The location is excellent -- Tong Tong is right near the Jongmyo shrine and Jongno 3 station, as well as a ton of great restaurants (tons of Korean BBQ), one of Seoul's historic hanok villages (converted into great shops and cafes), and Seoul's equivalent to the NYC diamond district for anyone interested in doing some jewelry shopping. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and were able to check us in a few hours early, which was super helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for! Also, PSA for fellow Americans and any others who may not expect it: it is common for places in South Korea to combine the shower with a bathroom, and towels approximately the size of a hand towel are used for drying off, so if you want a large bath towel I suggest packing one. I have seen a lot of reviews of hotels in Seoul mention these two things, which are common and not specific to any single hotel. We did not find this to be an issue but I'm mentioning here for anyone who may not be aware! :)

The small hotel is ideally situated in the city center and close to Ikseondong area with many cafรฉs, restaurants and bar, yet in a quite side street. The staff is very friendly and caring and it wasa easy to communicate with them during and prior to my stay through KakaoTalk. The room was very cute and actually bigger than expected from the pictures and was indeed very comfortable. The staff made sure to exactly honor my request for windows and view on the temple which I appreciated very much. The room and bathroom were very clean and all was new and well maintained. There are lots of useful and well thought amenities in the room, such as a back massage device, great aircon and lighting system, make-up mirror, hangers and water is provided daily. I felt very cozy in this small room and even though I was traveling with a huge suitcase, there was definitely enough space. I also did not fell inconvenienced at all by the monks chants, as I had read this in some other reviews. The first night I used the earplugs that were kindly provided (very much attention to detail from the kind staff) but soon did not need them anymore. Upon Check In, even though the lady did not speak English, rules and information were provided clearly. Oerall, although the hotel seemed to be fully booked, it was very quiet in all parts whenever I was there.
I would have wished it was possible to access the rooftop later at night. As I had been busy exploring, I could naver make it in time to enjoy the rooftop view or maybe have a drink up there in the evening due to the restricted hours. If people use it respectfully, it would be nice to let residents go upstairs whenever they want to use it. I sometimes felt the price was a bit high on certain nights when I checked availabilty (as it was different for every night).

I had a lovely stay at tong tong! The location was super convenient for the first leg of my first trip to Seoul, since I could easily walk to several key destinations and it was right next to an area with loads of cafes and shops. Lots of public transportation is accessible, too (but I feel like every bit of Seoul had good transportation options nearby). I slept well, and appreciated the back & foot massager that was provided in the room. I was just one person traveling and stayed in the bunk bed single room, so it was more than enough space for me. The view from the window was great to wake up to, and thereโs a cozy rooftop and cafe I didnโt get to enjoy enough during my trip. The employees were sweet and I felt very safe throughout my stay, and I was able to leave my luggage for a few hours after checkout.
There was some evidence of past water damage on the ceiling, which caused zero issues during my stay but was just something less comforting, especially sleeping up in the bunk bed. (They have a fabric hanging on the ceiling that hides it.) But for the affordable price, the area and the comforts otherwise, I feel like itโs still in line with the good value of the stay. As a solo traveler I didnโt have an issue with the shower situation, but can see how that might be less ideal for a party of two with the whole bathroom getting wet after the first person showers.

I had a lovely stay as a solo traveler. There rooms are small but big enough for one person and well equipped with a small tv, ac, hairdryer. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and overall very clean. Itโs located in the older parts of Seoul which I prefer but there are metro lines very close that take you to the busier parts of Seoul. The best part of this place is the staff. I wanted to store some luggage in order to travel lightly to Tokyo for a couple of days and they were really kind and helped me find a good storing facility for cheap. Iโm very glad to have stayed here.

Great clean, well thought out space. Very pleasant. Fantastic location just near the metro and the buzz of insadong. Short walk to nearby historic sites and park. Very good communication.
Towels were a bit small!

Excellent location if you want to explore the Jongno-gu / Bukchon area, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee and muffins ๐. And the room (I had a single maisonette), although small, is very cleverly furnished and organised, as is the entire hotel. As the name says, itโs โpetitโ, so do not expect much space, but itโs cozy and comes at a fair price. Itโs not โposhโ in the conventional way but has style, charm and a personal touch.
Thereโs nothing I didnโt like about the accommodation, only both google maps and naver map seemed confused, so taxi drivers had a hard time finding the place.

Great location: 10min walk from the airport express, under 30min walk to major temples, lots of very convenient metro/bus lines close Staff was very nice; has a cafe with guest discounts on the ground floor too! There is a direct bus line to KBS Arena if you're coming for a concert. Room is small but has lots of space with the top bed & I had a great view over the temple next door!

Small hotel but huge value! Located in an alley near Changdeokgung and Jongmyo Shrine, right next to a Buddhist temple. Lots of cool restaurants, cafes, etc. are a short walk away but the property itself was very quiet. The room was super clean, seemed pretty new and was more than spacious enough for one person. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. There's a little cafe downstairs that makes good drinks, and a rooftop space that offers great views of the city. The staff was nice and courteous. I was sad I didn't stay here my entire time in Seoul and definitely plan to stay here on my next visit. It was much nicer than other properties I've stayed at that are charging 50% and more per night.
It should be noted there's no wet-dry separation in the bathroom and body-size towels are not provided. This is common in South Korea but might come as a surprise to visitors who haven't been before.

Next to a temple, so I had an amazing view from my room. Even though they provided ear plugs in case you're bothered by the morning service I only heard very faint noises on a Sunday morning, and it was actually pleasant to wake up to them. The room is rather small, but you don't really feel it because of the way it's arranged. I loved sleeping "upstairs", and the little "downstairs" nook for watching TV was simply perfect. Also, I found the bathroom to be rather spacious, compared to other places in SK. It's walking distance from one of the palaces, and there's restaurants all around. It's also next to an area where lots of Koreans come out in the evenings to socialise/eat, so make sure to walk around and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Perfect value for money!
Bathroom towels they provide are minuscule, although they do the job.

The hotel is absolutely adorable and has a number of great amenities for the low price. It is quiet, cozy, and clean. The room itself was super cute and cozy and had plenty of space for just one person.
There is no bath towel included with the room. Iโm not sure if that helps them keep prices low (?), but it is a little detail that would really put this hotel over the top. Additionally, I wish the hours of the top floor comment area were a little bit more extended. I also donโt really think I would stay in this area again if I return to Seoul, but that is my choice, not a fault of the property.
