The Carnach House was the best place we stayed in Scotland! Ian, our host, greeted us upon arrival, got us settled and helped us figure out the best place to eat dinner. The accommodations were top notch and quite lovely. Property was beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed it with a view out over the backyard on a beautiful sunny day!

We liked everything! It was such a nice place and met all of our needs. Even my picky sister really loved it!

I don’t have time to list what we liked. Suffice to say it was superb. A glorious property lovingly looked after and presented. We arrived and our room overlooking the rear garden was wonderful. We enquired about some wine glasses and cork screw. All provided and we were then informed we could use the drawing room. It was unbelievable. A beautiful place to spend time conversing and enjoying a good red. Breakfast was a great presentation and tasty, which helps. We were even given birthday cake last night as the owners daughters were celebrating their birthdays. It might be a long way from Cardiff but this really is a place you know you will return too. Just wonderful.

What can we say ... we loved our whole stay! The room and ensuite was exceptional and clean with wonderful views. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful when planning our days out. The breakfasts were phenomenal and kept us full all day! The house was beautiful and the location great for discovering the area. We came to relax and visit the many attractions and locations in the area - mission accomplished! We are already planning our return visit.

Lovely old home, beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed, good sized bedroom. Lovely outlook on to woodland and do some squirrel watching. Also great to be able to walk around the woods. Weather was very chilly so was great to come back to a cosy warm home, especially our bedroom.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

What a beautiful place, so quiet and peaceful. We booked the Deluxe King, and it was amazing. Lovely decorated room with a four-poster bed and the biggest most luxurious bathroom I've ever stayed in. It's the most comfortable bed with top quality's bedding I've ever stayed in .Freshly cooked breakfast every day, different choice of cereals and yoghurts, porridge, and toast . The hosts are both really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Carnach House for staying in this area of Scotland , very good base for all the local attractions .

Gorgeous building and grounds, HUGE lavishly appointed bedroom and bathroom, wonderful breakfast, perfect location. I can't say enough good things about Carnach House! It was beyond our expectations.

There was nothing we disliked. It would have been convenient if the hotel had a more traditional front desk that was staffed for checking in/out, or if there was a restaurant on site serving lunch/dinner. However, those things are very minor and may have detracted from the charm of the hotel if they had been there!

A beautiful old house which has been refurbished to a high standard by the lovely, local to the highlands, hosts. A very warm welcome and the house is a work of art. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. The breakfast was delicious a Full Scottish cooked to perfection, great start to a busy day. There a lots of little touches which make this a unique place to spend some time. The sugar cubes with tiny silver tongs! Candles by the bath! It’s the little things. Thank you Ian and Hilary.

Everything was perfect. The location was amazing, very private and peaceful with lots of wildlife. The rooms were grand and the bed was the comfiest bed I've come across in Scotland. The staff are amazing! Very very helpful and friendly. Made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and gave us lots of information about our trip around Scotland. The breakfast was very tasty! Would recommend and will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area!

Nothing, all was brilliant.

The location was lovely and picturesque. The estate and the room were absolutely cleaned in a classic Scottish style. The host was very helpful and polite and we had great chats. Great gardens and small forest available to walk. The breakfast was excellent too.

Location is kind of far from Inverness city centre (20 minutes by ca) but worth the stay.

The hosts were so lovely and easy to talk to. It was a privilege to be welcomed into their beautiful family home. The room we had was immaculate, cosy and massive! To open the blinds to see busy red squirrels was an added treat. Breakfast was delicious, super hot and the egg was perfect. Thank you very much Ian and Hilary for being so welcoming, we hope to return soon.
