I dislike the self-check in process. i don’t think my parents would have known what to do. I also didn’t like how it wasn’t until after we checked out of the hotel and in a different part of town did they mention that we still had the tax to pay. It was an easy process to pay but still something I had to think about. also, the pillows were really flat - great if this is your jam.

The place is self-managed, in the sense that you are given a code to get into the hotel and into your room, we only saw someone at reception once during our whole stay, but we didn't have any issues so we didn't really need to speak with anyone. We booked a double room, it was enormous, very high ceiling, super clean and also very quiet. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Es Castell, it's in a really good location and has everything you need.

The furniture was a little bit too essential, the wardrobe/bedside tables etc were quite small, my partner and I stayed there for 5 nights so we didn't need much storage, but a family/people with lots of clothes to hang would probably struggle.

it was exceptionally clean, and very friendly lady who ran the hotel, but only on occasions.. and all facilities in the room excellent, as well as the lift which was very useful at times. and very quiet which was good for sleep

personally I found the mattress a a bit too firm for my liking, and fine for just myself, but could have done with an extra pillow. clearly just a self check in functional hotel, so no food or drink, which is why I questioned value for money, but still of a fine quality

The room was rather dark, had to keep light on in bathroom to brighten room. Air con unit couldn’t shut off and not alter temperature or mode. Very small waste bin in bathroom and nothing in room. But considering we were on the ground floor and a fiesta going on the noise was minimal.

The room was lovely and clean. Had a little mini fridge which was handy. Easy to access with the card less keypad. Brilliant location!

The room was nice and clean, comfy bed, great working shower. All access are with codes so you dont need to worry about loosing the key or whatever. Its very close to the port with beautiful restaurants and places to eat.

The check-in was a disaster. I made a booking under my name, but my friend arrived before me. She wanted to drop the bags before the check-in time, but nobody was there. I tried to call like 5times - no answer whatsoever. Eventually my friend managed to get in contact but she was told that will receive a "Whatsapp" at 14:00. There was nobody able to asist until 14:30 besides a cleaning lady, trying to help, but of course, she isnt receptionist and her english wasnt good enough. Basically, do not arrive any earlier, because nobody is there and you can't even enter a building because you don't have the door pin.

We stayed here as our daughter had just had a baby in Mahón hospital & it was only a short drive away.

We would have liked tea & coffee making facilities but realise this would then put the price up.

Close to the airport which was perfect for the one night. Good value for money and the staff were lovely. Also liked that I could check in after hours with a code.

The new, clean and scented room was very minimalist. It was quite enough for an overnight stay. We didn't meet a single person.

The room is really very simply equipped and basic.
