We love to relax with a family in Spain and this time we chose Andalusia.When choosing a hotel we were guided by proximity to the sea, comfortable accommodation and reviews of guests. Our apartments in Sahara Sunset exceeded our expectations! Well-equipped kitchen with all necessary accessories, including washing machine, oven, dishwasher and filtered drinking water, spacious terrace with sun beds and table with chairs, spacious living room and two bedrooms, two TVs with USB connection. Friendly staff at reception and throughout the hotel, lovely pools, sunny weather contributed to wonderful holidays for 2 weeks. The only thing is that there are no lifts in this hotel, so we had to go up and down each time on the steps (we had 40 of them!) But we knew about it when ordering the apartments and asked for a higher floor. So we had extra free fitness every day. There are beautiful places for walks in Benalmadena itself, and there is also the possibility to get to Malaga on the Nr.110 bus without problems. Very cheap fare - 0,45 EUR per trip (you need to buy tickets in advance in Tabacos). We booked an excursion to Ronda in advance and were very pleased with it. In short, the holidays was wonderful !

Hotel facilities all very good, clean and comfortable. It was great to see the pool life guards clearing away towels on reserved sunbeds that no one was actually sitting on! There was also a very loud/drunk group of lads at the hotel that the manager was very prompt to address. Great location very close to the beach, restaurants and Paloma Park. Room had a very well equipped kitchen with a washing machine.

Restaurant service was incredibly slow that put us off going there. Pool water was freezing even on a 26 degrees day and not many people using it. Sadly the indoor pool facilities were used more!

Everything! Surrounded by high rise apartment blocks and hotels, the beautiful low rise typical spanish style Sahara Sunset complex is an oasis in which to relax and enjoy your time in Benalmadena. The apartment itself was also beautiful, modern and clean with everything you could need, the kitchen was especially well equipped...it even had mugs so we could have a decent sized cup of tea! Good location too, stones throw from beach, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Lovely walk along the sea front board walk (about 30 mins) to marina where there are more shops, bars and restaurants. Shout out to the amazing John in Scanlons Irish bar very near by if you stay at Sahara Sunset, he is an amazing host, makes everyone feel so welcome, best bar man in Benalmadena so give him a visit if you stay here!

Pool bar was very overpriced...9 euro for two 7Ups?! They didnt even come from a can, or bottles, just a mixer gun! Beds are also quite firm, we would rather softer beds, so we did not sleep brilliantly, but this is a personal thing.

The apartment was huge and really modern. definitely the nicest I’ve stayed in in Spain. 2 bedrooms with a king bed in one. huge balcony. the kitchen had everything you could need including kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, sponges and cloths. we stayed the last week of March so it wasn’t peak time, still got sun beds. everywhere was immaculate. staff used WhatsApp so could message them with any questions and requests. fresh pastries in the morning in the on site supermarket were a bonus. taxis were always available. apartments are directly opposite the beach. we paid €330 end of March for 3 nights, unfortunately it was double that when I checked with reception to book the same time next year :(

The location just wasn’t ideal for us. there wasn’t much around and too long to walk to the strip of cafes with 3 young kids. We prefer to be closer to Puerto Marina for all the nice restaurants and shops, so we usually stay in Torremolinos. taxi was less than €6 down to there, but that would add up for a week or so.

Everything, we arrived early and was able to leave our luggage and sit by the pool until the apartment was ready. Carolyn on reception was so helpful and made sure we got the best apartment with the best sea view that I had previously requested in an email When our apartment was ready the wonderful porter helped us with our luggage My granddaughter used the spa facilities which she said were really good There is a roof terrace with sunbeds and amazing views The apartment exceeded our expectations, lovely decor and modern kitchen and bathroom The sofa bed was more like a king size than your average sofa bed and so easy to pull out and put away The beach is a short distance across the road, there is an onsite supermarket and many shops and restaurants close by Selwo Marina is close and worth a visit to see the dolphins, parrots, penguins and other animals Paloma Park is just also just 5 minutes walk away I would highly recommend staying at the Sahara Sunset

There is nothing that I did not like

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The complex is very environmentally friendly, providing the tap for filtered water made a huge difference to our holiday, no lugging bottles of water around the place. the pool's area were always clean, both were lovely and the beds were so comfortable and plentiful. Having the shop on site was so convenient and reasonably priced. The pool restaurant had lovely food during the day and evening and the breakfast was excellent every day.

A better system for swapping the towels and letting people know when booking, that towels are available to rent.

Apartament was clean and specious, with very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and possibility to enter the property with multiple entries using magnetic card. Free parking on the street. Close to the beach, with in-house store and restaurant.

Additional hidden-costs I was not aware of, like e.g. to use indoor pool you have to pay additional 10EUR per day per apartment (only for days you want to go there). Moreover to use it you have to use swimming caps - even if you are bold (to be bought at reception for 2EUR). Kids are not allowed use the hot tub. Travelling at the end of October indoor pool and those rules were disappointing. View on the provided pictures for the room was far from the one we've got.

Apartment was very cute! Loved the large balcony and had several meals outside at the table. There was a coffee machine and kettle along with coffee and tea. The kitchen had stainless steel pots and pans, dishes and everything necessary to prepare meals. The bed was extremely comfortable. Excellent location near the beach, Parque de Las Palomas, beach and marina restaurants, shops and groceries. Lots of pool and spa options available as well.

One issue we had was opening the slider...kept smashing fingers between the door we were opening and the window. It seems like the door and window may have been installed backwards! Everything else was great.

very clean apartment comfortable beds and good WI-FI for the kids. food at Casbah restaurant in the main area was exceptionally good and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

pool rules are a bit strict for kids not being allowed to even jump in. there are 2 pools so maybe make one of them more child friendly so they can have fun.

The location was close to the beach. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet room with a sea view and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the Royal Gardens block and had a view of the sea (bearing in mind its not beach front) and a view of the mountains. Everywhere within the complex, including the room was very clean. We only stayed for a week, but our apartment including the sheets and towels were cleaned twice. The kitchen was well equipped and included washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The pool was nice, although cold in May. During our stay we went on the teleferico cable car up 2,500ft to breath taking views. This is cheaper if you pre-book online. We also took a boat trip from Benalmadena marina for 15 euros p/p. The Marina is a pleasant walk from the apartment, with nice shops.

The only downside of having a quiet room with a view was the amount of stairs to our apartment, 40 in total to the 3rd floor.
