We were given a room for handicapped people. Ok, that is strange because the hotel wasn’t full, but not a problem. To bad it did not smell very fresh.

Breakfast was very good. Location excellent for shopping and walking and restaurants Bedroom were very good with great bathroom and shower All the staff were very pleasant and very helpful as we had to cancel our second night due to Airline strike We would have no hesitation in staying here again

There is a cafe for tea and snacks No restaurant, however there are lovely restaurants five minuets walk from hotel

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The biggest appeal for us was its location. It's right next to a market and there is a choice of cafes/bars all around the hotel. It's right in the historic centre of the city with supermarkets 5-7 mins away and bus station/beaches easily accessible by public transport. The hotel itself is in an old, renovated building, which is quite charming. But the rooms are bright and modern with big windows. The room had all the various amenities in a compact manner - big comfortable bed, minibar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, tv and wardrobe space. The bathroom was quite spacious. There are little lovely touches like complimentary water and mini chocolate treats in the room upon arrival. Rooms are cleaned daily with a towel change possible if you request it (by leaving towels on the floor). Our room was at the end of the hallway so we really didn't hear much noise from other guests/hotel and more of the city's sounds. We did not have breakfast in a hotel so cannot comment on that. The checkout is at 12, which is later than many hotels i've stayed at and we were also able to leave the luggage with reception after the checkout. Overall a very pleasant experience. Recommend for a bit of luxury.

Only minor small things to note. None of these have impacted our stay too much, but worth noting. My partner felt that the aircon was very weak. It happened to be a very hot end of September and we slept with the windows open all night (felt safe as we were on the third floor). One glass in the room was chipped and the bathroom bin was broken - we felt those were the details that can be easily replaced/updated for a more luxurious experience. There were kettle/tea bags in the room, but only espresso cups - we had to ask for a proper cup in a restaurant. Finally bathroom storage space was limited. There was a magazine in the room describing all the different hotels in the group, but it would have been more fitting to have a little guide on the city/region instead.

A very comfortable room in a very stylish building in a very central location. Excellent buffet breakfast.

A slightly irritating noise from a running motor in the building which went on continuously.

Great position within easy walk to restaurants and bars and also the secure underground parking just round the corner (get the Telpark app and it’s easy to pre book). Very nice room on 5th floor facing the square at the rear of the property. Spacious, clean, great lighting and decor, massive tv, great shower and (at last on this trip) a decent makeup table for the missus with a good mirror. We did not have breakfast here as much better value 80M down the road.

Not a lot really. Yes there is building work going on outside the front of the hotel but this is hardly their fault and others who mark down for “not letting them know”, should read the reviews and ask for a room at the rear, as we did.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel. The decor and interior was beautiful and features from the old palace had been kept throughout the building though it was very modern in parts. The room had everything we needed incl hairdryer, luxurious soap and lotion and a mini bar. The beds were large and comfortable. Everything was clean! The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was excellent, a stone's throw from the sea promenade, Plaza Pombo and Centre Botin. It was a short walk to the cathedral, the funicular and the bus station.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel!

We had a wonderful check-in with the young female on reception particularly when she found out that we had just completed the Portuguese Camino, we were talking to a fellow pilgrim, and whenever she saw in the hotel. What a delightful surprise I got when we entered our spacious and elegant corner room on the second floor with an enclosed balcony and plenty of fresh air and natural light. We loved the comfortable king bed with loads of pillows, and nightly chocolate on the bed, tea/coffee facility, enomorous bathroom with fluffy towels and bath robes. Breakfast was included in our tarrif, a generous buffet was served with a great variety of foods. The dining room was a pleasant place to start our days off in Santander.

No decent lighting over the bathroom vanity mirror and only espresso cups for coffee, no cups for tea drinkers (supplied when requested).

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city. Surrounded by bars and restaurants and very close to the water front.

As part of our booking on Booking com a taxi was supposed to collect us from the airport. It didn't arrive. The taxi company initially said the driver was at the airport, then after an hour we were told no one would be collecting us. This was not the hotels fault. After chasing through Booking.coms website we were told to get a local taxi and Booking.com would sort it out with us. Booking.com initially said that we couldn't have a refund as we didn't get a receipt. Then sent me an email to say they had reimbursed me....but nothing arrived in my bank so I contacted them again and they once again said that I couldn't have a refund due to no receipt. Very frustrating. We stayed for a week and the bedding was never changed.

The front desk staff were beyond lovely. My room was much bigger than expected and clean, with a wide selection of pillows to choose from for a comfortable night's sleep and good, adjustable lighting. The location is unbeatable if you want to explore Santander. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers.

There was construction work happening directly outside the hotel, pretty much in front of my room and whilst it did not impact my stay during the weekend (when there was no work outside), during the work week, the room windows had to be closed as otherwise, the noise was unbearable. However - a big plus on the quality of windows and shutters, as with them closed, the noise was almost nonexistent

Lovely boutique hotel in very central location, the room was super comfortable and clean, and the hotel itself is very conveniently located a short walk from the Santander bus and train stations. The breakfast is also great, with a room that exudes character, and the coffee machine and pods in the room was much appreciated.

While the room was very comfortable, I could hear people outside walking in corridor and coming from the lift, it could have just been my room as I was right next to elevator lobby, but room insulation could be improved. The staff at check-in counter could also be a bit faster, as it seemed they took forever to check-in the two people in front of me, but these are minor inconveniences compared to an otherwise great stay.
