From the reception, watering staff, cleaners, and security- everybody gives the same high quality service. This time, we were joined by 2 friends and we booked a 2 bedroom apartment and received a free upgrade to a 3 bedroom apartment. Such a stunning unit - 104. We felt like millionaires!

Excellent apartment for 4 people, great sea views, excellent service and delicious breakfast. It was a great value for the money. We felt pampered here.

Nothing to dislike

They have really invested in the home away from home feel. As it really felt as coming home and plunging on the couch every evening. Staff is friendly and responsive and went out of their way to make things happen. We wanted to move up one floor to have a better sea view, and although they were fully booked they managed to swap us after a few days. The rooms are smaller than they appear, but because you have enough balcony space and they are furnished really efficiently, that wasn't a real problem. Location is 5-7 minutes walking from restaurants on the main road. The pool area is small, but we spend most time roaming the city, so no need for pooltime. Neighbourhood was nice, went out for a run every morning.

They ran out of strawberries at breakfast one day. Really that was the only thing 🤣 hot water issue in our room was quickly resolved

on arrival they take a photocopy of your full payment card all details (including name, card nunber and security code etc) which I’m not sure why and I wasn’t overly comfortable with but had no choice

Where to start? Everything!! This place is incredible. We had a two bedroom apartment for 5 nights and then a one bedroom for 1 night (because we had a flight cancellation). Both perfect. -the location is perfect - super safe (we were 2 girls) - breakfast is big with variety and great staff - the pool is not big but really nice to lounge around - the view from the top balconies is beautiful - the apartment are big and with everything you could need. - this place is really luxurious On a side note: BIG THANK YOU to both Ruby and Thandiswa. We couldn't make our flight so we ended up coming back. They were the sweetest. We felt a little bit lost and it felt like coming back to your aunties. They took our suitcases, brought us breakfast (and even remembered what we liked) even if it was too late and officially we had checked out. They took us to the pool and prepared our new room for an extra night for us. Honestly it couldn't have been better. Such incredible service. We felt safe and taken care of! That we had to leave?

What a gem! The location is so close to the waterfront, with breathtaking views across the foreshore. The apartment was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable—everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The front desk staff and housekeeping were incredibly friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable.

For such a large and luxurious accommodation, we expected to have both a dishwasher and a tumble dryer. Additionally, there was no vegan breakfast selection or decaff coffee available, which was disappointing.

Breakfast was lovely but the options were the same everyday guess there is need for variety. The place is so beautiful and peaceful liked that about the place and WiFi spot on

The other room with the twin beds was so cold with no air on and this is where my kids had to sleep. It is the one thing which stopped them from scoring a 100% review from me. No extra blankets provided. On check in the staff carried our bags which was lovely, on checkout we had to struggle with our bags worse holding the gate so that it doesn’t lock up while the staff looked on.

The apartment was spacious, very clean, with stylish decor and furniture. Good sized balcony overlooking the pool area filled with comfortable beds and excellent mattresses. The staff were amazing ! A special thanks to Ruby who was so kind, funny and helpful, also to Temba who served us at the bar each evening. Secure garage parking was a bonus. We could see the DHL Stadium from the balcony and walked there one evening to watch a rugby match. Would recommend The Romney in a heartbeat and hope to return there next year, thank you to all who made our stay very memorable.

The lodge was very nice and the room had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen setup was great and the bathroom was functional. The breakfast (ground floor) had a lot of choice of nice food including cooked food, cereal, pastries, fruit, juices, vegetables and tea/coffee. The lodge is located about 10 minute walk from shops and the beach.

Nothing really (as it is not possible to move the lodge to a location closer to shops and other attractions).

The property is well secured. The people at the reception have to buzz you in every time you go out. The apartment is spacious and good for a family or group of friends. The terraces are wonderful but we could not use them because of the cold weather.

Breakfast was not included in the room rate and we had to pay R180 each when we wanted to eat from the restaurant. The airport shuttle recommended by them was expensive in comparison to Uber
