Absolutely stunning location, beautiful rooms with sea views, great breakfast and very friendly staff (especially Sahan who went above and beyond). A real hidden gem that I would definitely return to! I would also recommend visiting the near by turtle sanctuary.

We absolutely loved the food! The chef is incredible and we had 3 x melas a day at the restaurant there. Each outdoing each other. I also loved the beach. I was worried about strong surf. But the little bay was perfection. I am a strong swimmer and feel comfortable in the surf, but this was super fun, playful and OMG Warm! We had the pool one bedroom with the pool on the beach. What a dream. An absolutely wonderful way to finish our honeymoon. Noting that we planned to and did stay here in the whole time, not leaving (why would you) so 2 x nights was pretty great here.

The place is a secluded beach house with one restaurant. Its quiet and leisurely with access to beach on both sides. There is a curator assigned to each room and they are very responsive and arrange whatever is needed quickly.

The location is a bit off beat inside a village and with nowhere to go without tuk tuk or car. There is a vendor outside on the road and then near the beach who approach when you are trying to swim in the beach which can be annoying. Food on the menu is limited if you are staying longer than 3 days and the meals timings can be a bit restrictive. Service in the restaurant is also a bit slow and food was often cold

Beautiful contemporary hotel with direct sea views from all the rooms and communal spaces. Loved our Bay View room above the pool area. The room was stunning especially liked the outdoor shower. Fabulous to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. Team were helpful and very professional. Special shout out to the incredible Balinese spa therapist whose treatments were a highlight.

Ahu Bay is situated on an outcrop between two beautiful bays. Unfortunately a large hotel is being built directly next to Ahu Bay on the southern side. The construction site was noisy. If I were staying in the villas next to this site I would have been very disappointed. Fortunately when in the main hotel/pool area or in the Bay View rooms above the main hotel you cannot hear the construction noise or see the construction works. Top tip whilst the construction work is going on book a stay in one of these rooms, it is still worth the stay 😊

Ahu Bay was the perfect place to spend the final two nights of our trip around the island. The hotel occupies a beautiful position between two picturesque Sandy coves. The design of the property was stunning and our room was luxurious and comfortable (especially loved the half open air sitting area of our pool villa). The views from the restaurant overlooking the infinity pool and beach beyond are postcard perfect. Staff here do everything possible to make your stay wonderful and the food was delicious! The highlight was a candlelit dinner on the beach to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We would come back again without hesitation!

Pool villa is not private; on a public beach with lots of footfall. We knew this before we booked but would have been disappointed had we not read other reviews advising of the same.

Ahu Bay resort offered a true beachfront location. It was lovely to wake up and enjoy a swim from the villa. The beach is small tucked into a narrow bay with swaying palm trees 🌴and safe to swim. The small modern boutique style hotel offered an excellent restaurant with an interesting food & wine menu. All staff members were friendly and efficient.

Our 2 bedroom villa was spacious with an open air lounge area. We enjoyed our own swimming pool which wasn’t private. There were 2 rooms above us which also shared the cabana. We originally thought when booking the villa would be private. It was still lovely but probably not suited to honeymooners or families as the bedrooms were not connected.

We had an absolutely amazing stay in Ahu Bay. We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

This is paradise on Earth! A human-sized hotel with 13 rooms and numerous services. The staff is very helpful, always very friendly and willing to assist. The rooms are functional and decorated with attention to detail. Amazing views of coconut trees, the pool, and the Indian Ocean. The beach is very well equipped, not crowded, right at the hotel's doorstep, with sun loungers, canopy beds, and staff to monitor and assist guests. The place is very calm and relaxing. The hotel is like a secluded island in an area that doesn't have much interest in itself. The highlight: the restaurant serves excellent food, worthy of a starred restaurant, catering to all tastes at reasonable prices. The breakfast is also excellent, nothing like the bland international food of big hotel chains. The chef was attentive to our needs and tried to fulfill every wish we had. What's more, for my husband's birthday, we were offered a cake and a bottle of wine. We really felt pampered in Ahu Bay. Thanks again to all staff for this memorable holiday!

Our first trip to Sri Lanka was truly unforgettable, thanks in large part to our stay at your hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were awestruck by the breathtaking view that greeted us. The beauty of our surroundings continued to amaze us as we settled into our room, where we found comfort and elegance in equal measure. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the warmth and friendliness of your staff. They went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of throughout our time with you. Leaving your hotel was bittersweet for us – we simply didn't want to say goodbye to the paradise we had found. But rest assured, we will definitely be returning. Thank you for providing us with one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had.

First of all we had really big expectations of this resort, due to some review research. And we have to say, none of our big expectations failed and we really enjoyed every second of our stay. In general the small stylish resort is located inbetween two easily accesible bays, directly at the beach embedded in beautiful surroundings. Although Sri Lanka has no private beaches, you feel very intimate and safe - in addition there is also a beautiful pool . Worth mentioning: The beach guard Nisanthi with his crew left nothing to be desired, starting from daily towel service put to sunbed up to several complimentary cold drinks. Highest service quality guaranteed! The well designed rooms offer much space, dreamlike beds and over all a stunning beach view. Furthermore it gets cleaned up twice a day, first in the morning and during dinner. We even upgraded to halfboard and enjoyed the à la carte breakfast as well as dinner served with highest demands (especially by the waiter Ravindra). The quality and diversity of food and drinks are also very high and fulfill every wish. Alltogether one of the best hotels we ever been, because of the very good service even for people with high expectations - thanks for everything, we feel totally relaxed and happy after the stay at your dreamful place!

There is really noothing we can complain about, because of the wonderful overall satisfaction.
