The staff were all friendly and willing to help. The room was clean and warm. I had no problem sleeping and the bed was comfortable. The room had enough pillows and bedding. The bathroom had towels, body wash, and shampoo. The breakfast is self-serve and you can make toast, eat cereal, and have coffee or tea. OYO Hostel also helped me book a taxi to the airport for the next day and helped me move my bags to where the taxi would pick me up.

I took a taxi from Seoul station to where OYO Hostel is, but the taxi could not drop me off near the hostel. The taxi driver was kind enough to help me phone OYO Hostel and showed me where I had to go. I had 3 bags and it was a little difficult to get to where OYO Hostel is. You have to go upstairs before you get to the elevator.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was right in the middle of Myeongdong, and safe to get to at night. Rooms were on the smaller side but there was enough space for 2 big luggages. Breakfast in the morning is a plus. The open space outside the rooms made the stay more comfortable to hang out and eat as there is a microwave and plates/cutlery.

I enjoyed everything

The staff there were so nice and friendly they speak English very well , they even provide the limousine bus schedule to the Incheon airport which was very convenient for us to plan ahead and the bus stat was really near to our hostel. The hostel provided free breakfast too with tea , bread and cereal as advertised. The room was a little small with one bunk beds , but suitable for two people which is me and my mum, although the bed mattress was a little thin but the blanket was thick enough which was okay , it wasn't too uncomfortable and it wasn't too comfortable , just nice if you are not looking forward to stay in your room all day long. Overall the room and bathroom is clean, the ac works super well.

They only give you the small towels , you have to pay for the big towels. and even though they cleaned your towels during room service the towels doesn't smell nice, it smells a bit damp. So I recommend you to bring your own so you can save money. And also they have this small stairs to go up to their elevator so it's a bit tiring to bring your own luggage up and down but it is still tolerable you just have to do it slowly, just be aware that they have a small stairs to go up to their elevator.

[REVIEW ABOUT PRIVATE ROOM] Really friendly staff, will try to help you and accommodate you in pretty much every way possible. When storing my bags prior to my check in they put my bags in the back without a problem. Whilst having breakfast, the host was eagerly refilling and kept providing more and more food at the buffet table for the guests. Small things like that go a long way. Just an overall pleasant and good experience. Also this lays in the middle of a busy shopping area/street in Seoul, so perfect to soak everything in a short timeframe. The accommodation is also not very expensive, also not the cheapest ive seen. I will consider this accommodation again in the future if travel down there again. Recommend.

[REVIEW ABOUT PRIVATE ROOM] The rooms are rather small and things like outlets are somewhat limited but overall minor things. In Korea the shower is kinda in the toilet room as well. Not sure if that just is a culture shock but that felt abit unhandy/unhygienic. On private rooms there isnt a kettle or some coffee, which makes sense since they serve breakfast but thats a little thing that could go a long way for guest's comfort. But again i am really nitpicking now. I will consider this accommodation again in the future if travel down there again.

Location is perfect. You’re at the heart of myeongdong, but still inside the hostel you don’t hear sounds from the streets. Super close to the metro, with so many shops and street food kiosks to enjoy and stroll around.

Rooms are small and humid, and the breakfast is a bit limited. But at the end of the day, if you want to focus on the trip and are okay with a simpler type of accommodation, then this is a great choice.

The location is superb, very near the shops and the subway and bus stations. The room is clean, but rather small as expected. but for budget travelers like us, this is just fine. we only stayed in our room to sleep and wash up. breakfast is fine as well, basic. Overall, I will still recommend this hostel to friends and family who wants convenience, location wise and budget friendly hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful too, and speak English well, Hi to Amee, KC and Alex. the 6 steps stairs going to the elevator, is a hassle especially when you have heavy luggage to carry. breakfast is served rather late at 8am. we are so used to 6am breakfast especially when you need to leave the hostel early for an arranged tour.

If you're coming to Seoul for the first time, then OYO might be the best choice for you. Easy to find, and the hostel has a very convenient location — you can get anywhere you need by public transport or just by walking..& two big metro stations were nearby. The room itself was neat and quite small, but there was everything I might need. Even the tiny fridge, hehe Oh and the water pressure was stable (which is really good!) As a first time traveler I had a bunch of fears, but everything was fine and I had a great time there. Above all I'm really grateful to the staff, you guys are so kind and friendly! 🥰

Maybe the bed was a bit hard or I'm just being picky since the bed at home is very soft 😅

Perfect location. Located on a corner just a few steps away from the busy shopping bit so ideal. Staff were super helpful. Room is small but perfect for the location. Also room was modern and well maintained. Breakfast was a nice item to have. To access the hostel go to level 4 in the lift.

Nothing really. Perfect location, staff and sleeping facilities. Note the shower is above the sink and bathroom is cramped but expected for country and location.

The staff was very friendly and helped me whenever I had questions. The location was in the heart of Myeongdong, yet it was very quiet at night. There is an elevator, so I didn't have to drag my luggage up the stairs to the 4th floor. The rooms are small, but this is very typical for hostels in Seoul. And the bathroom also works as the shower cabin. Again, this is very typical for these types of hostels. There is a special pair of slippers provided that you are supposed to wear in the bathroom/shower. These rooms are ideal for travelers (also solo travelers) that mostly just use the room to sleep, shower, get changed and prefer not to spend too much. Those that are looking for luxury, should look into different price ranges. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were provided daily (as long as you turn around the sign on the door).

Not so much a complaint, and more of a warning for fellow Western travelers that might not be used to it: Plumbing in a lot of Korean buildings can't handle toilet paper being flushed, so you have to put your used tp in the bin and not in the toilet bowl. This was also the case here.
