The property was very central for our needs as we like to walk everywhere. You are 10 minutes from the waterfront and 15 to the nearest beach. There are so many places to eat the cheapest of which are probably just outside the door. The room was spotless and the bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. Even though the room is situated above a busy pedestrian area it quietens down fairly quickly. I am a light sleeper, but I had no trouble sleeping. We were met by Yolanda, a very friendly woman who using the mobile to translate told us all we needed to know about Santander, where best to eat, visit , etc. she was really lovely despite the language barrier. We walked to the Cabo Mayor lighthouse, a long walk which takes in the Palace Magdelena and the beautiful beaches along the way. You can get a bus to these places also. We also visited the El Puntal beach by boat, a round trip of €5 - it rained/ poured from the minute we got off and we walked around in the pouring rain for 1/2 until the return journey. We could of course have stayed on the boat and headed straight back but we’re Irish and well used to the occasional downpour.

The only fault which is minor is that bowls, plates and cutlery could have been provided so that you could eat in your room. We preferred to have a light breakfast before venturing out. Also in most other Pensions that I’ve stayed in coffee and snacks are provided free. Plus side is there is great coffee shop and bakery just a couple of doors up.

Location is right in the centre of the city with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, take a left and keep walking and you end up at the centro botin within 10 minutes or so. We had the city view room which includes a little enclosed sunroom balcony with a table that was perfect for watching the world go by in all weather. Our hostess was very warm, friendly and helpful, she showed us the best places to visit and left us with a map of the area. The bed is by far the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The place was spotlessly clean with the room cleaned and the beds made up everyday. Communication from the owner was also excellent.

Nothing

Everything was very clean and very nicely decorated, but most important of all was the treatment from your staff. Specifically, the person who greeted us when we arrived by the name of “Yolanda “. Her attitude and treatment was above and beyond. She was very courteous, friendly, and also knowledgeable of the surrounding areas, she took the time to explain to us. What would be the best areas to visit both walking or driving. it is people like her that makes our travel more enjoyable. Thank you Yolanda!!!  We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. ..

All was great

The hostess really took her time to give us a warm welcome, explain everything about the room and gave us many tips for places to visit and restaurants, bars etc. The room has been stylish decorated and in a very nice place in Santander if you want to explore the city. It was only for one night but we really enjoyed staying here.

You are staying in the center of a city, so it might be very difficult to find (free) parking. You can make life a bit easier and use the underground parking close to the apartment.

The room had everything we expected and more. Everything was really clean and the beds were big and comfortable. The bathroom was very big and clean too. The staff was really nice and kind. We only stayed one night, but our stay was very pleasant.

The only thing we didn't like was the view from our window. We could only see the courtyard between buildings, which was dark and wet. It's something we didn't care too much because we were only staying for one night. But as far as I know, they have more rooms with really good views of the street.

Everything was good, finding the property was easy, make sure to walk up the 1st flight of stairs as this is where reception is. Our room was large, with a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. Aire Conditioner worked ok and there was also a lift. The bar was very comfy and no noise was heard from outside. There were numerous bars, and turning left plenty of bars and restaurants. Keep walking for 25 minutes and the bars are fabulous, a lot gave tapas with drinks.

Nothing to dislike

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Yolanda who greeted us at the property didn’t speak any English, and we didn’t speak any Spanish, but she was able to fully explain the check in/check out system and also gave us loads of fantastic tips on getting around the city and pointers on where to go/what to see. The room was exactly what we needed. Spacious, secure and well located to allow us to explore with ease.

A fantastic location walking distance from the bus and train station. Wonderful decor, a warm welcome and lots of information about sights and attractions in Santander. Room was clean, comfortable.

The room was a courtyard ’view’, there was no view at all due to frosted glass windows. This meant the room was dark.

Location was perfect and in the middle of a local area so it did not feel touristy which gave a more authentic feel. Easy access, room were perfect for what we needed. Reception staff very helpful with tips on where to go, directions, etc

Little not too like. Its not like a hotel where you will see it from a distance so you need to look out for thew front door which is not a big deal.

The location was excellent. The pension was right in the city centre on a beautiful pedesterian only, shopping street. A 6 minute walk to the popular Concha beach, 7 minute walk to the old town and only a few minutes to the bus station. Perfect. The room was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was suprisingly quiet, with the staff making the effort to be as quiet as possible. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was functional but very small with no bench space. Lighting was a bit dark. A long length mirror would have been very helpful.
