- the room has been recently renovated - there is heating and perfect hot water (it starts to boil as soon as you turn it on, perfect pressure) - the room was cleaned very well; it was just great! - a good mattress of medium hardness - the room has a mini fridge and a safe - a balcony there is a separate kitchen with tea/coffee, a kettle, and a microwave important for Barcelona (nothing was missing, we felt safe)
- there is road repair going on right under the windows, it is done only during the day, so if you need silence in the room during the day - it will be difficult - at night for fresh air and ventilation we opened the balcony door and the first half of the night it is noisy under the windows. people are walking, cars and mopeds are making noise

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I'm extremely grateful for them. I've had very noisy neighbours for one day (the walls are pretty thin), but a woman at the reception said that I can go and tell her if anything like this happens. My room was at the end of the hall, and the hall itself looked very cozy. The room was cleaned every day, which was a pleasant surprise. There's no kitchen, just a common room with teapot and a microwave, but for me it was enough. Even though the streets nearby are still under conctruction, I didn't hear a thing inside.
The room was pretty cold, it was fine at night because the heating system starts working in the evening. But in the morning and throughout the day the floor was very cold, so it felt pretty chilly in the room.

The rooms are very clean, and towels are changed frequently. The staff at the reception is friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to leave our luggage in a special room before our departure and helped with many little things. We stayed in both a room with a private bathroom and one with a shared bathroom. Surprisingly, we liked the shared bathroom more because it was very spacious. Once again, the cleanliness of the hostel is outstanding, and our group was really impressed. The location is also great, with plenty of affordable shops nearby, as well as vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't miss the delicious chicken empanadas and tuna at the nearby café. If I’m ever in Barcelona again, I’ll definitely stay here. The hostel is close to a metro station, and there’s a bus stop that takes you directly to the beach.

The hostal is clean, staff is very friendly and registration works 24 hours. We had shared bathroom right infront of our room and couple more down the hall, it was very clean and convenient. We almost didn't encounter other guests, so bathroom felt like a private one. Also there is a sink right in the room, so you don't have to go to bathroom to brush teeth or wash hands. There was an elevator that you can use, so no need to carry your bags upstairs. It is close to the metro and it was convenient to go to the center from there.
The kitchen is lacking basic kitchenware. Although we didn't eat inside a lot, once needed a knife for our food and haven't found it there.

We liked the location of this hostel, very closed of a metro station but also at a walking distance from known landmarks and other central city locations. The room was clean, it had a good size. On the floor there was a small facility for preparing some tea. We received some good recommandations for restaurants.
A little bit noisy outside, our room faced a busy street. It would have been useful to have some cutlery like spoon and fork. The TV didn't seem to work but we didn't need it anyway.

We loved our stay at the hostel, especially the balcony where we enjoyed our evening coffee. The hostel is charming, with a fantastic location. There are plenty of bus and metro options for getting around, but we often walked to La Rambla, the beach, and the port because they were so close. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us find the best food and beaches. They even provided detailed information about bus and metro transfers, including the bus numbers. Overall, it's a wonderful place and great value for money. If we ever visit Barcelona again, we will definitely stay at Hostal Apolo 😊

Stayed here for 3 nights in q single room with shared bathroom. In two of the nights I didn’t hear any noise, on the 3rd listened to a bit, but nothing very loud, so I would say it has good enough isolation. It has 3 complete bathrooms. I didn’t had to wait for the toilet any time. The room has a sink, which helps a lot with drinking and brushing your teeth. The b d was comfy and the room had a fridge which was awesome. Also there was a microwave and water boilers in a common area, really cool. Would for certainly return. Has two metro lines close by and a big supermarket
Maybe there can be improvements in the noise isolation between rooms, I heard a bit of noise on the 3rd night from other room, but as I asked the person to reduce the tv volume it improved, but it wasn't that high so it might be possible to improve this.

Beautifully clean tall and airy basic room with a sink, fan, small tv, safe and balcony. Hotel-style bathroom directly across the hall. Fantastic shower. Helpful staff. Nearby Lidl supermarket. Small microwave and kettle area - bring plate & cutlery! Try one of the nearby 365 cafes for breakfast or sandwiches. Good transport links but metro system has MANY stairs, but there is a lift at Para-lel if you can find it. Not far from a great graffiti strewn skateboard area! Close to Port but too close for a taxi! there is a 3euro bus from the quay to your cruise ship - well worth it. Walking distance to La Ramblas, but some less nice streets but still seem safe in the day.
Outside street area is noisy and slightly whifffy drains. Neighbours banging doors on arrival were annoying. NOTE... this building does not look like a hostel. Look carefully on google and you are looking for a small button on the bottom of the intercom of a residential building with the Hostel name on it!!!

Usually “hostal” is associated with a frat house type but this one is really, really not even close to that. Yes, the bathroom is shared but it’s individual/single bathroom/shower. 3 separate ones for the floor. Always clean, air fresheners, toiletries. Rooms are small but i need just a bed so im not fussed about empty tables and extra chairs. Mini fridge was a bonus. Cleaning staff tidied the room while we were out and about which we didn’t expect at a Hostal. Reception provided hairdryer and help with any other inquiries we were having. Definitely recommend.

In walking distance to the Rambla and close to the metro as well. We walked almost everywhere except to the bunkers and airport. Room and bathroom was nice and clean - and was also cleaned every day. Nice and private space if you're basically just looking for a place to sleep and expect to spend most of your days exploring the city (which we did). Staff is so nice and helpful!
If you're looking for a hostel with the purpose of meeting people this might not be the right place. There are no common rooms to hang out, and people therefore keep to themselves. You can hear almost everything going on in the hallway which meant that we often woke up during the nights when people returned.
