Excellent on both counts. But unfortunately, the sun beds, were all taken by 8 in the morning, and most people did not arrive down to use them for 3 to 4 hours later after leaving their towels on them. Most ANNOYING - for this reason, I would have to think strongly if I would return - otherwise great hotel. Regards, Joan

Excellent location. Very attentive & friendly staff & spotlessly clean in all areas of the hotel.

Dinner in the Spanish restaurant located within the hotel. The food was much better in the main buffet style restaurant.

Fantastic cleaning and super nice food, lovely view and very helpful staff. Everyone seems happy to work there which is a huge plus in my opinion.

The gym could be better but still gets the job done for a vacation.

For me everything was perfect. My room was spotless clean, bright, modern and spacious. I was concerned at first being on the lower ground level but I actually wouldn’t have changed it. I had a great view over the gardens to the sea which was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. The food and choice of food was amazing, I was really surprised at the different choices there were. The staff were fantastic…they were very friendly and very helpful. Location was also really good. There was also a really nice gesture from the hotel, being my birthday, I returned to my room to find a bottle of champagne!🥳

The variety and quality of food was really good. Plenty of space in which to select our breakfast food. Of course the toasters are never quick enough!! Spanish or English we could take our pick. The service was really slick, tables cleared immediately. The fabulous thing was the staff. Everyone who served us or directed us to a table, was so friendly, and appeared happy in their work. They appeared well trained.

Prices of drinks were high. I'd really appreciate an "all inclusive" package. We have used A.I. in other hotels in other countries, and it works well. No facilities to make a cup of tea in our room. If you could fix that, I am sure it would be popular. The evening entertainment was not great.

Hotel was in a fantastic location. Hotel was clean and service was very good, with a great buffet service for breakfast and dinner. It was nice to be able to book the Spanish restaurant by the pool for slightly more formal dinner, which was lovely.

Not sure if the sound proofing between the walls isn't great or our neighbouring guest was deaf but we had to listen to their loud TV constantly, including one morning from 6am. Did not appreciate having to pay 12 euros for the inroom safe.

My recent stay at Riu Monica Hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to nearby beach and restaurants. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The room itself was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with a nice view, The amenities were top-notch, including a beautiful pool and a delicious breakfast and dinner spread with plenty of options to choose from. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, making it easy to stay connected.

Nightly entertainment in the hotel was kind of passé, with outdated musical performances.

Nice big hotel with lots of open space on lobby floor. Breakfast buffet key to our stay. Plentiful and good. Coffee in dining room an 8! Fast service in dining room. Location was perfect, loved the top floor balcony and view. Loved the shower. Big room and very clean! Indoor pool gorgeous! Anna at reception and Host Antonio at dinner were friendly, efficient pros!

No coffee maker in room! No complimentary beverage station in main lobby. Outside buffet hours, hotel felt deserted with no bar/café/restaurant open on main floor. Frankly, hotel decor was cold, uninspired and somewhat clinical. Bar entertainment was awful. Spanish À la carte food was atrocious! Not up to standards. Inside pool water too cool. Could not see sunsets from balcony!!

Excellent Hotel, breakfast was fab, no shortage of sun beds, towels were also plentiful. Great location for The beach & the town. Would defo stay again but not half board as there are too many lovely places to eat in Nerja.

I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay an additional €399.30 when I arrived at the Hotel, despite being assured by Booking.tcom in writing of the price. I also didn’t like the fact that I messaged booking.com about this but they have failed to respond to me.

Everything was very good. Great room. Staff were friendly. Entertainment was very good.

I had food poisoning one day, i had not eaten or drank anywhere else, only the hotel. Other than the hotel was very good.
