2nd stay at this lovely property. It has amazing views and great location in Knysna. A new addition that I appreciated was the hotel shuttle bus which is really comfortable and convenient for nights out to restaurants etc

The hotel needs some maintenance work, there is some wear and tear, which is understandable given its popularity

Absolutely gorgeous location and views, set on a stunning, safe and private island with a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. The room itself was also stunning - relaxing beach vibe and very stylish at the same time. Using the on-site bicycles and travelling around the island was also a big highlight of our trip as there is a lot to see and do on the island, as well as using the on-site kayaks to paddle around the lagoon. It's also very close to some of the amazing restaurants at the lagoon mouth (Pizza E Vino was brilliant).

There were one or two minor maintenance issues like our bathroom tap that sprayed water from the connection which messed on the sink/would mess on one's shirt. The stackable windows seemed to be leaking in the corner whenever it rained and the carpet seemed to be rotting because of it. A bit more maintenance will go a long way. The staff member handling the kayaks was also extremely rough with the kayaks, which might be why our kayak had a few holes in which made it waterlogged/let water into the internals which meant it didn't paddle as well/became difficult to carry after finishing etc.

I loved the breath taking views. I loved the peacefulness and the attention to detail-even the music in the back ground was perfect. The chocolates on the bed, the robes, the tea etc and the soaps in the bathroom-so much thought put into it l. There was even a piece of lavender on the hand clothes in the bathroom. It was very clean. The staff where so so helpful and friendly. The beds where comfortable. The breakfasts where delicious. The coffee was so good! It’s so tranquil and stunning. The gardens are so well kept and so relaxing to sit outside. You can ride bikes and kayak. I just loved everything!!!

The hotel is so cozy and beautiful! Ours rooms were incredible: new, spacious and nice decorated! The staff was kind, friendly and helpful! They even washed our car when we asked for a broom to sweep the car’s floor (it was full of sand). Breakfast is amazing and full of delicious options. The surrounding is fantastic, the hotel is situated in an island and we could enjoy some bike rides and the kids went kayaking (Amanzi lends the bikes and kayaks for free). It was MAGICAL! I keep imagining how wonderful it must be on summer time, since we had a blast even on winter!

The Amanzi Boutique Hotel is superbly located on leisure island looking across the lagoon toward Knysna Heads. Our room had an amazing balcony where we could relax, sunbathe and enjoy that view. The staff (and there seemed to be quite a few of them) all went out of their way to ensure that every request we made was attended to and we wanted for nothing. Advice on restaurants etc was very good; the restaurant shuttle ride (200 Rand, return) was very comfortable and prompt.

Because there was renovation works going on during our visit, we were unable to use the dining room which did make breakfast service a little disjointed but the staff worked hard to ensure we were as well catered for as could be.

The sea facing Coral Suite was large with great views of the ocean & The Knysna Heads. Very comfortable big bed. Dinner next to the fireplace was really good. Breakfast was good with a small but good selection of buffet items & a great variety of cooked items to order- the views from the restaurant are amazing. Having bicycles out the front of the hotel that guests can use is a really great touch - the ride around the island is flat & easy to do I would definitely recommend doing it.

Beautful lodge in a quiet location with great views of the lagoon and the two mountains ( east and west heads).. very hospitable staff who treat you like a family member..spacious comfortable rooms featuring air conditioning and most important amenities.. .good breakfast with reasonabke variety of cold and hot items included..there is an electricity generator for times of load shedding..we used the bikes for one morning tour which were provided for free

The TV in my room and my children room had no signal at all times..I did not complain about it as we did not have much time to spend watching TV..There is no iron available at the lodge which is unusual for a 4* rating..my daughter spotted a cocroach.

View, location. Staff were amazing couldn’t have been more helpful. The location of the property could not be better overlooking the lagoon, lots to see locally. I would recommend this property. Food was good.

The property could benefit from a little upgrading, some areas needed redecorating / new carpets but nothing was really bad. It is just showing signs of being well used. This however didn’t detract from our stay.

The accommodation far exceeded my expectations. The food was great and the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond their duties to ensure my comfort. I used the accommodation shuttle and it was all the comfort and convenience. I must also mention that *Mariam, Fortune and Alex* did exceptionally well in making me feel 'not-so-alone' in my solo-cation. I had a fabulous stay and would recommend Amanzi to anyone.
