The setting of the 'village' of accommodations; beautiful grounds and lounge, pool etc.

Our detached Rondval was advertised as "triple" - big mistake for the 2 of us as it should only have been a double. The 3rd single bed made it cramped and only one comfortable chair was provided, plus one dining style chair. A request for an additional comfortable chair could not be met so one of us has to sit on the bed. Breakfast was mediocre and overpriced at ZAR 210 per person. Tips were 'requested ' but for a self service facility this seemed inappropriate. However, the short stay was great not least because of the beautiful surroundings and pool.

I do not usually give this score to a hotel, but I really cannot fault you on anything. The staff is VERY friendly, the rooms are VERY comfortable, clean and well stocked. The rooms are well maintained and nothing is broken. The location is very nice, the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return to test your restaurant.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff at reception are very professional. We booked two rooms the 3 bed rondavel was lovely and looked like it was recently renovated. The smaller 2 person room was nice but needed some TLC. The shower floor needs a deep clean but otherwise we were very happy for a 1 night stay on our road trip.

The breakfast was a good standard. I think it was a little expensive in comparison to what I paid on my travels thus far . Kids and adults paid the same price 😕. I think for the price their should have been a greater selection of fruit.

The restaurant and kitchen closed early. The towels need upgrading. Not a lot of information in the room about services. If you are very sensitive to smell the thatch or bamboo that the roof of the hut is made of can put you off. I did get use to the smell and it was part of the experience.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to personalise our experience. We needed to check in early which they helped us to do. When we got there nothing was too much for them. The play is also clean and comfy. Would have liked to spend extra time there. Highly recommend it.

Ideal location being close to visitor attractions. The hotel complex is an attractive mix of rondavels, terraced and semi detached properties. We were upgraded to an end terrace room by the pool that offered plenty of light, a private outdoor patio with bbq facility. The room had a new and unused kitchenette area for those who wish to self cater. Bathroom with a great shower. Nice pool with loungers and towels on request.

The initial room allocated was dark and seemed unaired with a pronounced thatch odour which we didn’t like. We were given an upgrade. The hotel did not provide us with complimentary bottled water and was told policy was not to all guest rooms. In my opinion for a 4* hotel this in this is a basic inclusive requirement. Limited toiletries (not the complete range usually supplied by Protea)

Grounds and pool are well-maintained and neat. Breakfast was sufficient, although limited. fresh fruit served was the best. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was close to the places of interest we wanted to visit. This place is absolutely perfect for overnight stays.

We had to downgrade from the bigger rooms booked to smaller rooms. There was no wi-fi in the booked rooms. They had recently experienced a big flood, so the internet was not fully restored. The rooms need some upgrading. Smaller wardrobes and dressing tables would create more space in the rooms. A plug-in "Doom/Mortein Bug Killer" would help keep the mosquitoes at bay.

Everything....the facility is amazing am definitely coming back again. Daily room cleaning was great since we were on a self catering unit. Very neat and quiet facility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

No wardrobe in the unit we occupied . We didn't mind as we didn't have a lot of luggage. Wifi connection poor 😢

I liked the set up of the Hotel, The rooms and especially the bed were comfortable and the Pool was clean and lovely. The Breakfast , even though there were very few guests, was excellent and we were served outside which was very pleasant. Will go back again.

Unfortunately the Restaurant was closed for Lunch and Dinner and because it was so quiet it was under staffed. One Lady for Admin, reception and service?! No service at the Pool area which was not a big problem for us as we had our room just next to the pool.

The staff, their flexibility, good food, accommodation and bed was comfortable, clean towels. Served tasty meals.....

Wi-Fi non existent except at reception. Room cleaning wasn't done one day, old and stained shower nonslip mat. Don't mess with my bath time... Lol
