We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Barcelona! The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we got a great night's sleep every night. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the city, with fantastic restaurants just a short walk away. Our room exceeded our expectations in every way. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and provided all the comforts we could have asked for. The staff were professional, friendly, and always available to assist with a smile. Whether it was arranging taxis, providing helpful information, or offering great suggestions, they made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop bar together with the others in the area were a highlight, with a delightful ambiance perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We also loved the food at the rooftop bars, which had unique twists on traditional Spanish dishes—simply delicious! We would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. It was truly an unforgettable experience! We will treasure the memories for a lifetime.

The hotel provides ear plugs as the walls are thin and the music from the surrounding night life can be heard.

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. No request was too much trouble and they went out of their way to facilitate. Location is excellent as the Universidad Metro is located right outside and is well connected for public transportation. My trip needed visiting to areas all over Barcelona, and I had no problems reaching my destinations in a timely manner. Despite the busy area, I had no issues sleeping as windows and closed shutters blocked outside city nightlife noise. Bed was comfortable, room surprisingly spacious with a decent en suite bathroom. Room was spotlessly clean. Hotel is in an older building, but has two lifts to all floors, and decor is in keeping with the bohemian feel of the area. Added bonus of the rooftop bar and restaurant. Stunning views across the plaza and rooftops of the city.

Amenities in the room were incomplete, no creamer for coffee, old nescafe packets, dusty and a bit shabby in spots. Luckily there was airco since the room was stuffy, and there was too much traffic noise to keep the window open.

- Breakfast (16€ for a cheese toast and fruit, no eggs, no pancakes, nomarmalade). Tried it once on 1st day only - Shower facilities (did not work properly for 3 days, although staff did their best to accommodate us by letting us use other empty rooms to shower in) - No slippers or shower caps - Badly designed washbasin, water goes everywhere (I feel they could have complemented the 1 breakfast we had, considering the shower problems we had for so many days)

Constant issues with the elevators. I understand, as i live in a large condo complex, that stuff happens and parts are not readily available, but at times both elevators were out. The thermostat in the room seemed to be out of calibration. At 23 C it sometimes ran all day or it paused, but it seemed the room was always cold unless i turned off the thermostat.

The hotel's location is excellent — very close to all the main attractions and right next to the metro, making it super convenient. The breakfast was great, with a good variety of options to choose from. The terrace is a standout feature, offering fantastic views of the city and University Square. The restaurant on the 6th floor is a nice addition, with good ambiance and a decent menu (although not all dishes lived up to the descriptions).

The room lacks storage space — there’s nowhere to properly unpack or store belongings. The placement of power outlets is not well thought out. The shower area doesn’t drain well, leaving water standing on the floor. The room was quite cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable. The overall equipment and furniture in the room are very minimalistic and feel overly basic.
