Definitely recommended. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't be much better hospitality-wise. The bed was comfy. Shower was hot. Close to a few local restaurants and bars which were good. Great location, just out of the hustle and bustle of the Old Town - so quiet at night. But easy to walk there in 5 mins. Close to the beach, too.

Nothing major, but if I were to nit-pick... A tiny bit expensive for a basic room perhaps. The balcony is not eally a functional space where you can sit with a glass of wine or coffee etc. Quite typical for Spainish city architecture, but still, thought it might be a bit better. Also the sea view is blocked by the huge conference centre on the other side of the road. Suggest they put proper soap dispenser in the shower, not use these tiny disposable bottles of shower gel.

Pension Kursaal is right at the doorstep of the best neighborhood in San Sebastian. Right across the street from the convention center, great Pintxos establishments on the street and great cafes. The staff was friendly and beyond helpful when I needed to get a taxi, the staff kept me informed and helped me out. Every morning it was lovely to be greeted by them and they definitely are very sweet ladies! Give them all a raise! As a solo female traveller I highly recommend. I had a clean room, the size was pretty great, the beds were comfy. The room felt private, and the bathroom/shower was pretty nice!

You can hear a bit of the noise in the hallway, but it wasn't bad. If you are sensitive to hearing things this may bother you but I didn't really have a problem.

The room was spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable. Shower & bathroom perfectly adequate and again spotlessly clean. The reception service is excellent. We got really helpful guidance about San Sebastián from the lady on reception. The location is ideal. A short walk across the bridge to get to the Old Town. 15 min walk to the main bus station and the beautiful Zurriola beach 2 mins away. Highly recommended

There was nothing we disliked. We chose Pension Kursaal as a friend had recommended it. It is a straightforward, clean Pension in a great location

The location couldn't be better. Really friendly and helpful staff. Relatively big room and bathroom. Very clean. We really appreciated the AC, since the room got quite humid, especially with wet beach towels and swimming clothes hanging around all the time.

My main concern was the bed, which had a tempur-like mattress which isn't my thing. This comes down to personal taste though. Additionally, the only window had frosted glass and was facing a small inner yard, which made the room feel a bit dark and enclosed. This wasn't a big issue for us.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pension Kursaal and would recommend it to others. The location is excellent, the staff are exceptional, and the room was very comfortable. On booking in we were provided with a very good map and a description of recommended restaurants and places to go which was very helpful. Parking was convenient although it would have been good to know beforehand exactly what the process was for parking (i.e. exactly where). On checking in this was clearly explained. An excellent place to stay. Thank you.

Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds, located near cafes and restaurants in same street, just over bridge from old town, 3 mins to surf beach. Clear instructions on how to access property out of reception hours. Fun to use old lift. Kettle available for free tea/coffee but only until 9pm! Tourist info provided.

Exterior room was noisy from outside activity, but easily overcome by closing windows and using aircon. San Sebastián is expensive, so paid more than usual.

The manager was very friendly and flexible. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable, with a straightforward design and a very spacious bathroom.

We have no complaints, it was an ideal stay! We struggled with the antique elevator at first, but figured it out with the help of a passerby. Our only suggestion would be to have a way to get coffee early; our last day we departed early, before the coffee service was ready, and we would have appreciated being able to caffeinate.

Pension located on first floor of a large building. Spacious room with fridge. Your key card gives you access to the building and room at every moment of the day, so very flexible to go in and out as you like. Location near one of the beaches and parking garage within 100 meters. It’s a short walk to the old town where all the pinxtos bars are. It’s also near Monte Urgull that gives you a bit of history and once at the top a spectacular view over the city.

This place is amazing. What more can one ask for? To begin, they have a lovely vintage lift to help with heavy bags. Next - they have the most welcoming of staff I have ever encountered in all my travels - she was AMAZING and so so helpful - I honestly would give 10 only for her service and time, she was amazing and deserves a pay rise!. However, theres more, my room was in a great location of Kursaal - facing the main street, and had a beautiful balcony. It wasn't that noisy yet it was the busiest time during the festival season and it still was really quiet. The room was spotlessly clean and very nice to stay in for a few days! - I would in a heart beat book to stay at this hotel at any cost in the future! I had a wonderful time thanks to the receptionist and this lovely located room. Totally recommend staying here - its well worth it! Great facilities at your fingertips, the restaurants, the beach, the old town, the train and bus station, the peace - its incredible

Nothing - The room was perfect.

The staff was incredible. Leire Helped with everything we needed and gave us many many good recommendations inside San Sebastian and in other cities. The room was comfortable and clean, and the place provided complimentary coffee, tea and water when we arrived which was very nice. The location is a few short minutes of walk from the old city, both very central and quite. There are also nice shops and restaurants on the street of the hotel itself.
