I loved my stay at this traditional Hanok style accommodation. It was a homely atmosphere. The owners were very kind and helpful. They even allowed me to leave behind my heavy suitcase when I was going to another location in SK for a couple of days. The location is very optimal, Insadong can be reached in a few minutes by foot and the nearby metro station, bringing you to all over the city. Lots of restaurants nearby. Despite being not too big, the room was comfortable enough for a single person with access to necessary provisions within the accommodation.

This is a minor requirement, but good to have. There were no wardrobe/shelf/hooks on the wall to store or hang my clothes. There was a rack just outside the room with hangers, but I was not comfortable placing all my clothes there on display to every person entering the Hanok Stay.

Well, from the night before I he check in and till the very end the owner was very kind and helphful. He gave very clear and accurate instructions about the way to the hotel. Owner’s wife prepared some breakfast on the check out morning and the owner even took me to the bus stop and helped with the luggage. Very kind and polite couple. The hanok itself is small and cozy, perfect for those who are looking for peace of mind. The facility is clean and has all basic needs. The location is also perfect, close to Insadong, Ikseondong, palaces, temples etc. It was my first experience in Seoul and I am totally happy with the choice I made.

The owner and husband are friendly and helpful. If you'd like to experience staying in a traditional style home, this is the place for you. Decent place near the palace. The room is cosy with a futon style bed, air-conditioning is cold. I would recommend this place for someone who wants the Hanok experience within budget. Be aware of the local sockets, you might find it a little difficult to charge your devices if you do not have the Korean/international adapter.

Lovely unique lodging in a very strategic location. Place was very clean but what sets it apart is the care and concern of the owners. Communication was excellent prior to our arrival. We came in very late, past midnight and the owner stayed up to make sure we got in and showed us to our room and explained where and how things worked. On checkout day, for breakfast his wife gave us free homemade kimchi and delicious kimbap (?). Would recommend this place for those who want to experience staying in a traditional house!

It was definitely an experience staying at a traditional Hanok! My boyfriend and I loved it. Beware that it’s a futon, so don’t expect the comfort of a hotel bed - but the futon is so nice for your back, keep an open mind. The location was amazing right next to ikseondong and jongno restaurant street and close to the palaces. But still quiet as the Hanok is tucked away in a small street. And lastly I did not get to meet the host, but she was quick to reply and lovely with guiding us through messaging. Her husband received us and he was very nice as well! All in all a great stay and a good way to enjoy this area of Seoul.

Nothing - however if we did stay for a longer stay the rooms might be a little tight with bigger luggage. This was fine for only two nights though.

The hosts were great, we were shown how everything including the lock at the front dort works in detail. It was very clean and maintained. It was near the famous Ikseon-dong Hanok village, which was about a 3 min walk away. Great to get the traditional feeling.

The WiFi was a bit weak which we had not anticipated in South Korea. It worked but zoom meetings were not possible. It way really the only „downside“. Everything else was top notch!

The house was really cozy. It had most facilities you could look for despite maintaining a traditional look. The place is clean and well kept. It is also close to a lot of restaurants and convenience stores, along with a lot of historical sites such as the Changgyeonggung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. The host was also extremely helpful and kind, eager to help with whatever came up during our stay. I would definitely recommend the staying here.

Lovely couple hosts helped us get a taxi & carry our heavy luggage to the main road as the house is located at alleys not accessible by car. She made us complimentary kimchi fried rice for breakfast. The traditional house has a real cozy ambience with quaint courtyard. Very clean with functional kitchen with free coffee tea. The vicinity has many cafes & eateries, just 10min walk away has amazing night life, roadside food carts, tent food stalls. It's only 2 minutes walk to subway.

I guess I am not as fit as the Koreans my age, I have problem getting up & down from sleeping & sitting on the floor😅

The location of this property is great for sightseeing. The couple who run it are very kind and generous, and they looked after me very well.

Security to the hanok shared space is good (depending on how many people know the access code), but my room security was very weak (the padlock is smaller than the metal hoop it supposedly secures, meaning that it was easily circumvented). My room lacked closet/hanging space for clothes, but I managed well enough.

Such a great experience staying in a traditional hanok! If you are used to luxury and extra plush surroundings, this might not be for you, but if you want a traditional experience in the heart of Insadong, this is a great place to stay. Our hosts were very pleasant and super accommodating. Lovely home!

The sleeping mats could have been a bit more comfortable. They were on the thin side. We had to ask for extra pillows to compensate, but once we got extra pillows, all was well.
