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of room to park.
Problems with WiFi and TV. Remote was missing but quickly replaced. Last morning TV lost connection at ,9am. Then my tablet would not connect with message "connection not secure" Steps were a bit inconvenient but receptionist did her best when she saw I was using a stick and changed my room. There is a lift for wheelchair access to the first floor.
