You should really trust the good score of this hotel, it`s 100% true. 1. Very modern, well-thought and cozy at the same time 2. Comfortable and big bed with amazing cotton sheets 3. Spotless cleaning, good quality toiletries, high-end ventilation system, sound - proofed balcony doors, awsome shower space 4. Helpfull and friendly staff, luggage room 5. The happy hour is a plus, as well as the terrace 6. They give you a voucher of 20% discount for some restaurants near by; I recommend Tapa Tapa and Oasis 7. Last but not least : Location location location. Close to everything that matters (4 stations - about 15 min with the bus from the airport)

This hotel was absolutely brilliant. We booked a city view room which was definitely worth it. It was a decent size with a huge comfy bed and also a huge shower. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. They recommended ways to get from the airport to the hotel. At our request they also booked us a taxi to take us back to the airport which came right up to the hotel. The location is also brilliant. The area feels really safe and there’s loads of restaurants, bars and shops all around the area. Despite being in a popular location, you cannot hear anything in your room at night time. There is also a nice terrace to sit on outside and the hotel even provided wine and snacks from 18:00 until 20:00 each evening.

The location is fantastic , the view from our bedroom was exceptional we stayed at one of " Habitacion Superior Paseo Garcia" , the hotel lounge for free time with coffee,teas and some muffins and the happy hour wine was a plus , the minimalist distribution of our bedroom was very practical.They use smells to differentiate the floors or the hotel zones ...an experience

Everything! Great walkable location in Barcelona with easy access to the metro, espresso machine in room with pretty cups and saucers, bottled water in room and flavored waters in the lobby & lounge, large window & little balcony, lovely decor, perfect lighting in the room, friendly staff, calm and well-thought-out environment, attention to detail, lounge area, easy-to-use safe, well-placed individual closets and desk. It was one of our all-time favorite hotel stays.

There was nothing we disliked

Excellent location - on Blvd. de Gracia (similar to Champs Elysees in Paris) with lots of great restaurants and shops, as well as immediate access to public transportation. The hotel provides guests with a card that offers 20% off to six good restaurants in the area - we used it every night and were not disappointed. Minutes away from two of the most beautiful buildings in Barcelona (Casa Batlló and Casa Mila) as well as the lively Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla. Despite facing a busy street, the very well insulated windows ensure a quiet ambiance inside the room. A welcome area on the first floor invites guests to enjoy a great selection of coffee pods, wines, doughnuts, cookies, chips and nuts, while browsing the many wonderful books on display, all along enjoying the unique smells produced by the many essential oils carefully placed throughout the hotel. If that wasn't enough - a super comfortable patio (very well lit during the night) facing the suite of restaurants known as El Nacional, provides comfort and allows for perfect relaxation any time of the day. Bottled water and Nespresso pods are replenished each morning, making the process of getting ready for the day so much easier. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in throughout our entire trip (we stopped in Paris, Loire Valley and Bordeaux before Barcelona). Finally, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The one thing we would have liked to have in our room was a fridge (even a small one), however they were more than happy to store our stuff in theirs, at the reception.

Our room face the main avenue and it was wonderful to step into the balcony and enjoy the view. We took the Metro (a block away) to visit Stiges, Vilanova i la Geltru and Montserrat. Very easy and everyone was very helpful. We walked to La Sagrada Familia, it was a 20 minute walk. Casa Batllo is less than a block away and it was beautiful. The Gothic quarters are an 11 minute walk. Las Ramblas are a block away. We had breakfast at Oasis in the corner every day. El Nacional (food court) is right next door. We enjoyed happy hour at the lounge as often as we could. The Hop on and Hop off bus has a stop a block away. The room was perfect, bed was comfortable, shower was roomy. The staff was very helpful.

Everything This is our 2nd time staying here and we intend to stay at this hotel whenever we visit Barcelona and we will recommend it to others

Everything went well at Praktik Essens. Perfect location in the center of Barcelona, near Metro and buses as well as walking distance to multiple desired destinations in the city. The room was fabulous- large size, very comfortable king bed, excellent shower with no end of hot water, daily cleaning of the room, lovely staff at the front desk always friendly and helpful. The price of our room was, I'd say, mid-range, but the quality was first-rate.

Tiny quibbles- no boxes of tissues in the room. The "happy hour" in the nice lounge included wine, yes, and excellent coffee (which was always available), but nothing more than nuts and chips. However, the hotel included a discount for guests at the better than decent restaurant/bar right next door.
