Location, location, location. The Garden Hotel is in an excellent location. Take the 6011 bus from Incheon Airport to Changdeoggung, then walk for 5 minutes to find the hotel. There are many restaurants nearby, as well as some good fashion boutiques, making this an excellent place for young people. The Garden Hotel has a common area where different types of coffee are available for free, as well as a free laundry service. You may make many new friends from all over the world. Definitely a lovely hotel for you.

A really good location, close to Insadong and the palaces. The room was clean and although we were on the groundfloor in front of the kitchen I couldn't hear anything when we went to sleep (they have a curfew of using the kitchen and facilities by 9pm). There was free coffee and snacks to use which was great for saving money on coffee as Korea isn't the cheapest to travel around. The staff were very helpful and we even ended up extending a night. I'm not sure if the other bad reviews were just bad luck but we enjoyed our stay. Also in East Asia it's common to have a small bathroom and this was the case here. Also good WiFi.

It’s a lovely little hotel in Jongno-gu in the Iksadong area. It’s simple but very comfortable and perfectly located. I stayed there for three weeks and could reach almost every location easily (there are about three nearby subway stations and several bus stops) and the hotel staff was always nice and helpful. The area has plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and while it’s not tad busy as other more popular areas I found it more comfortable to not have to deal with that many people (not to say that the area is deserted, there’s plenty to do!)

They don’t clean every day but I guess as long as you’re not making a mess each day it’s not a big deal.

Location was nice. Staff was lovely. We got bottled water. Microwaves were available. Room was warm and the window was a very good one - vented the room out well but didn’t create a draft when closed because of a double door. Bed was hard ish, good for my back. There was an elevator. Room was quiet.

One bigger minus was, the water temperature flactuated. We found that it was warm ish when set to the middle position. Other than that, everything was lovely. The room was a little bit small. The bathroom was cold on the first night but we left its door open the next day and the room heating heater up the bathroom too.

I had a wonderful stay at The Garden Hotel in Jongno district. I arrived on a weekend and was immediately impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate me, especially since the check-in time was still at 4:00 pm. The room was spotless and well-equipped with all the essentials I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is another huge plus—easily accessible and convenient for exploring the area. The weekend staff left a great impression, but the weekday team was equally outstanding, ensuring consistent service throughout my visit. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail really made my stay enjoyable. Overall, The Garden Hotel offered excellent value for money, combining great service, a clean and cozy atmosphere, and a prime location. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Jongno district. Will definitely book here again next time! :)

Incredibly convenient for travelers, being just a few meters away from the airport limousine bus station, making airport transfers a breeze. It's also centrally located with easy walking access to notable attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Jongmyo Shrine, and Insadong. Plus, you'll find plenty of trendy coffee shops and pastry spots right nearby. Additionally, the subway station is within walking distance, adding further convenience to your stay. Rooms are small but still have space to move around and open your luggage fully.

The shower temperature was a bit challenging to adjust, as it was either too hot or too cold, making it hard to find the right balance for a comfortable shower.

Location was perfect, very clean, bed was exceptionally comfortable, staff are accommodating.

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of my trip, and again at the end of the trip. My first stay had a very late arrival and I found the front desk staff very polite. Check-in was seamless. Check-in on my return was just as smooth, even though the hotel was fully booked and had a large number of guests arriving at the same time. The mood and atmosphere at this hotel is very pleasant and there's always staff available to assist you with enquiries.

The room was a bit tight but that was to be expected. The location is perfect, a 3 minute walk from the bus stop from the airport limousine (from the airport) Staff are very friendly and a big plus that they have shops and resturants close by, especially CU for any quick fixes. There was a water dispenser (hot and cold) as well as a washing machine. Hotel is close to 2 major stations so easy to get around Seoul too. I would stay again for sure!

Doors opened outwards which i wasn't a huge fan of but that's me finding something that I didn't like!

The hotel is located in a good location, many cafes, restaurants, metro nearby, bus stops nearby, also many 24-hour shops nearby. Nearby are attractions such as Myeongdong Street, Dongdaemun. I really liked that we were able to check in earlier than the allotted time, the staff is responsive. On the first floor there are amenities such as a coffee machine, 2 microwaves, 2 washing machines, 2 dryers, a dispenser, an area where you can eat and drink coffee. The staff is responsive.

The room is small, but there are amenities for relaxation (air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, hanger) and I would recommend changing the location of the shower head in the bathroom.

Enjoyed our two night stay (with our kid), it was family friendly, quiet, clean, basic but everything we needed (mainly a base for sleeping) and an excellent location. The staff were friendly. There are two subway stations a short walk away but it's in walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, the Folk Music Museum was a nice surprise, Insadong, two palaces and much more.

The other guests we saw were pleasant but at night, some ignored the clear signs in the hallway saying SILENCE. Generally it was very quiet, but despite this, I was woken up a each night with other guests talking in the hallway - they all seemed to be families arriving/leaving and were pleasant enough, nothing rowdy. The soundproofing is great between rooms, you can just hear people (who don't read signs) in the hallway. Perhaps the signs need to be in multiple languages? This is why I haven't given full marks for comfort.
