The manager was very helpful in finding a ground floor room for my travelling companion,who has difficulty with stairs. Very interesting old property with lots of character. Plenty of parking in the shade on the property which is well set back from the road. Location is good on the outskirts of the town.

Restaurant was closed which was disappointing as after a long car journey it would have been nice to eat at the property.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We took a taxi into Toledo which cost 10 euros each way for 4 of us. The hotel booked it for us and we picked it up outside the hotel. Toledo is beautiful, so full of history. The room was very nice and clean and bed was very comfortable. We ate dinner in the hotel which was very good, our waitress was brilliant but can't remember her name.... and breakfast was also very good.. Would stay here again....highly recomend it.

Proximity to Toledo. We could walk to the Historic centre in just over 30 minutes and a regular bus service was available close to the Hotel. The breakfast was good and not self service. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was excellent spacious underground parking.

Easy to locate. About 1.5 miles from nearest point to Toledo old town with variable quality paths or none making walking problematic. Better to drive. Hotel well equipped and serviced. Rooms functional and well cleaned. We only ate in the “cafeteria” where an adequate breakfast was served and we had a most excellent dinner one evening.

The location, but that was our problem!

This is a reasonably priced hotel approximately a 30 minute walk to the first bridge into the old city of Toledo. One reason I chose this hotel is that it had on site garage parking for my rent a car so that I could park my car securely at the hotel and walk to the old city of Toledo. My room was spacious with a modern bathroom. The room had a small fridge and lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable. In addition, the hotel had a restaurant that served high quality meals. Hotel staff were all courteous and spoke some English. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Toledo.

Great location and only about 2km from St Martins Bridge if you don't mind a stroll, or the bus stop is practically right outside. The rooms were clean & tidy. The staff were very nice & incredibly helpful. Nice bar for having a drink, we didn't use the restaurant as we found some great places in town to eat. There was lots of parking behind the hotel (free). There is a pool but it wasn't open in March. Even though the hotel is by a main road it isn't a noisy or busy road.

It's not something we didn't like, just to say this hotel probably wouldn't suit you if you want to be close to bars & restaurants.

A great place about a 15-minute taxi ride into Toledo. It had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Easy access from the motorway. The bar/restaurant had a good range. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The hotel building itself is an attractive building on the roadside leading into Toledo; a pleasant 30 minute walk into the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was average size, and in my opinion would have benefited from new decor, but it was clean and comfortable, and did the job. The rest of the hotel was more pleasing to the eye. Although the room we were given was at the front (roadside) of the hotel, we did not find noise to be an issue. There is a very nice bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, which meant we did not have to go back into the city looking for dinner in the evenings. They had a set menu in the evenings which was good quality and reasonably priced. The restaurant staff were nothing short of delightful; super friendly and welcoming and eager to please, but it would help to have a few stock phrases of Spanish handy, or be ready to play charades! We had arrived to early for check-in and so we went to the bar for a light lunch. While we waited with our wine, they brought a tray of snacks; olives, and salted snacks, which we thought was a very nice touch. This was standard practice every time we went there. There was a good choice of continental breakfast but due to Covid, this was all pre-wrapped on the counter and had to be ordered from a list and was then waiter served. I chose the Spanish omelette both days which was delicious. We will definitely choose La Bastida again on our next visit to Toledo.

My only criticism really is that the room looked a bit tired and jaded, and would have benefited from a refresh. Otherwise a completely satisfactory and pleasant stay at this hotel.

Very nice hotel on the outskirts of Toledo. The staff were very friendly and helpful providing information about access to the city, parking etc. Our room was quiet and comfortable with all the normal facilities. A pleasant drink on the terrace was followed by a good nights sleep and a superb breakfast. Free underground parking was a bonus for my soft top MX5.

I would struggle to find fault so I won't.

3 of us were on Motorcycles, secure underground parking was perfect. Had a triple room with 4 beds in, plenty of room. Food in the hotel was excellent. About a 30 minute walk into the old town from the hotel but buses are available very close to the hotel. Recommended for similar travellers like us. Great value too!
