This hotel was a real find. The location was great. Located strategically to access El Caminito del Rey, or Marbella or other towns in the periphery. If you wanted to just relax in the beautiful environment stay back and enjoy. The pool was fantastic, the grounds well cared for and the owner, Olvier was, what can we say? A true jewel. He serves great dinners, prepared by his partner and has an excellent collection of beers from all over the world. You can enjoy the evening, under the stars, sipping your wine or beer. Nothing to distract you, complete relaxation! Also, Oliver is well connected to agencies that can help you get tickets to El Caminito del Rey or to a restaurant. He knows the area well and what to us was important, he knows the history of his own property and the area in general.

We found that parking was a bit hard. If you had a big car, you could not fit in that space. But that did not deters one from enjoying the place.

The breakfast was lovely- fresh mandarin juice from their trees, good strong coffee, yoghurts, fresh pancakes or fried eggs, cereals, homemade jams including limon, which was lovely with the pancakes. Bread, fresh meats and cheese, and fresh fruit salad. A great start to the day and available from 8am-10am, which was perfect for us. Location is right by the train station, so great for connecting to the airport in Malaga. The local bus to the supermarket is cheap and reliable, there are a few bars and restaurants locally, and we really enjoyed the Camelito Del Rey hike from El chorro (again an easy bus ride away). Highlights included the horseriding through the mountains booked with assistance from Olivier and Franek of El Cielo Azul, who were always available and happy to help. Food very good, all cooked freshly on site. Beautiful bedroom with high ceiling, lovely clean pool, air conditioning and plenty of information. There's a great shisha bar nearby too! Lovely dog and beautiful little cats. Fantastic!

Couldn't have been better!

Two adults and one 6 yo kid have been enjoying a great time at El Cielo Azul. The garden covered by shade and the perfectly size pool was the main attraction for us. Our son was having great fun at the pool as it has the perfect size him for learning to swim better. The privacy given by the garden permitted us to enjoy long and restful afternoon/mornings. The room was clean and tidy with clean and modern bathroom.

Great location for the train station but was so much more than that. Such a lovely place with gorgeous courtyard garden and pool...and aircon! The building itself has some lovely features and has been thoughtfully restored. Although close to the station, there were some lovely views, day and night. Excellent host...welcoming, friendly and kind. Thank you. Will be back...

Not one thing.

The service was impeccable. Cannot recommend El Cielo Azul enough. Oliver and Frank where fantastic and always at hand to help , whenever we needed it. A wonderful stay

Nothing. The walk to the town is up a steep hill, which wasn't a problem for us but if you don't fancy the hike ,a taxi is only €5 or the bus is €1.50.

Perfect stay to visit Calminito Del Rey. Room, bath and host are perfect. Breakfast exceptional (best during our 10 day stay in Spain). The host was very helpful and courteous. We would definitively stay there again.

The accommodation is next to a train station. It is not very loud and when the windows are closed, you don’t hear anything. The public transport trains are relatively quiet but the freight traffic are not. But this is complaining on a very high level.

Overall, a perfect stay at El Cielo Azul. Host was really nice throughout our stay, always very charming. The breakfast buffet was lovely and family really enjoyed it! Swimming pool looked really nice too, so girls want to return sometime in summer to use this! Nice touches like your own Dolce Gusto coffee machine in your room, ideal for coffee lovers like ourselves.

Really can't fault anything in particular! Location just a bit out of the main town centre, so if travelling with young family it can be slight issue and probably will have to rely on a car.

Super friendly and nice stuff! Did they best to make us feel comfy. The ground floor of the hotel is really cozy and warm to be in. The hotel itself is in an old (around 200 years) house, felt special to have a night in there. The room was large and very clean, same as the bathroom. The breakfast was nice, the owner made pancakes for us and a freshly squeezed orange juice.

The only thing was the size of duvets in the room, they were a bit small for us. The rest was all good.

Location was OK, 20min walk to the city center. Nearby train station and a bar. Breakfast was very nice, very yummy local jams :). Parking for the car was on the site, which is very cool.

Beds were not that comfortable, but otherwise room was big and clean. Wifi was not super fast, but for work it was ok.

This beautiful home has been thoughtfully and lovingly renovated for the comfort of those who reside there. Any wish a guest may have has been anticipated. I loved the peacefulness of the setting, the wonderful quirkiness of the location, the authentic charm of the rooms, the 4 star breakfast, and the sincere hospitality. I wish there were more places like this.

It was a wonderful stay in every way.
