Exceeded my expectations for a hostel. I had a room with a private bathroom. Room and bathroom were quite big and clean. Property had a lift which was great as i had luggage. Reception staff was amazing very helpful in getting to know Granada . I hadn't booked my tickets for Alhambra and was upset to find tickets were all sold out but the guy at reception can't remember his name was great he helped with getting a 72 hr Granada card that got me into Alhambra and other museums and also included some free transport tickets. Definitely recommend the stay.

The affordable and comfortable stay in Granada. The room was clean, with reliable hot water and an effective air conditioner. Although my stay was quiet, it likely varies depending on neighboring guests. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Its location is ideal—close to the city center and about a 20-minute walk from the train station, making it convenient for exploring the area on foot. Perfect for a budget-friendly overnight stay!

It was a good location. A 20 minute walk to the train station in one direction and a much shorter walk to the major sights in the other direction.

The elevator is not very reliable. When I told management, they got very defensive and said that the elevator was working just fine. The problem was that other tenants on other floors were not closing the doors well. I don't want blame assessment; that does not fix the probem. The Sonia is (American style) on the 4th floor. I had to walk up to the fourth floor after a day of sightseeing. I'm in good shape despite my age, but what about the other people who are not in as good shape? If you have mobility problems, you might want to think twice before booking this place. There were about 3 steps leading up to the landing where the elevator is and there is no handrail there.

Great location - everything very close by. Bars and very good restaurants within a short walk.

The suite was located on the 6th floor, which made it quiet, but twice I had to walk the stairs to get to the room. Also, the WiFi/internet was extremely problematic. More on the It didn't/doesn't work as expected side. The staff will say, "It's because it is shared by many others." Basically, what that means is that it doesn't have the capacity to handle the hostal's needs. If you really need internet, you should provide your own via your cellphone Hotspotand NOT rely on the Hostal's.

The location is very central next to all amenities up on arrival i was greeted by Carlos he was amazing person he was very welcoming and i had a very good room it was all what i needed,clean shower, towels are provided, and housekeeping is available every day, i highly recommend hostal Sonia i would definitely come back

Great location, you can walk to all the most important monuments and the center of Granada. The room was very clean and the staff at the reception were always very cheerful and helpful.

Claustrophobic size of the toilet. There is no window in the room which only increases the feeling of being closed in. WiFi works but very poorly.

This was the first Hostal I have stayed in. I loved it. The stall was great. My room was nice size and clean. It had its own bathed with shower. Perfect location.

I can't name one bad thing about this place. If I ever visit this area in spain again, I will be booking here again

The room was great, big and very quiet. Also the bathroom was quite big. It is located completely in the center of the city, 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. The staff was helpful and nearby you will find a mini market for the basic shopping you may need.

Very central. Near the Albaićin. Nice staff. Gets room service, freshens up each day. Had an en-suite. Nice balcony.

The bathrooms need a vent or window. There is a balcony window you can use to vent but you need to keep the bathroom door open. Can get noisy at night, but is this just Spain?

Location was good and it was clean. The staff were nice, helpful and polite.

It is a basic room. I guess Granada is an expensive city, I was surprise to find that room for the price I got. Just to compare, We went to a very nice 4* hotel in Cordoba cheaper than this hotel! But I guess it serves the purpose. The Bathroom was small and no window view. As we just used it to sleep it was ok, but I wouldn’t use it again.
