Simple but clean, bright room with a good size bed. I liked the coffee corner in the hall. The staff was so nice and helpful as well. The cute little balcony with evening sun was lovely. And the location was perfect, walking distance to everything.

The main reason I’m not giving this pension the highest rating is due to the noise. The pension is situated at a rather loud square, and also from inside you could hear the doors banging and people getting coffee in the hall. Luckily we brought earplugs so it wasn’t a big issue, but just good to take into account.

This was really a wonderful stay… In the days before arrival, the team was super communicative, with several messages describing everything you need to know before arrival, which was really great… Each of the staffs we interacted with were so lovely, very kind and welcoming, great hospitality by very charming hosts… The location is perfect, right near the old town and steps away from the bus system that can take you anywhere. The room was very clean and very modern, with everything in like-new and working condition… The bed was comfy and the shower was especially great… and there’s a Juliette balcony overlooking the pedestrian area below.. Really enjoyed the stay here and would recommend to anyone

The property is very well located right in the heart of the old city center. This means you can just reach all the nice places nearby like restaurants and other touristy hotspots in few minutes by foot. The room is very big and it offers a space for eating with cutlery and plates. Really liked the fact that there is free coffee and tea as many times as you wish and also snacks available to grab. The place was also very nice and quiet.

We had a double bed but we had two separate duvets for single beds. We asked for a double bed duvet but they don’t have any. This made the sleeping a little bit uncomfortable. Rest was perfect!

The location is spot on! If you want to be in the heart of the old town, with access to all the most popular pintxos bars, restaurants and the beach. This neighborhood is exactly where you should stay! The room was clean and looked newly furbished. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful whenever needed!

The rooms are basic and the sound proofing is not great, you tend to hear the slightest noise outside, both in the corridor and streets too. But I could overlook that given how great the location is and is manageable for a few nights.

Perfectly located between the old town, new town and beach. Room wasn’t that large but sufficient for our needs, had a comfortable sleep. Water pressure had a lot of force! Balcony overlooked the main strip. Staff were cheerful and welcoming. Would return.

Water pressure blew the skin from my daughter’s chest, leaving her with sore red marks. The sink took ages to drain. The perfect location in the city centre but that also brings noise… we were woken at 4am and 5am Sunday morning by the revellers shouting on the main strip.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room had everything one would need, including a fridge. WiFi was very good and the room was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea were also provided.

In many ways the location was perfect - very close to the old town, the beaches and the centre. However, we opted for a more expensive room with a balcony that ironically opened up onto the noisiest of squares. Every night at around 2.00am people could be heard in the square sometimes until 4.00am and then at around 6.00am there were the sounds of the council workers cleaning the streets and collecting the rubbish. Even with the windows shut [not possible given the temperatures] you would still hear the noise. So, unless you want to join the party, avoid these rooms if you can.

The communication regarding check in, and how to find the accommodation was clear, specific, and super helpful. In an incredible location, short walk to the beach, right in the old town near all the incredible pintxo bars. Everything you could need just at your doorstep. Staff were SO lovely and helpful. Free coffee and tea in the room were a treat. They gave us a free upgrade to a very large room, which after a few weeks of travel in small hotel rooms was absolutely incredible. Street noise wasn’t really an issue for us - we found the closed balcony doors blocked out most of the noise on the street. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need for a quick meal, etc. Beds were super comfy. Everything was sparkling clean. A/C worked well (one in bedroom and one in the living room). Elevator was handy for carrying up our luggage.

There was no fan in the shower so it got hot and humid quickly, no big deal though. Overall, this place was great! Would def stay again.

My room was simply decorated and had a very calm atmosphere which I really appreciated as I was not feeling well. I was able to sleep and rest throughout the day to recuperate myself. The sound proofing inside the pension is not very good as the floors creaked and the doors created a sort of suction vaccum which rattle my room door every time someone else opens their doors. Normally I would have been very annoyed by this. But the rest of of positives more than make up for the faults. The only grumble I would have is that the WiFi is very patchy and my connection kept stalling. The TV reception in my room was also not great and it also kep stalling. I was sick so this was my only entertainment otherwise I would not have noticed. I LOVED the little touches like a plate and cultery in my room as it enabled me have my own food and fruits. The hot drink counter was wonderful as were the little cakes which you could help yourself. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to friends. Well done ladies!!!

The room had a little balcony overlooking a nice tree-filled square. It was simple, but very clean. The WiFi was good, the shower had a good pressure. The location was very central and felt safe. The receptionist was lovely.

The coffee machine which is placed in the hall for the guests to use was unfortunately loud enough to wake us up when people were making coffee at 7 in the mornings. The beds were not the most comfortable, I could occasionally feel a mattress spring under my ribs, otherwise a good night's sleep.

Pension Sarriegi was exceptionally clean, with comfy beds and good water pressure in the showers. Despite being on a main plaza, the doors to the balcony kept the sound out, and it was a relaxing place to spend a few days. The free coffee/tea was a very nice touch, and they even had a mini fridge, plates and cutlery in the room, (and microwave in the common space). The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. A lovely place to stay and unwind while visiting San Sebastián!

Without the air conditioning on, the room felt a bit humid. But, with the AC on, it was quite comfortable!
