The grounds were really gorgeous to walk around and there were loads of great facilities and lovely decor eg. bar was gorgeous, the pool, the morning room to sit in the sun (even had board games). The bedroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. Also a pub within walking distance.
The room was a little warm and airless without the window open sometimes, but the room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless.

The atmosphere was lovely – the garden, rooms, and breakfast were all very enjoyable. However, we experienced an unfortunate issue on our last day. There seemed to be a technical problem, and we received no information about it. I went down to the pool at 9:30 AM and planned to return to my room 45 minutes later to take a shower before checking out at 11. Unfortunately, the water was not running, and it did not come back until after checkout time. As a result, I had to leave the hotel without being able to shower. The reception area was very busy, and no one informed me of the reason for the water outage or offered an apology. This was disappointing, but aside from this incident, we were happy with our overall experience.
Breakfast was good, they need to increase the variety of cheese. The oil in fried eggs could be more delicious.(use butter)

I picked this hotel because of the facilities and surrounding grounds, which were perfect for walking with laid out woodland trails and formal gardens. The reception staff were warm and friendly and check-in and out, was quick and efficient. The room was inviting and comfortable, and I enjoyed being able to use the gym.
The only issue was the dinner staff who were not very well trained it seemed. We waited a good 5 minutes to be seated with staff passing us by - one stood right in front of us - without even acknowledging us. It was pretty shocking, but he morning staff made up for it. Totally different experience - the staff were friendly and professional.

We had an amazing time at Wotton House! The house and its grounds are beautiful and historic and there are some great country walks in the surrounding area (the “Wotton Estate”)! The staff are so exceptionally lovely and helpful - genuinely the kindest staff we have ever encountered in a hotel. Oh, and the hotel lends its guests wellies which we thought was an incredibly thoughtful touch! Special thanks to Kristina who checked us in with such warmth and made a fuss of our special occasion which made us feel so welcome. If you are looking for an easy and delightful trip from London this is the absolute best place to go (1 hour train to London Victoria to Dorking then a 10 minute cab!)

There was a great selection to choose from for breakfast there was something for everyone. The country Estate hotel was spotlessly clean the staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were away he received some chocolates and a voucher for two drinks on the house. I was so excited to stay at wotton House as it was my 9th great grandparents home Sir John Evelyn. Iwas not disappointed with the magnificent grounds especially the Italian garden Sir John Evelyn and his older brothe had built it was amazing. We will be definitely staying here again to bring my mum to see the house and grounds of her 8th great grandparents.
There was nothing I did not like.

Very warm welcome on Christmas Eve, staff outside to help new arrivals, brazier, seasonal music, all excellent. Efficient front desk well staffed. Very good start to our three night over-Christmas stay.
The bar area is a little overlit and not quite as cosy as we'd have liked. The room TV was oddly placed hard to one side. The window frame was rusting a bit and needed 'touch up' painting. Otherwise a very nice room - these are minor niggles. The walk to the room w luggage was a bit protracted and up/down stairs-wise w no lift, but this is an old country house so a small price to pay for everything else, which is stunning - besides, I am sure had we been more in need then the staff would have helped us with our bags.

The breakfast was excellent, my son said its the best 👌 The staff was amazing. Callum who sorted my booking and the restaurant booking was so helpful and save my stress. The receptionist Jessica was so helpful and go beyond her duty to make sure the medicine/Injection of my son will be stored in the fridge and the ice blocks in the freezer. All the staff was so helpful made the stay a lot more enjoyable. My son loved the place. His opinion matters because I stayed here because he was my date night.
We used the swimming pool in the morning and 2 ladies with disapproval look and asked me if children are allowed in the swimming pool. I said we stayed her ,so yes!

Our stay was lovely, I had a birthday message on arrival and treats for me and our dog! the card to our dog was exceptionally sweet. The staff were welcoming and we extremely well looked after, especially since we had our assistance dog with us. They arranged everything for us and him beforehand so we could enjoy all of the amenities as the other guests would be able too - we were even allowed to the pool with him. This is one of the most dog friendly hotels i have been too. the rooms were clean and comfortable and well decorated and the manor itself was beautiful as were the grounds. They also don't let the parties and weddings interfere with the regular guests which was lovely. I am already planning my next stay. 10 out of 10
The continental breakfast was lovely, cooked needs a little work.

We were in a standard double room, which was a decent size, had comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with a shower. I liked that the electric kettle was metal as plastic ones are unhealthy to use. The complimentary tea and biscuits were very nice. The room was stylishly decorated with lovely, framed dry flowers. We also had breakfast at the hotel, which we enjoyed. There were some pastries, typical English breakfast(eggs, mushrooms, sausages, bacon, beans) porridge, frozen fruit etc. The breakfast room was beautiful. The entire hotel is beautiful inside and the hotel gardens are stunning too.
The changing rooms in the spa area need some TLC.

'A British gentleman should always serve himself breakfast' - or something like that. The breakfast buffet is excellent. I absolutely loved it and the staff were great. Dinner restaurant is great for an evening out but for my purposes it was a little OTT. Nevertheless, the food was great.
There was a party/function being held during my stay which meant an outdoor rock concert and dancing up to about 11 pm. Then people wandering about and chatting for another hour. I was tired but the noise meant I couldn't get to sleep. I believe that the hotel hosts many such functions, weddings, business meetings, etc. Consequently, consider the hotel like a town hotel - great if you're involved in the event or if you're a night owl - not so great if you're jet-lagged and want to get some sleep.
