It’s an old, but updated casino. The staff are very friendly. Check-in was easy. Parking was easy. The room was plenty spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had ample counter space and lighting. We were also on the 15th floor, decently up there, and my kids really enjoyed the view from so high up.

For some reason, the floors were sticky. Both solid surfaces and carpeting. It may have been residue from cleaning and the moisture in the air reacting, but it made for a socks and shoes always experience that I would have expected at a less than stellar place.

The facility is a true value if all you want is a place to rest your head. Since gaming is a significant focus of their appeal and income, they can afford to offer a room at an appealing price. The room is large and comfortable with a decent bed and nicely decorated.

I have a complaint regarding the bathroom, specifically the tub. The step over is difficult, there are no grab bars and the tub floor was unusually slick. I'm sorry we did not ask for a room with a walk in shower but, we were tired after a long day on the road. The hotel is nice but not for me

The hotel was in good condition and the people (front desk and bell hops) were very nice. The restaurant staff were very nice as well. The room was in excellent condition, very clean, comfy beds. The fridge and tv worked well. The bathroom was well appointed and very roomy. It was easy to order dinner and go pick it up from the restaurant. The elevators worked well.

As with most casinos, the interior was noisy. There was no breakfast unless we paid for it. The ice machine was quite a distance from the room.

The casino is well kept, clean and the employees are very friendly.

The front desk employees are rude and very demeaning, both at check in and checkout, even the so called manager of the front desk, was not friendly. No one smiled which makes me think they are unhappy working there. When you check out and the employees are standing with their arms crossed, and it seemed as though they didn't want to be bothered, not a good way to start. I met a few other guests who basically said the same thing. I believe the front desk employees need to take some type of customer service class to educate on how to be pleasant and helpful instead of being annoyed and just asking for a credit card.

Location good....breakfast was nice. I also loved the fact that even though we stayed in a smoking room, you could hardly tell. Of course, rooms and floors that are set aside for smokers will obviously have a slight smoke undertones. But I would like to commend the cleaners who work that particular floor, job well done with whatever they do to cut down on the smoke smell. Please keep up the good work, because those who have love ones who smoke often have to be subjected to certain experiences for those that do smoke and if the rooms are not cleaned correctly the smoke residue left from the smokers before can be nasty and overwhelming. So thanks so much for going the extra to cut down on the smoke smell. I was really pleased and impressed.

It's not so much that I didn't like, however, we just notice some of the lamps in the room and key card fixtures for point of entry were slightly rusted and dated, but the stay was still peaceful and tranquil for, I (we) are considering coming again.

The room was very nice and clean and we loved how cold it was!!! The last couple of times we stayed, the room was old and stuffy!!! The only reason we got a nicer room is because the room we booked wasn't ready after waiting 2 hours

We booked our room I wanted a river view for a change and we went to check in a little early and the rooms were still being cleaned of course no problem but we came back an hour later the room was still not ready and the girl that checked this time was very rude!!! We were told to have a seat and the room should be ready in a few minutes so again we waited 30 minutes later we went back to the counter and thank goodness it was a very nice lady but still no room!!! She didn't understand why it wasn't ready yet as well!!! We sat back down for another 30 minutes and finally the nice lady came out and said if it was OK with us she would upgrade the room still no river view but at that point we were ready to go home so we took the room!!!

The staff was friendly the room was clean, very spacious and it was quite and a comfortable mattress. It was a convent location just off I-20. It had a safe large enough for a laptop to fit in. Bathroom was spacious.

I despise the quote "Resort Fee" that the Horseshoe Casino" charges is crazy. First of all it is not a resort. Secondly the items that are listed as being part of the resort fee were not charged separately in the past. Hotels need to stop this stupid no choice add on cost. Also I do not trust the Wifi because it is public so that Is of no value to me. I do not want my devices hacked.

The exterior of the hotel was lovely and well maintained. The entire staff from check in, servers, bartenders, housekeepers and everyone in between were genuinely friendly and helpful. They were all willing to pause and talk to us, get to know us and would always remember us next time. Our room was nicely decorated, quite large, clean and comfortable. The food we had was delicious, especially the ultra thin crust pizza and the ice cream.

Great property very clean and exactly the pictures is where I stayed so I really appreciate this hotel because when we book a room with a Riverview and exactly the furnishing this hotel actually comes through great property great staff

The only thing I could find wrong about this property is they do not have USB chargers for your cell phone you have to use a wall outlet and this is too nice of a property not to offer USB outlets or at least a lamp or anything like that but they did not even upgrade that

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large and very comfortable. We had family staying there too and the room accommodated all 6 of us to meet in one room and not feel crowded. It was clean and well kept. The parking was free. The bathroom in the rooms were great and big and roomy. The staff were so nice and helpful. The Port Restaurant was Excellent.

There is no coffee in the rooms, or in the morning in the lobby. And we had to wait until 7:30 to be able to buy coffee. Lots of walking to just get coffee. There was no microwave in the room. So we ended throwing away good food cause we were traveling and did not want to eat it cold. The expensive steak house was a disappointment. My salmon was dry and not tasty. The wedge salad was good. Overall all six of us spent a lot of money and all but one was disappointed with their food. Eat at the Port and you should be good.
