The best was the location - really near the Prado, other museums and great restaurants.

The stairs into the lobby and then again to go to the elevator. This required a bell person to carry your luggage even though it was on wheels. Then the bell boy pick up my heavy suitcase by the pull handle and swung it up in an arc up the stairs. I grabbed it from him, thankful that that the pull handle did not break off. Also, the room was too warm and the windows did not open but a crack.

Location Room View of fountain Kind and helpful staff - reception and concierge Beautiful grand lobby Large room with high ceilings and lots of mirrors Lovely welcome gift for friend's birthday Honored the 2pm late checkout as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member Great Japanese restaurant with fresh sushi

Elevators are outdated and small - also multiple elevator bays so confusing which ones to use Carpet had some stains No glass shower doors despite it being an expensive hotel - had curtains instead Only able to connect smartphone to WiFi - unable to connect laptop computer Lots of stairs in main entrance made carrying up heavy luggage cumbersome

Gorgeous hotel, it was like staying in our own luxurious, comfortable apartment. The works did not disturb us once, so don't be put off by the talk of renovations. The staff were so friendly and helpful, with a particular shout out to Alba. She was so accommodating upon check-in. If we come back to Madrid, it'll definitely be here we choose to stay!

My only minor dislike was the lack of probable soundproofing. Whilst there was hardly any external noise audible (despite being in such a central location), loud inconsiderate guests in the corridor outside (post 2am in some cases) sounded so loud to us in our room.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times last year so we very much the location and the comfort. This time we got a newly renovated room.

Unfortunately two restaurants located in the hotel closed (the sushi and the Chinese restaurants). The rooms facing the side or the main streets face a lot of noice, windows do not offer a lot of noice isolation. Housekeeping staff is not very polite ! When they knock on your door the door opens at the same time not leaving any time to respond !! Something which is unacceptable. All other staff is very friendly and helpful.

Interior is amazing, its like a real palace. Its close to the city centre, so you can walk to all the important sightseeing spots. Room was very spacious and amazing. Bathroom was also big with 2 sinks and all things you need were provided. Great inhouse restaurant with a separate bar area.

I suppose the downside would be that its a bit pricey, or at least it was for the dates that I booked it for.

A really good sleep right in the center of Madrid! We received a good welcome from the reception and all friendly staff gave us helpful tips about the Semana Santa procession viewable from our room - this turned out to be fantastic memorable experience for the kids and saved us a lot of time to enjoy the experience instead of exploring in the crowded area. And yes, breakfast buffet feels like ten stars!

The room is very small for three people but comfortable. We also had to ask for the extra bed instead of it being readily available when we checked in. Also, amenities given were for two instead of three.

The Westin Palace is a grand hotel in the heart of Madrid. The location is perfect for walking and enjoying most of the major sites in Madrid including the Prado Museum, the National Palace and some of the best shopping and restaurant neighborhoods. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful with a quick check in process, and the concierge is ready to help with whatever you need.

There was really nothing not to like.

The location was amazing and the hotel and room were luxurious.

The mini bar which was a mini fridge didn’t get cold. We informed the staff and were told it wasn’t supposed to get cold lol. although it was a mini refrigerator that have a knob to select how cold you wanted the refrigerator to be. Seemed like an excuse not to fix the mini bar fridge. Don’t select a room with a city view. You will be looking at another building. the photos on booking.com for this room are deceiving. you have a small window that only opens an inch instead of doors that open to a balcony.

Location is great. The hotel bar, i.e. coffee etc very bad and overpriced for the quality. Room is clean and comfortable, but windows were old, even looking to a side street, the room was very noisy all night long.

There may be a coffee machine in the room as the coffe in the bar was very cold and bad. Not suits to Wesrtin quality.

Great hotel with amazing amenities in a central location in Madrid

Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing maintenance and we were given a room close to where maintenance is happening and hence was noisy all day
