Love how quite the area was, but the place itself was dead quiet after 9pm, so kind of hard to meet people for a guesthouse. The staff was amazing!! And gave great recommendations for places to eat. Great location. They did need guests to leave from 12pm to 3pm for cleaning, which was sometimes uncomfortable because either you had partied the day before or where sick (I went in March and it was extremely cold even snowed) or just tired and wanted to do a late tour day. But got used to it. It's a great location near subway station and train and the place was well maintained.

It was squeaky clean. Everything was provided and everything was straightforward from check in to checkout. No fuss. Staff is also so good though I barely saw them because I was out early and back late. I'm amazed how this hostel almost just runs by itself

The toilet and bath has weird config. Not that I don't like it...wasn't just accustomed to such arrangement. Like if the bathroom is occupied...the two toilet cubicles won't be accessible. (Good thing there are three of this hybrid toilet-bathroom in all ). The shower head and sink sharing the same water source is also new to me. But hey it works! The way they make it happen is actually smart. I thought it would be all wet and messy considering the small space but it still works! So really this isn't much of a frown

Amazing stay, such a welcoming environment and feels like at home! One of the best stays in general during all travels around the world🙏🏻 Alice was so lovely, and Reina was kind to offer fried bacon in the mornings. Great common place, that makes you feel you are in ur house and easy connect with lovely people🌿 Everything was clean, breakfast was standard but okay. Definitely will come back to this place for next stay in Seoul

I didn’t like to go from basement, where the room was located through the outside street. Which was near but still. Stay would be perfect if all rooms were located in the main building.

The place is in a really good location. Quiet neighborhood but close to all the fun of Mapo-gu. Good cafes and interesting places to go nearby, also a convenience store super close. The staff is amazing, always trying to make your stay the best possible. The breakfast is great, Coffee, eggs, cheese, ham, toasts, milk, orange juice and cereals. Self check-in is super convenient and easy. There is an automatic machine that will check your identity and give you your key and tell you which room to go. There are other positive things to say (free laundry machine, cleanliness, room temperature, and more) but i won't make it longer.

A nice comfortable stay. Clean room with all the necessities. Easy self check in, although I had a little trouble finding my room down the side of the house, in the basement, rather than in the main hostel. I arrived very late so some instructions as to where my room was would have been a nice touch. Bathrooms a little limited (I only counted two toilets in the place) considering how many people are there, frequently had to wait a while to use the toilet while people showered etc. I spent long days out and came back very late each night so, I didn't encounter any staff or use any of the hostels facilities or social areas, so I can't comment on them. But, the place did feel friendly and cosy, probably a good place for young backpackers to socialise if that's your thing. Decent stay and good location, if you want a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of Hongdae. Be aware it is a 15 minute walk into Hongdae's main area of bars and restaurants,, so don't imagine you'll be right in the heart of things.

I recently stayed at batwo in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is excellent, just a 7-minute walk from the train station, in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It’s a great base for exploring Seoul while enjoying some tranquility, but also the festive vibe of Seoul since Hongdae is very near. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the kindness of the staff, Alice and Reina, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The breakfast was another standout, with a good coffee machine that I appreciated every morning. The room was decent, equipped with curtains to provide some privacy, but there was no space to store belongings, and the beds were quite close to each other, which might not suit everyone. Regarding the bathrooms, there was a mixed experience. The bathroom on the ground floor had a very low ceiling, which made it challenging to shower comfortably, but the one on the first floor was much better and met my expectations. For the price I paid, the facilities provided were excellent. It’s a great option for budget travelers who value location and hospitality.

Chose this accommodation based on the reviews for my first trip to Seoul and absolutely don’t regret it, had a great time! It’s conveniently located in the city center, clean and comfortable, had everything you could possibly need. The self check-in process was quick and easy. Stayed in the room for two, though didn’t have a neighbor half of my time there. Also wanted to say big thank you to the staff, who even shared some homemade cookies before I left. Would love to come back❤️

The place was very cozy, nice breakfast is included (you can cook eggs, make toast), the location is great (8-10 mins walk from the subway). Even though the neighbourhood is very lively, it was very calm around the hostel. Self check-in and out are very convenient as well. The pillow and matress are very good.

The cleanness can be improved: when I walked in my socks, they became dirty. The staff could wash the floors when cleaning to prevent it. The bunk beds are also not the best. When my neighbour arrived late at night, the bed was shaking as she climbed up. It was disturbing, as it was quite late.

There is so much I could say about how much my friends and I loved our stay at this guesthouse. It exceeded all our expectations in every regard! To begin, Reina, the host, really put a lot of love into her guesthouse and has created such a great environment for everyone who comes. Not to mention how incredibly clean the place was. The communal space is really open and inviting that naturally encouraged conversation between guests and often times Reina will be around having conversation with everyone as well! While we were there Reina hosted a big dinner where everyone in the guest house either helped with shopping, food prepping or cooking before coming together and having a delicious feast full of laughter. On top of that she hosted a class where we were able to make Makgeolli (Korean traditional liquor) from scratch and got to sample a bunch of different flavors. My friends and I loved it so much we canceled out reservation at another hostel just to stay longer. I've stayed at many hostels in my life both in Seoul and around the world and can say that nothing compares to the experience I had at Batwo Stay. Talking with the other friends I made there I found out that many of them love the place so much that they themselves are returning guests as well! It felt a second home. People love it so much that they will come and try to hangout in the common area even if they don't have a room for the night! Reina truly did an incredible job creating and will definitely be returning in the future! I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone who wants to stay at a clean hostel with welcoming staff surrounded by genuine guests. Oh did I mention there's free tea and coffee?!

What a great experience at Batwo Stay! I don't really like staying in hostels but I felt very comfortable at Batwo Stay. I stayed in a female double room (not many hostels offer this option) which I found perfect as I don't like sleeping in a room with lots of strangers. The owner Reina is very friendly, helpful and runs the hostel with a lot of love. As there are only 4 rooms in total, there aren't so many people in the hostel at once which made it easy to connect with other guests. In general, I felt very safe as the codes for the entrance doors are changed daily and each room has its own entry code. The hostel has everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes from Hongik University subway station and Hongdae Street. Every day I looked forward to returning to Batwo Stay in the evening to socialise, eat and drink together with the guests and the owner. Thank you Reina for being part of my trip to Seoul and for giving me such wonderful memories at Batwo Stay!
