It is at the central of everything, few steps to the night market, location is very good even though we had problem looking for it when we just arrived. Room is very small but clean and tidy. Breakfast is acceptable . Even we stay near to the lobby, room is sound proof, we didn’t hear anything in the morning. Extra point there is a weighing scale to weight your luggage.

The building look old and there is urine smell while waiting for lift at the 1st floor, that becos the toilet is just beside the lift. The curtain in the room is not blackout, it gets very bright in the morning. The toilet get very wet after a shower as it was a small space. Only 2 hangers are provided to hang clothes and only a wall hock without a cabinet

Great location in the heart of Myeongdong; Room is small, but comfy; Staff is friendly and helpful, speaks decent English; Everything is clean; Kitchen in lobby is quite good, you can prepare something easy for yourself; Free still water;

Desk is not 24/7, you have to warn staff in advance when you arrive; Breakfast is quite poor; Bathroom is small and has no a dedicated place to shower; There is no wardrobe in the room; Rooms are not sound-proofed; You always have to keep an air conditioning on to keep a room warm enough;

Prime location at Myeongdong, you pay a little less for smaller room, windows can be opened for outside air, near metro and airport k-bus service, night market is a block away. Slow closing door mechanism installed, so you don't hear your neighbors door slamming. Free water dispenser and mini washers on each floor. Free breakfast with both Korean and Western served, Nice view from selected room and the room I stayed was pretty quiet the whole time. Don't forget to bring $20k KRW cash deposit when check in.

Some hallway flooring was uneven but you will get used it after awhile. Weak bathroom fan, and only one room key card was provided.

- The staffs are very helpful. - The room is clean. The common area is clean. The laundry machine is free to use. - There is not much option for the breakfast. But it's delicious. - The bed is so comfy. - The room and bathroom is small but it's ok. Love the standard towel that they provide. I don't like small towel that Korean people use.

The location is close to the subway line 4 and line 2 but there is no elevator and escalator at the exit 5 which is close to the hostel. So you have to take exit 6 or 7 (sorry I can't remember) for taking the escalator with your luggage. Or else, you should take exit 1 because this is the only exit that has elevator from the track floor up to the ground. There is no airport bus at Myeongdong. They suspends the service because Covid-19. So I think the location is good when traveling around but it might make you tired when traveling with luggage. Hope the airport bus service at Myeongdong be available soon.

Great location, right in the lively area of Myeongdong, but still quiet as the hotel is in a small alley. Rooms are located on the 11th to 13th floor of the building without direct vis-a-vis, with a rooftop on top of that. Breakfast was fine for this hotel level; there was at least a renewed hot dish every day. This hotel offers free self-laundry service, besides the free computer service. The staff was very nice, informative and helpful.

The shower room is extremely tiny (toilet, sink and shower in a surface of about one square meter): even a thin person like me could hardly move. The whole area is entirely wet when you take a shower. In winter period, there is a slight inconvenience with the air-conditioning/heating based on the same system: the heating is turned on only after 8:00 p.m.==> if you happen to stay in your room in day time, it's cold. Fortunately, the staff provided me a removable heater. There should be more racks for hanging clothes.

Location is great. Near to subway and near to funicular to nseoul tower too!

The lift. Lift is slow and only one lift can go to the lobby. Not a problem unless u are in rush to go to the airport during ur check out 😆

the location are really good - train station, night market, shop and resturant, the location is so convenient that you can shop and than back to hostel to rest and continue to shop again. room is comfortable but the bed guess is time to change the mattress as we can feel the spring (this is not the first time we stayed in 57 myeongdong hostel it is really a good place to stay), i like the thoughts of having a small washing machine for traveler to use which is very thoughtful. breakfast is simple but good enough to kick start the day.

i like everything. thumps up to the staff keeping the place clean and comfortable, they are always very friendly and helpful there is nothing that i didn't like.

The people working there, the receptionist to be specific was so nice, he was there when I had questions about exchanging money, sending a post card (they offer to send it for you) also gave me a bookmark gift. Never experienced a personnel as nice a him.

The room was a bit small and I reserved a room by myself for 2, but price/quality wise you get what you pay for. Also the hotel itself is literally at the beginning of the Myeongdong street so it was sooo comfortable to go shop go back home and then go out again and shop. Also literally 3 min walk to the bus station that gets you directly to the airport.

The location is outstanding very near to subway station exit and bus stop as well and convenience store, Isaac Toast shop just few steps from the hotel. The room is clean even though not spacious but enough for 3 ppl, they have washing machine as well, water dispenser, hairdryer, iron n board upon request, especially muslim friendly breakfast, a lot of food even though not all halal but muslim can still enjoy breakfast as there is boiled egg, bread where you can toast, plain rice porridge, cornflakes, salads and others. The staffs are friendly and they can speak English very well.

The room was the perfect size for me as a solo traveler and clean, I did have to get creative to arrange my stuff but it worked well. The air-conditioning worked perfectly with the scorching sun outside. Bathroom, again on the smaller size, everything was in the same space shower, toilet, and sink, I was amazed at how fast the floor dried up given you had taken a shower in there. By the way, they give you room and bathroom slippers. Also you have a TV and mini fridge. Amenities: free mini washers (the cutest thing ever) located in the hallway of each floor, drier rack to put in the room, breakfast which caters to most cultures (you are asked to please wash the dishes after you eat, no biggie for me, just be aware), I read they have a computer available (did not use) and free high-speed internet in your room. A rooftop for smokers and the view is nice from there at night to take a night picture of the city streets and billboards. Another plus is the location: Walking distance to a substation, many bus stops to travel in any direction, and the entrance to the Namsan Tower by cable. Easy access for taxis to pick up/drop off, just be mindful that at rush hour is better to do it on the main street around the corner. Also, you are at the heart of the Myeongdong area where shopping, food, etc. is available, and don't worry about the noise the hostel is located between floors 11 and 13 (main lobby). I think If you are on a budget like me this is a great alternative to stay at.

Being an old building is a bit musty. However, I just got one of those car air fresheners placed it close to the AC (not inside), and kept my room smelling nice. Other than that can't think of another thing that would make my stay there a deal breaker.
