Right from when we met Carlos at reception we knew our stay here would be a pleasant one. the staff could not have been more accommodating, despite it been very quiet due to the time of year. The hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet village between Torremolinos centre and Benalmedena Harbour. It’s 10mins gently walk to Montemar train station, and 20 mins walk in the other direction to Torremolinos station. The trains between Fuengirola-Malaga are every 20 mins and stop at both these stations. The private terrace at the top has beautiful views over the sea and the mountains. Our balcony also had an awning that could be retracted, so great for shade or for keeping some of the rain away! We asked to be able to keep our room a few hours when checking out due to some very wet weather outside, and were able to keep it until early afternoon without any further charge, a small gesture that meant so much! The hotel bar is reasonably priced, and there are a number of cafes and bars serving good food, plus a supermarket and a bakery within a few steps of reception.

If I was been picky, the door to main corridor didn’t keep out much noise, but this wasn’t an issue for us given how quiet it was when we stayed.

All staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. We received a free upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the pool which was lovely. Breakfast was great with plenty of options.

In our opinion, the price to use the spa area for an hour (60euros) was very expensive. This was the only thing that stopped us rating the hotel higher.

Rooms were great; my group had three rooms in total -- one large double with twin beds facing the street, another double that was on the small side with a small terrace and another double with a slightly larger balcony. If you're staying with two people in a room for more than a couple of nights I would opt for a larger room if possible. Rooms were very clean, staff were great, especially Carlos who went above & beyond for my group. Bar staff were nice and hotel itself was well kept with a small but beautiful pool area and solarium/upper level sun deck. I would recommend.

Rooms facing street were quite loud; some sort of sound-proofing or better windows might help with this.

Small, quiet, friendly, clean, in ideal location for bars n beach ..just what I like. Loved the mirror frames.. unusual. Reception promptly provided anything we asked for eg kettle, extra pillows, ordering taxis. Breakfast had good choice and tables were cleared swiftly keeping place pristine at all times. Pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Room with terrace and pool view recommended. Hotel bar prices at a par with bars in La Carihuela area.

Our room was near reception (003) so anyone using the stairs or lift could be heard coming n going, dragging Wheely suitcases at various hours. Also,the bedside lights could be better if they worked independently instead of both off at same time regardless of which switch was used at either side of bed. Would also be helpful if there was a sign in jacuzzi reminding people to press the off button when they get out cos it's quite noisy.

Staff lovely,..rooms nice decor , beds comfy, location excellent,cleanliness and house keeper very good done daily, powerful shower , would recommend our pool view room and would stay here again. Fridge in room with selection of drinks that weren't overpriced was good too.

Not having no hot water for first 2 days wasn't great but manager dealt with it. Nothing else we didn t like the below are just comments to make proper 4 star experience If all rooms are same as 304 we were in they would be better having a dressing table with a mirror and stool on it instead of the table and big chair in the room for women to get ready at as there is a light there or just put a desk mirror on desk in the room. Personally would prefer kettle in room so can have tea,rather than Nespresso machine . Seen comments on no full length mirrors but one side of sliding wardrobe doors could be mirrored to rectify this. Larger shower towel and there was no toilet brush in bathroom .

We stayed one night. This is a very nice city hotel one block back from the beach. The price reflects the good standard. Very welcoming staff who happened to speak good English. We had a quiet room at the back looking onto a similar building. Not too close though. We came by car. You can offload bags outside the hotel on the one way street but you cannot park. We parked free in a charming nearby square with shops by the sea. only 5 minutes walk back to the hotel. The facilities are modern, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean bathroom. Everything working well. There is a small pool at the back in a quiet space which guests were enjoying. The hotel was within easy walking distance of a pedestrian area of shops and restaurants. At the far end it opens out into a delightful small square with trees where there was a Spanish restaurant offering delicious food. We had a lovely evening.

Only stayed one night on way back to airport. Check in was quick and we were offered a larger room as ours was not ready, couldn't really fault the hotel for value, we did not have any meals there so couldn't comment on them. Pool area was lovely and we had it to ourselves for most of the afternoon

The other guests, was kept waken most of the night due to coming and going of other guests finally nodded off around 1.30 am only to be wakened at 2.45 with doors banging and couples arguing, not the hotels fault but it doesn't entice you back. We have stayed before and had no problems at all

We like the pool area. It was pretty quiet when we stayed but if it was more busy it may become crowded and uncomfortable. Loved the bed. Very comfortable! Great location and lovely staff.

Overall we thought the room was alittle small. We thought we booked a bigger room with a bath tub but we only had a shower. The decor in the reception area could be updated as there was fall paper fallen off walls etc. And while we were there the lift broke which is no one's fault but very uncomfortable walking up to floor 4.

Very good hotel! Spacious rooms, very clean, well-equipped. Good location close to the center, bus to Malagia 2 minutes from the hotel. Staff very polite and helpful! After checking out, you can leave your luggage and even take a shower after the beach (we got all the cosmetics and towels). There is a small free parking in front of the hotel, we parked our car without any problems. Breakfasts were very tasty. I recommend!

A quiet, relaxing, understated hotel. All the staff were charming and helpful. We were allocated the room requested so really pleased. The restaurant provided excellent quality breakfast every day with plenty of choices, no overcrowding and no fuss. very relaxing. A great little value for money hotel.

Nothing really, however, some of the furnishings (particularly the terraces and solarium) are starting to look a bit tired.
