Friendly staff Clean, no frills close to local amenities and beach

Nothing could have been better it was a great hotel

The location was perfect, the cleanliness was excellent. We hadn't booked breakfast during our stay but on the first day we asked to pay for breakfast on entering the breakfast area and enjoyed our breakfast. The room was bright and airey with plenty of space and the choice of food on offer was reasonable. However the following morning when entering the breakfast room, firstly there was no staff member present at all and a very severe shortage of choice of food. Very limited pastries and no croissant's whatsoever ! This was despite it only being half way through the timed period for breakfast. At the time, there was not only no member of staff to assist, but no one on the nearby reception desk to query this with. This was disappointing but didn't detract from the enjoyment of both the overall quality and excellent location of your hotel. BREAKFAST dissapointing on second day (see comments)

The room was spotless and cleaned everyday. The breakfast whilst presenting as basic was fabulous. Fresh cakes, juice, teas and coffees and a selection of hot eggs and bacon as well as cereal, and continental options. I could not have asked for any more. The bar service was very good and reasonably priced. Location was perfect. Very close to the beach, shops and restaurants although at this time of year there was very little open in the evening.

I could not find anything to complain about. Fantastic, location and value for money.

The room was excellent with a balcony and sea view. We used a nearby supermarket to get breakfast and enjoyed it on the balcony. This is a 2 star hotel but the cleanliness was immaculate and the attention to servicing the room was excellent. It has an indoor swimming pool and cafe bar as well as a restaurant. The food was good value but there are lots of closeby restaurants to offer choice. The best feature was the location. A 3 minute walk straight onto the beach so it was easy to go between the beach and the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful so it made for a good stay. As well as the beach there was a fabulous park 10 minutes away that gave a beautiful walk to the port

This hotel provided excellent value for money but you should know there are some things that aren't here as a result. The TV was all in Spanish. Not unreasonable for a hotel in Spain but may affect some international travellers. It didn't bother us. There wasn't a kettle in the room so no tea for the British, however again easily dealt with. The cafe gave us hot water, teas and coffees that we took back to the room. There isn't a hairdryer in each room but you can borrow one from reception but have to take it back when you're finished. Considering the value and plus points these are minor points but worth knowing before you get there.

All the staff were so lovely, greeting you wherever our paths crossed. We had a great sea view from our room which was a lovely surprise. The bed was so comfortable and we slept really well. Room was at all times a great temperature. The location is fantastic, close to beach, shops, restaurants. Guardamar is a wonderful place to visit with lots to do and see. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't comment.

Very little to say in this bit. As with so many Good Value For Money Hotels the rooms could do with a bit of TLC but as I said totally expected and no way did that spoil a wonderful stay in the Hotel Guardamar. We loved everything about our stay.

The Hotel Guardamar is close to all facilities. Great breakfast. It's not too big, not loud and noisy. Cleaning was excellent, and the room was a good size and a pool, too. The staff were friendly and helpful . Would definitely visit again

There was nothing I didn't like. The pool was a bit cold but it was early in the season

The location is fabulous, with great views of the beach and very close to walk to lots of bars, restaurants, Mercadona supermarket, and other shops as well as the beautful sandy beaches and beach bars. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean; there is a very nice cafeteria/bar on the ground floor, and an inside pool/spa pool. The building is designed so every (good size patio) faces toward the beach. The room had a small refrigerator, and a lovely bathroom, with plenty of room for storage, and walking around the bed... very spacious.

It was a bit noisy; there is no road noise at all - it was mostly other guests yelling into their mobile phones whilst standing on the balcony, and then when our neighbours came home late and chatted outside in the corridor and then crashed around their room. I don't think there is much insulation! There is nothing the hotel could do about that type of noise. The only other tiny complaint - the toilet seat is not properly affixed and rattled.

Very good location, nice room, staff very friendly & good pool.

Wifi signal up & down, especially on balcony, this definitely could be improved. Soundproofing of room not very good, could constantly hear cleaners moving furniture around very loudly throughout the morning.

Great location short walk to beach. Restaurant, bar and pool. Lovely staff, nice rooms; we had a sea view.

Rooms were a little dated, and the breakfast was repetitive. We stayed for 5 nights, if it had been longer we would have very likely eaten breakfast elsewhere to break up the monotony.
