The entry to building is magnificent, with floral displays with a lovely fragrance. Every aspect of the hotel is first class. All bathroom requirement were provided even a hair straightener. Complimentary bottle of sherry and welcome gifts. Beds turned down at nights with a gift and chocolates. Breakfast was fantastic, A la Carte service with five or six courses, set in a beautiful court yard. The rooms are spacious, bed linen and towels are luxurious.

Our only disappointment was the night we had dinner in the restaurant, food was cold, fillet steak was fatty also looked unappetising.

Well.. Where do we start with this experience. Firstly, we don’t often take time to review hotels, but this one deserves a special mention. Our experience of this hotel, its team of personnel is so positive its hard not to sound like we might own the place! On arrival, which was in the middle of Seville’s Holy Week, I was not able to park outside the hotel as normal, & ended up in a city car park just a short walk away. Having explained this by phone to the hotel concierge, Andres worked his way through the procession and helped me carry our luggage, guiding us politely through the crowd and into reception. Champagne on arrival was welcome and Check-In was simple and efficient. Throughout our stay Andres and Alejandro, were extremely helpful sharing local tips for getting around, offered suggestions for places to visit, and made reservations on our behalf. They encouraged us to explore the city, which is invaluable on a short stay. Rose was excellent in suggesting wine choices while relaxing in the Courtyard for late afternoon drinks. In the evening, the Bar staff are equally professional, helping with info regarding the numerous drinks offerings. We had dinner in the Restaurant one night, which was delicious. We are regular travellers and as part of our work spend a lot of time researching hotels, interiors, customer experiences and comfort levels. We have an interest in how bars and dining spaces interact with guests and what makes them behave in a positive manner. Let me say, this hotel, our room and all the circulation and seating spaces are extremely well crafted and leaves no space for criticism. Remember, this hotel is situated in the city. It’s always a risk isn’t it…how well you may sleep, will it be noisy etc. I can assure you the sound reduction from the acoustic balcony doors is superb. Surreal even, when the hum of this bustling city fades away effortlessly. The interior surroundings and facilities in the room are superb.

No sun loungers

We absolutely loved the Don Ramon. It only opened recently after a refurb and the fit out is beautiful, they clearly didn't spare any expense. Our room was lovely and spacious, the staff couldn't do enough for us (and gave us great recommendations on where to go and what to do), it was perfectly located right in the centre of the city within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. And the breakfast was delicious, they were happy to accommodate anything we wanted. We'll definitely be going back.

I don't have any criticisms, but would have loved it if they also had a spa/provided beauty treatments.

We booked room only, it was a great size, the bathroom had plenty of towels nice light settings and felt very relaxing on arrival. All housekeeping was great and the staff were very attentive - they even ask which brand you like for toiletries out of a selection which is a great touch.

The pool area wasn't finished and so there were some workmen, it may have been better to close some of the patio areas, however it didn't change our stay and we were happy to be able to use the terrace. It will be beautiful when complete. Poolside towels outside would be good too instead of bringing from the room.

I loved the interior design of the hotel, it was one of the nicest and best decorated hotels I’ve ever stayed at, it really made you feel like you were on vacation. the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was also unmatched.

the pool area needs a little more work as it lacks shade so the sun can feel quite brutal at certain points of the day but the hotel has just opened so they are probably still working on getting that fixed up so I’m guessing it won’t be like that for much longer

Everything! This hotel is stunningly beautiful, the decor is gorgeous and every detail has been considered. My room took my breath away! It was very spacious, with high ceilings, an extra large bed, separate bath tub, marble floors, stucco style decor on the walls, silent air conditioning- it was one of the most comfortable yet beautiful hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The hotel was so tastefully decorated throughout, in keeping with Seville’s history, I felt like it was a true boutique hotel experience. The smell of jasmine throughout the hotel was divine. The staff are attentive and give your stay a personal touch, but are not overbearing or intrusive in any way. The breakfast is fantastic and the courtyard is like a little oasis of calm. I usually opt for a breakfast buffet but the table service was great and the staff made recommendations which was nice. The freshly squeezed orange juice from Seville oranges is particularly amazing! The rooftop pool is small but perfect for an afternoon dip. The hotel was very quiet when I was there (high summer) so it felt very tranquil and relaxing and the rooftop was empty most days. The location was quite central although the immediate surroundings were not as grand as some other parts of Seville, but it was still only a short walking distance to the main sites and had lots of shops nearby. Overall, if you are even considering this hotel, book it! You won’t be disappointed.

Nothing, I can’t fault it!

Overall Breakfast selection and variety was very good! Serving staff was very friendly. Was only dissatisfied with the eggs Benedict. The first day it was ok, however next days, the poached eggs were not properly drained of water, and the whole dish was not layered as Eggs Benedict should be, should be layer of bread, salmon or ham etc., egg, then hollandaise sauce. The salmon was piled on the side of the plate. Also, the sauce was very watery, should be thicker. Another evening the fish was not properly cooked, the restaurant took it off our bill.

Everything else was very good!

The building in itself is great, especially the interior is stunning. Good location as well. Staff is very friendly and is willing to assist.

There is nothing we didn’t like. If there is one thing that can improve then it’s the “knowledge” of some of the staff about what guests of five star hotels like to see/visit in a city and what there expectations are. But this lack of knowledge is fully compensated by the eagerness to assist. Jorge the manager is also fully in top of it and his service is fantastic.
