The hotel entrance is so spacious and decorated nicely. The reception staff are very helpful about everything. They even let us check-in early. Rooms are spacious and clean and have everything you need. The breakfast has a good selection of savoury and sweet spread.

They’re very strict about their breakfast service. I was sitting outside the restaurant working and was going to have my breakfast when my friend woke up and joined me. I just wanted to pop over and grab an orange juice and they didn’t let me have it. That was very odd, why make a customer upset over a glass of orange juice?!

I recommend the ILUNION hotel in Barcelona. For given price it has been great value. You can walk to beach and to Porto Olympic as well as to the City Centre. Online check-in has been easy. We have had the superior or junior suite with spacious balcony on the 7th floor. Room and balcony have been spacious with very nice views of the city and sea. Room felt luxurious, but for reasonable price. We have had perfect clean room every day and some of the complimentary drinks. The breakfast has been fabulous, many choice including Jamon iberico. Wi-fi has been stable and super-fast. I would recommend this hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I choose it because of its proximity to the sea and the value for money. On the plus side, the rooms are quite clean and spacious, the breakfast is quite tasty, I'd also like to mention that the à la carte menu has very tasty steaks and red wine (especially considering the price, it's super!).

For my second trip, I chose the same type of room as last time, but the room was smaller than the first time! I didn't understand why. I also note that the air conditioner in the room is very old, noisy and poorly working, so I had to open the window, but the weather is not hot in March. Also, during my week in the hotel, I never managed to visit the roof with the pool. The door to the roof was just closed all the time, the staff said it was because of the weather conditions.

We had a really great stay! The staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful throughout – made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The service was excellent. The location is also a big plus – there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the metro station is just a few minutes away on foot, which made it super easy to get around the city. The beach is also nearby, which was a great bonus for relaxing during the day. Right behind the hotel, there’s a beautiful little street with lots of restaurants, shops, and even an Irish pub. It was perfect for relaxed evenings after a day out. Would honestly stay here again. Everything was smooth, convenient, and comfortable – great experience overall!

Everything was amazing. First, let’s start with the hotel itself. It is amazing! Everything is modern, everything is very nicely organized. It is located 5 minutes from the metro station which was very important for us because we wanted to see as much as possible of Barcelona. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but only a minute from the tourist street with many shops and supermarkets, and five minutes from the beach, so we loved it. The staff cleaned our room every day and we got clean towels every day. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

We liked everything, but maybe the only thing that we weren’t really happy with were the pillows, they were kinda weird haha.

Location is a bit away from central tourist sites about an hours walk from things you'd like to visit however it is along the route of one of the tour operators and also has a bus stop nearby which we didn't use. The room was quite spacious and had almost everything we wanted except for an iron but that's no big deal. The beds were pretty comfortable and we had a decent nights sleep. The rooms were pretty quiet even though we were near the lift we didn't really hear much outside noise. It was also pretty close to the beach about a 5-10mins walk away. There were bikes available to hire from the hotel as well if that's what you prefer for travelling around barcelona.

We didn't select breakfast included in our booking so paying on the days we wanted breakfast felt a bit pricey at 15 euros per person per day. Having said that the breakfast offering was pretty ok with a mixture of pastries and cakes, yogurts, fruits, cereal, coffee, scrambled eggs and baked beans.

Booked for a last-minute travel, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Very easy to reach and very well connected thanks to public transport (bus and metro). The room was bigger than it seemed from the pictures, and the bathroom was also significantly bigger than expected. Everything was clean, we got our towels changed when indicated, and the bed made. Pillows and mattress were also relatively comfortable, and the big dark curtains kept the light away properly for a good sleep in the morning too. We went to the roof to check out the pool too, and while it was too cold to use, it looked really cool. We did not have breakfast included, so cannot comment on that.

The room was quite hot, and the ventilation did not really work, so we usually turned it off entirely. It wasn't really clear whether heating was on and the thermostat wasn't easy to understand. We had to keep the windows open while in the bedroom cause it was really hot, but the fresh weather helped and in the end, the night sleep was okay.

Very large comfortable bed for two people. Clean room. Cleaner came in every day. Fridge in room was very useful. Stayed there over the Christmas period visiting family. Didn’t have breakfast option but did use the ‘ Too good to go’ app for breakfast collection one morning and it was really good. I would do that again. Lovely lounge area and big screen for football games for my husband to watch on. Lovely and warm in communal areas and the room, bearing in mind it was winter and it was cold outside. We also loved the bath which filled up really quickly and the water was very hot. Shower was also very powerful which was great. Bath is a little bit slippery for older people but a nice size. All in all a really good stay and very reasonably priced .

We don’t think the air conditioning was very effective , as even when we had it on, it was still a little too warm at night.

I loved this hotel. I came to Barcelona for a mother and daughter trip with my 10 year old daughter, and we enjoyed our stay. There's a taxi bay right outside the hotel, and a row of taxi stands to the right as well. You can either holler for a taxi with a green light on or use uber. Uber can take some time to come (15-25 minute wait). We checked-in online a couple of days before, so we spent less than 5 minutes at the reception in the hotel when picking up our room key and paying the city tax. The staff are lovely and friendly. Our room was on the 6th floor, the views weren't much but the room was lovely and big for a standard double room. Even the bed was big. The breakfast was lovely (full English breakfast), the location is good, and we felt very safe - even at night. There is a small convenience store about 4 minute walk away. On our last day, we checked out at 12pm, but our flight wasn't until 6.10pm. The hotel stored our luggage, free of charge. Would honestly stay here again, and I have already started recommending this place to my friends.

Although the location is good, the nearest metro is about 10 minute walk away. Not really a complaint, but I'm from inner London, where the max I would usually walk is 3 minutes. Nevertheless there are bus stops nearby. Would still stay here again.

Had two interconnected rooms that were pretty comfortable and clean. Nice breakfasts in a cosy hotel restaurant area. Kind service. Also the location is good, very close to the beach and restaurants; pretty good connection with the city (busses and metro).

All good, but since travelling with kids I missed a bit option to use Netflix or other streaming apps on the TV in the room (1 device had no smart TV, second seemed to have this feature blocked).
