There are no hair dryers. Not recommended for international business. Some tribe rule over payment systems. Prices are all in USD, albeit in their own currency. ←Avoid if you have a Stripe wallet .

Friendly staff Great food Access to beach and pool

Got the premium ocean view but I didn’t have a good view of the ocean. My view was obstructed by trees and that was disappointing. Tried asking staff if they could place me in another room but due to lack of a availability, this could not be set up. Please see attached photo.

My husband and I stayed here with friends for four nights after we had been travelling around Sri Lanka. We ended up staying at the hotel for pretty much our whole four days there as we were enjoying relaxing and also there were government enforced curfews and things were difficult at that time. The hotel was large but because the staff were super nice so it always felt intimate. I was 5 months pregnant and always felt well looked after and cared for by the staff. Our room and bathroom was large with lovely character and a balcony. The rooms varied in size but all were comfortable. The rooms were well equipped with everything we needed and anything extra we just called reception for and they were very happy to come and sort anything. Our Aircon stopped working at 4am and a maintenance person came up immediately to look at it. Namal did a wonderful job freshening up our room every day, and we were always excited to see what creative bed decorations he'd left for each of us after breakfast. The breakfast was very good. We ate lunch at the pool bar every day and dinner at the restaurant every evening - these both had outside areas so we were able to always be outside. The food was good and a good price, but the menu was a little small to eat there every day! We enjoyed both pools very much. We played table tennis and tennis, but the net took a couple of days to be put up (it was in town being serviced) and there were only two rackets. We used the laundry service which was great and a very good price. We all had massages which were wonderful and the therapists were lovely, but it was expensive. The hotel provided a room for our driver for free and offered his meals for around £1 a meal, so obviously we were able to pay for that.

There were lots of dogs around that followed you to your room - I am afraid of dogs so it made me very nervous when I was walking around on my own. They could have some simple gates at the entrance to the stairs and this would stop the dogs getting to corridors with rooms. Booking.com advertised a few restaurants but only one restaurant and one pool bar were available to us. All inclusive guests were invited to a second restaurant but we were not allowed. Booking.com advertised shows and animators but there were none.

Staff

Location… beach was very pretty but the sea is dangerous for swimming. Red Flag permanently shown, even on days when the sea looked fairly calm.

Breakfast great, staff receptive, all food excellent. Hats off to two staff members Dil, who seemed to be everywhere every day. Every Hotel needs a Dilith fixer, sorter, meeter, greeter immediately likeable, shows genuine concern and solves problems. A great face for the Hotel and it's high standards. Also, a great mover on the dance floor where she encouraged several guests to get up and boogie. They just needed to be told!. She told them. They loved it! The other Dil is Dilishia (prob spelled wrong) who serves drinks at the cocktail bar (amongst other stuff) and does so with thoughtfulness, efficiency and class. Always smiling, always with eyes to the customer for easy contact. Happy to assist. Couldn't fault any staff members, but these two stood out for me.

Weather Lol! Rained most of the week, water came in and shut down mode applied. Shame because beach and pool are lovely. Just not so much in the rainMpx

I guess i loved everything about the hotel. What an amazing location, right on the beach, the lobby couldn't be better with a view of swimming pool and then the ocean. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. Furnitures are excellent. Overall hotel ambience is so good. They conducted some cultural shows for the guest and has some live music. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. It was a memorable stay for us

They were bit pushy for the check-out. May be they had guests waiting, but they started calling us and reminding us from 1145am onwards

Pool was great for the kids. So much space for guests and privacy. Rooms on the new wing were nice and modern with ample space and a good view. Breakfast and dinner buffets were well organized, very tasty and a good spread. The local Sri Lankan food was also very tasty. Staff were very good. Special mention to Kalinga running the bar in the day service by the poolside. Lifeguards deserve a special mention, as very helpful to us and the kids.

A bit of roof maintenance and construction on site but that didn't affect any party of the trip except for certain facilities like the library to be temporarily out of commission.

What a beautiful property with a clean beach. Clean Rooms and great staff. They have two excellent pools. Easy Check in and Check Out. Its the perfect resort to just relax and rejuvinate. Amazing food at the pool

The main Buffet restaruant is not too good. Lunch is over priced and lacks variety. Breakfast is a repeat of same items every day. The location makes it difficult to dine outside the restaurant.

The room was just beauuuuuuuuutifullllllllllll! the design and finish is so amazing. Such a nice color palette for the room we absolutely loved it. The staff is soooooooo warm and welcoming. The initial welcome felt like we were royalty. They handed us some local sweets followed by wet towels and welcome drinks. The staff engaged with us with a lot of warmth. The value for money is excellent. The breakfast lay out is beautiful with good taste and a huge variety. The resort design is amazing with a lot of local and Dutch design elements. The pools were warm and felt just right. Overall we really really enjoyed our stay there.
