This hotel is a special one; an old royal palace that has been converted into a boutique hotel in the Marriott chain. The common areas were really pretty and unique, and we took advantage of our Marriott platinum status to upgrade our room, which was very spacious. We also requested the room with the best AC, as we had just spent a miserably hot night elsewhere before arriving. We did, in fact, get the room with the best AC and nearly froze all night. LOL! Breakfast was very nice, a special spread was brought to our table, rather than the typical buffet. The staff was great, and the location in the historic downtown was really great. We could set out walking from the front door and get lost in the unique town. We were able to walk to the El Greco Museum, and also to the cathedral.

We were able to unload our bags at the front door of the hotel, but parking is in a paid structure around the corner and down the road a bit. This was all unavoidable, but it just made it a bit of an inconvenience. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer.

The accommodation is well appointed, really nice style. The location is very central and close to the cathedral and central area. We felt breakfast was too expensive at € 25 per person, we took breakfast once and it was fine, but we still feel € 25 is too much.

We didn't have dinner because the dining room was not open in the evenings during our stay. The bar food menu had a lot of seafood dishes wasn't suitable a suitable option for our group. Often there was no staff at the bar for service.

Lovely hotel that matches the charm and beauty of Toledo. Good location as anything located within the city walls is! Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the breakfast which btw is not a buffet style but served on a large wood 'tray'. The rooms are large to very large and decorated in 18th and early 19th century style.

Everything was fine yet nothing that made it really stand out to go from very good to excellent.

Beautiful hotel, very well located, close to all the main areas to visit but in a quiet street. Comfortable, big bed; very pretty room and big bathroom. The only issue would be the wifi, sometimes did not work perfectly well. Overall, lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff and a good price for a five star hotel. I would only comment that the breakfast option at 22 euros per day is a very expensive option for someone that does not eat a lot in the morning. Could be good to propose other options.

Wifi did not work always well (rare occasions). Breakfast too expensive.

The location is perfect for the old town with beautiful views. It's in a lovely old convent that has been done up into a clean new hotel.

The only downsides were that we didn't realise we were going to be charged a daily rate for the garage and the car park lifts weren't working so we had to carry two heavy bags down several flights of stairs. Also the "swimming pool" that it suggests is in the gym area, doesn't exist. Apart from that, it's a great hotel.

Good value for money. Wonderful charming room (we got upgraded). Classy interiors. Worth 5 stars. I would definitely come back

Someone at reception was welcoming and helpful. Someone else less (I name the sin and not the sinner 😉). Breakfast staff was friendly and professional, yet I left the room a little bit hungry. More bread, cereal, etc. would have been appreciated. I'm sure I would get them by asking but this might be a time consuming process

I loved the foyer bar area. A lovely grand space.

The location, although not far to walk, was on the quiet fringes of the town. No shops/restaurants near it. The view from my little balcony was of a side street/alley way. No character to be seen. The coffee machine had only two mini cups not big enough for a large coffee (perfect for an expresso) and definitely not suitable for a cup of tea.

Staff was great, easy check-in, housekeeping attentive, good location, beautiful and comfortable lobby.

The price of the breakfast was a little confounding at least in relation to the price of the room. I never had the breakfast but it was huge and had everything you could possibly want for breakfast.

Beautiful location in the old town of toledo. Quiet and far from the touristic side. Very near to all that was needed. We had breakfat in the old town each morning and found great places to eat for dinner. The hotel is very comfortable and warm. Everything worked well and was very elegantly done. Importantly for us the bed was excellent!

Maybe a better bar service and lower cost breakfast would have enticed us to eat in more.
