This was such an amazing stay! Spacious room, comfy bed, great location right bang in the middle of Myeongdong. Staff were super efficient friendly, attentive and professional. There's a self service laundry room which is available 24/7; very handy when you get back after a whole day in the Seoul heat. Myeongdong is an extremely busy area, and the hotel has 2 major fried chicken franchises right in front so the street is noisy. Yet the isolation is great! I had to open the window to realise the havoc of the neighbourhood. The night market is literally around the corner, which, as a solo traveller I really appreciated as it provided with fast and yummy Korean street food ans saved me from having to find a restaurant to sit alone :) I highly recommend this hotel!

I booked 3 rooms in December 2024 for check in on April 6. However, the views in all rooms are blocked.

What a gem. This hotel's unbeatable location right at the night market is a major highlight. It's incredibly convenient - one bus ride from the airport, with the stop only a 3-minute walk away. The staff were simply marvelous, accommodating us with an early check-in and assisting in arranging a taxi for our early flight. The rooms themselves were fantastic, offering comfort and style. A superb choice for travelers seeking convenience and exceptional service.

Spacious room, clean, nice amenities - Dyson hair dryer was a bonus, free mini bar goodies everyday! Rooms have an air purifier and temperature control is really good. Facilities were great - the coin laundry and dryer were well priced and well maintained. Location is great - right in the heart of Myeongdong - a little hard for taxis to get to but easy to find another location. Not all things are in your room, but a everything e.g. iron and ironing board are just a phone call away. Cleaning staff were amazing and very efficient!

Lighting could be a bit brighter in rooms , other than that, this far exceeds my expectations as a first time visitor to Seoul.

What i loved: - Comfortable bed ( a bit firm mattress compared to European standard, but it wasn’t an issue for me ) - Theater moody ambiance - Very modern and clean - Japanese toilet! - My room was facing the restaurants and it was super quiet in the room, no noise whatsoever. - The staff were very professional and kind - Good Wi-fi - Free minibar stocked daily

What could be better / side notes: - The outlet on the right side of the bed wasn’t working - The AC makes loud noise if you adjust it below 20. - Hotel restaurant was closed for renovation - Only one elevator and its slow sometimes - The entrance gets really crowded at night due to the bars and restaurants infront - Not all Uber’s and taxis are able to drop you or pick you up from the entrance, you need to walk 2 min to the nearest main road

One of the best restaurants I ate at on our South Korean trip. We had a multi-course supper and also breakfast was very very good. The hotel was founded by a famous local movie star and a few eccentric and quirky aspects must be down to this (i.e. there is a small exhibition that shows the life of the actor). Altogether there was a mood that the hotel is more than a mere business and guests' comfort is valued very highly (e.g. we were not able to book train tickets, two employes helped us although the process took a long time, and eventually paid the tickets from the hotel accounts that we then repaid, they raced with us to the exit to make sure we got the taxi in time, etc.) a great culinary and human experience.

employees’ service is excellent. It reflects the high quality of management. it’s brilliant. i’m really impressed by the clean of bathroom window, and appreciated by the generosity when you provided/ refilled the bar food. This is also the main reason I write down this comment. Here are two “Nice to have” advices I could give. 1. Make a cozy music with your hotel intro on TV, this will instantly upgrade the Luxury feeling of Hotel28, it’s easy to prove it when refer to all the top hotel. Also, this it costs less to complete. Furthermore, it’s might be the most used TV channel traveler used ,because the most channels on TV are boring to foreigner, especially they are not familiar with korean language. 2. Provide toothpaste. I understand the government has some policy against one time used. I agree with it as well, because the toothbrush most hotel provided is suck, so I brought my toothbrush myself. BUT, who brings toothpaste with them when traveling? AND, there is no wasted issue with the provided toothpaste. All the provided toothpaste are fully used, right?

great location , cant beat it. Breakfast was good. room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. We had no view (faced another building. But we were out so much that we just came there to sleep. The roomcard also gives you discounts in some surrounding shops and the cafe next door was lovely.

A note for vegans: they have a vegan traditional breakfast menu for breakfast. Its states vegan menu but has an egg dish and fish stock in the soup. So make sure you ask for no fish or egg. Maybe a good idea for the hotel to review the vegan menuto make it truly vegan.

I liked the warm and pleasant staff. They were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was also incredibly efficient and clean. Hotel location is hands down one of the best I've ever been in. You're literally surrounded by famous eateries and right smack in the middle of Myeongdong shopping street. You're spoilt for choice for street food, shopping for souvenirs, coffee, dessert, fried chicken, kbbq, fruits, everything. It was also only 10 to 15 mins walking distance away from popular departmental stores. Rooms were nice, and beds very comfortable to sleep in. Not much on the tv channel but that was OK. It had a decent desk for me to do my laptop work on which was great. Toilet seats were heated. Shower was hot and strong. There's a Din Tai Fung and a gym within the hotel. The Din Tai Fung restaurant is immensely popular. You get a 15% discount as a guest of the hotel. There is also Cream Chic, a nice cafe right next to the hotel. The iced chocolate latte is superb. The pastries are great too. As a guest you also get a discount. It was a dream vacation. Money well spent. Rooms were facing the street and we were ready for street noise but surprisingly there was hardly any. The soundproofing was pretty good. I am someone who needs bright lights in rooms and can't stand dim hotel rooms. This hotel had rooms with lots of lights! Loved it.
