This fine hotel is located not far from the Airport but still @ a very quiet part of the coastline with a small beach in front and great pools ( one covered/heated ) and garden around . Gym . Very good massage for about 40/60 Euro . Great room cleaning service . On the beach there is even a small place to have lunch or early dinner in case you don't have booked the half-board option , which we did and enjoyed a lot ! Lovely Restaurant and Reception staff . Two perfect elevators and even a machine for cheap water , coffee , sweets and sandwiches . There are very few shops in the surroundings though ! .... perfect cheap bus connection in front of the Hotel to Malaga ( right in the center , about 40 minutes ) and the Plaza Mayor shopping center ( 15 minutes ) near the Airport . To the airport you better take a taxi with luggage !! ... I loved everything but one question is still in my mind : why does the room-cleaning always start at the same low number on the floor and not change every second day to the end of the row so that not always the same guests have an early cleaned room and the others only in the later afternoon ????

The furniture and beds were quite old. You can easily see from bottom side that the beds and furniture are torn off and out dated. This was not in line with a 4star hotel. The chair and table in the balcony could be made of a better decent material than cheap plastic ones. Also, the quality of things in changing room for the indoor pool was not as expected. It was too old fashioned. It could be improved a lot.

Extremely convenient for the beach which is quiet in October. There's also a nice beach restaurant just outside the hotel. Close to the airport without suffering from too much noise. Good buffet available at each meal time, which was especially useful for the children. Taxis to/from the airport cost approx 15 euros, so do not take up booking.com's offer of arranging a taxi in advance at a higher cost! Taxis are available at the airport and at the hotel. Be aware that Spanish indoor pools require a swimming hat. The hotel sells them and they are quite comfortable to wear so not a problem.

Supper started at 7.30 pm which worked fine for us because of the one hour time difference, so it did not feel too late for the children. But I would think it might be a little late for English children if they are very young. Please do not believe all of the description that booking.com gives eg bathrobes and slippers are not provided. The hotel has told booking.com that this is the case so it is not the hotel at fault. The easiest way into the city was by taxi which took 20 minutes, for 15 euros. The hotel is not so convenient for public transport. A bus takes 45 minutes into the city. The outside pools are quite cool in October!

The indoor pool was a nice touch in the winter . Only about 15 minutes drive to the airport.

Nothing in the surrounding area apart from the beach as everything seemed to be closed for the winter. Charging for car parking when there is loads of free parking on the street outside . Not keen on buffets for the evening meal and the a la carte menu pretty basic

Location of the hotel. It is a very quiet area with no other hotels around. There is a bus station, n°5 bus, exactly near hotel so you can go in the centre of the city very confortable. At 5 minutes distance with taxi (Uber) and 6 EUR, there is a shopping area, Designers Outlet Malaga (Plaza Mayor) with more than 200 shops and a very nice serving food area. Very close to the hotel (200 meters) there is a shop, OpenMar, you can find absolutely everything you forget home leaving in hurry and I say ABSOLUT everything. Near the shop there is a restaurant where you can eat a delicious paella. In fact there are 2 restaurants. The beach at hotel is vary cozy, with sun umbrellas and there is also a fine restaurant where they cook for you a fish you picked up from a shelf with ice. The sea is very deep very close to the beach so take car to small children if they don't know to swim. The restaurant is nice, very clean, there is a variety of food, every day, the personal is very attentive to tourists requests and there is a chef frying meat, fish, chicken or pork, direct în front of you. You have to pay for the drink. The variety and arrangement it's almost like at All Inclusive. There is a playing area for the kids, with a lot of mechanical games. There is a vendor machine with medicines and one with refreshing drinks. The pool is clean all the time and the sun beds are enough for about 70 tourists, more or less. There is a bar, a pool bar, where you can serve refreshing drinks. The personnel is very friendly and helpful (two thumbs-up) with everything you need or requests you might have.

The weather is very windy, especially during the afternoon, but unfortunately only God can control that fact. The walls between rooms are very thin so be careful what are you talking or what "activities" you develop in the room, alone or with your partner. Otherwise your neighbours will smile to you, very subtle, even you didn't meet them ever before.

Travelled to watch the Davis Cup finals and stayed 5 nights in the hotel Sol Guadalmar. A very nice hotel located right on the beautiful sandy beach. Friendly and always smiling staff. The room was super spacious and had a sea view. Large and comfortable bed. Beautiful outdoor pool area. There is also an indoor pool and a fitness room available. A rich breakfast buffet. The bus stop (no 5) in front of the hotel. Direct bus connection to Málaga downtown. The shopping centre Plaza Mayor within walking distance. The hotel is located very close to the airport - you can take a bus or taxi. Great weather in late November - 24 degrees and sunny every single day of my stay.

Thin walls, I could hear the chairs being shuffled in the other rooms. There was no toilet brush in my room.

I booked the superior room with frontal view. The room was bigger than photos. The view was panoramic, you can watch the sea from every side. Facilities of the room were also good, it had an iron and ironing table, tooth brushes, shaving cream and coffee. The bed was king size and very comfy. Room was extremly clean and the cleaning staff were extra friendly. The hotel location is on the beach, the beach was not crowded at all since there is no hotels around. Also it is 5 minutes to the airport. However it is very far from the centre, there is a bus stop by the hotel, but it takes 30-40 minutes, so a car would be necessary for people staying for days in malaga. Restaurants in Malaga have strange working hours and no restaurants deliver to this area they said "too far". Food was a problem but Cafe Las Ninas that was 3 minutes walk from the hotel, saved the day.
