Very good location - short walk away from la rambla and Gothic quarter. The reception staff were welcoming and checked us in swiftly. The room was spacious and clean, decent fresh breakfast variety.

There was one porter staff member in particular with the name of 'Oriel' that ruined the whole experience here - he was very rude at all times the way he spoke to my group and kept on asking every time he saw us come in and out of the hotel if we are guests here. This was embarrassing and humiliating as he would shout and stare angrily when asking this and create a scene. He wasn't like this with other guests and no other staff member did this. If you're thinking of staying here and you have brown skin do not bother staying here!

The hotel is very close to play de Cataluna and ramblas. We got a big family room on the ground floor. WiFi was very good. Swimming pool available. Room was big with a big bathroom.

The additional bed was in the sofa, we would have expected a small additional bed. No enough covers on the bed. The price is quite high compared to the quality of the room

It had good facilities and was very clean. The food was good and refreshments were reasonably priced. The rooms were a generous size and most of the staff were friendly. The location was great, and the roof-top terrace and pool side areas were a delight.

That we were unable to have access to the spa facilities as part of the price we paid, even if this had been access for an hour within our stay. Access to the pool and sauna were extras we had to pay for and I feel that one session should be pre-bookable and included in the price. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, however one manager was rude in their manner when dealing with our group - we weren't given the same level as respect as other guests. She had clearly made a judgment about us as a group and spoke to us with a condescending tone.

Our room was spacious, probably 50% larger than comparable hotels. The bathroom was huge with double sinks; walk-in shower was big enough for two. All fixtures and amenities are relatively new. Definitely a 4-star establishment. Located in the middle of busy area, next to restaurants and shops. Good value for the money.

Cold water drips from the overhead rain shower when the hand shower was turned on. Not good but not a big problem either. We just always used the rain shower. Note that the same problem happened with another hotel we stayed while in Spain. A better diverter?

Great location, able to walk to many places, yet not noisy for sleeping. Highly recommend Premium Terrace The Vanguard Room as was very roomy, huge bathroom, 2 double beds, great for friends & the view from our balcony was fabulous

There was confusion regarding trying to get breakfast early enough so we could have it before our tour. You have to book a box the night before, but reception said just ask the restaurant in the morning, which was no go, so we had to shovel breakfast in 5 to 10 minutes. An issue with a faulty power point seemed to be blamed on us by the older maintenance person, the younger guy was very helpful & understanding though. Suggest seating by the door for those waiting for a pick up

Breakfast was excellent - fresh squeezed orange juices, an expresso and cappuccino maker, ommlette station, fun pancake machine, and a huge variety of yogurts, granolas, breads, fruits, meats, croissants, and even wine. At the same time the breakfast was 'value for money' - we definitely got what we paid for! It was expensive to enjoy for the several days we were there. We loved having a pool - as did every other guest with children! My only suggestion is additional seating on the pool deck, and extended hours past 8 pm, especially in summer when the sunset is later. Also, amazed that more people did not visit the roof deck! Great views and seating. A mini oasis!

Honestly, we have few complaints! It's a clean, beautiful hotel that is central to most transportation and Las Ramblas. We will stay at a Catalonia property, again.

The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The beds are super comfy too. We had a family room with two huge beds - much better than a lot of hotels where the kids are on an uncomfortable sofa bed. It was so nice to have a pool and pool bar. A lot of city hotels have small rooftop plunge pools but the pool was a decent size and the sun beds were very comfortable. The staff at the pool were really friendly and around to bring drinks to you by the pool or you could sit at one of the tables under the shade. The location was really central, a short walk from las ramblas but although it was so central the soundproofing was excellent and there was no noise at night.

The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is so good!!, the fresh juices each morning were amazing! The pool is good also (Hard to get a lounge bed but it’s peak season so understandable) Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had!

The lady who checked me in didn’t have the best patience. I just lost a key card in the taxi I came in and was feeling overwhelmed I felt rushed by her to pay for the accommodation while in the mix of trying to figure out which key card I dropped then trying to activate a different card . You intimidated me. Be more kind, the rest of the staff were lovely.

Breakfast was great. Pool area great with nice sunbeds, lounge area with free towels. Location great! Staff was nice.

Our room (a family room for 4) was good, but the interior was not for a 4 star hotel, but it was acceptable. Maybe the double rooms are more modern. However quite good space in the room and bathroom was modern. The long pillows (same pillow for 2 persons) was not comfortable. Bedsofa was ok, but could be better.
